We discovered on a Saturday that our water heater had failed and leaked throughout our downstairs…read more Fortunately, we were able to get a plumber out that day to replace it, and he recommended Martin at Emerald Isle Restoration to help us deal with the aftermath. Martin took my call that Saturday, and we connected on Monday so he could assess the house. He took photos and moisture readings, set up fans and drying equipment, and got the mitigation process started. It was a stressful situation, and having someone who knew what to do next was a big help. His support continued well after the remediation was finished. There was a lot of back-and-forth with our insurance company, and Martin worked with the adjusters, provided documentation, and pushed back when work was left out of the estimate. It took around three months for insurance to finally pay, and he kept following up until the remediation portion was fully settled. You have to have a lot of patience to be in this business, and Martin certainly does. We really appreciate that follow-through. Thanks to Martin and the Emerald Isle team for helping us get through a difficult chapter with our home.
