My mother has lost her strength and is unable to get out of bed on her own to open the window blinds. Her room is just a dark depressing cave. All day. She has become unhappy and I can tell she is also becoming depressed. How is any elderly person expected to be happy and thrive in that type of environment. She just wants to see some daylight like any normal human being. Another family member and I have both spoken to the staff about this problem and nothing has changed. After sitting around my house for an hour waiting with my husband and elderly father-in-law the office admin never showed up for the appointment. There was no phone call she was running late or that she couldn't make it due to something unexpected. If the office staff can't keep their appointments with introducing the company to new clients then how could we ever trust that their staff would follow through and show up on time. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable for a company who supposedly cares about senior care. I wouldn't recommend anyone wasting their time to potentially get stood up like we did.

None of my family members who were in the house day-to-day want this agency back; only my relatives who get their info through this agency recommend them. I have not initiated contact with Home Care & More for months now, but they continue to contact me by phone, SMS, & Yelp message as recently as yesterday 7/10/19 to get my review taken down. They are bullying me with false accusations to make me look so bad I'll delete my reviews. Since everything I wrote is 100% true, I've left them up. Over time, their lies have escalated & gotten incredibly nasty & unbelievable. NONE of what they accuse me of is true -- it's all retaliatory. I NEVER EVER would have expected any of this given how kind, sincere, & cooperative they seemed. But see the screenshot of one of their "nicer" personal attacks. I've spared you the rant (blacked out), but you can see the last sentence totally unedited & exactly as Suraj wrote it... Why would a "professional" ever say such a thing? It's just one of so many bizarre, inappropriate, & untrue things they've said. I mentioned my ex only once (in brief chitchat about India) because he got me to go there -- how could I know they'd treat my personal info like this? After all my parents & I have been through, my best advice for your family is this: Go to your local Senior Services Agency (e.g., Minuteman Senior Services) & contract with a home care agency through them if you can. If you have any issues, your senior services contact will help advocate to get them resolved. If you are income-eligible, senior services may even cover part of the cost. If that isn't possible, find an agency that's been doing this 10+ years so they have a lot of experience (& more aides who can quickly step in if someone gets sick, doesn't work out, etc). I was able to find multiple such agencies recommended by local senior services professionals. None of them offered free services to get my business, but they also didn't feel they needed to. Some were cheaper too (HC&M charged my family $35/hr).

Yes Five Stars. Not given lightly. My father first used this company because of a friend's…read morerecommendation a year ago. He had just had a pace-maker installed and needed help at home. Complete Private Home Care sent out various people to handle everything we needed, carefully following his Primary Care Physician's list. This included an initial consult with Sue and then Danielle the nurse in charge of all the other aides and therapists. I know their names because I had to use them again after my father ended up in the hospital again this time with pneumonia. I didn't have much experience with home health workers when I hired Complete Home Health. However because of my age (mid 50s) I have had too much experience with my friend's parent's aides and assisted living situations. Also I had to oversee aides in Texas for my grandparents. So while I had not personally hired but one aide before (freelance--without an agency--also a friend's recommendation) I do feel able to award those five stars. What sets them apart? First they are very professional. I think perhaps because they are a smaller company, they are on top of each of their clients. They always knew who I was, and who my dad was and which workers were involved in his care. The co-ordinator Jon has a handle on all the clients. Next, the Administrative nurse has a great list of caregivers she can call upon. My father had problems swallowing and was prone to inhalation pneumonia, the therapists helped him learn strategies for eating. Physical therapists taught him to get him up walking again, home assessors came for safety. Further, they took a huge load from my shoulders by communicating with my father's Primary Care Physician at Harvard, so I did not need to still be in charge of all that on top of all the rest I was in charge of. Finally, all the people were loving and I never worried someone would steal from us or hurt my dad. They demonstrated far more patience than frankly, I had left in me. They suggested intelligent solutions to home problems such as different pill containers, cutting back shrubs for ease on stairs, removing certain roll around chairs, etc. They responded Immediately, and were able to be at the house within 4 hours of suddenly learning he was being released from rehab. When I was forced to hire them for out of pocket 24 hour care, they were able to make this far more affordable by charging for blocks of hours. Because we had installed 2 Drop-cams we could see that the 24 hour aides were never more than 20 feet away. This is a fabulous company. Hire them and feel safe. If you are like me, you need it.
