She was kind, patient and truly showed true concern and willing to take the time to answer my questions. I asked. I know the time is coming in the future where my husband is going to need more regular caretaking. I personally observed her speaking to staff members in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner, including yelling on the floor. Her behavior was noticeable enough that visitors were able to overhear the interaction. Unfortunately, this did not appear to be an isolated incident. I have witnessed her being unpleasant and disrespectful toward others on more than one occasion. Regardless of the circumstances, healthcare professionals are expected to communicate with coworkers respectfully and maintain professionalism, particularly in an environment where patients and their families are present. It was very concerning to see this type of conduct taking place around patients and visitors. Healthcare is supposed to be an environment centered around compassion, dignity, teamwork, and respect. No staff member should feel comfortable treating others this way, especially on the patient-care floor. I sincerely hope management addresses this behavior appropriately. Patients, families, visitors, and staff deserve to be in an environment where everyone is treated with basic respect and professionalism.

But once we moved her to OAKMONT Whittier, my mother thrived! She bloomed, she had joy again and her spirit sparkled. Everyone was welcoming and friendly staff members, and residents. The food is absolutely delicious. Mom felt spoiled. She enjoyed the many activities and appreciated that she was able to share ideas for movies and activities to try. My sister and I were so relieved that mom was well cared for. We had good communication between us and the staff caring for mom. We had no worries. Such a blessing. Mom has since passed unexpectedly and I must share that my sister and I miss visiting. We loved all the kindness and support of staff members Anabel, Kimberly, Lindsay the chef and servers and so many others.

Isabel answers my calls after hours. Once she even came in on her day off to check on my mother while I was out of town so I could talk to her. She buys her things without me asking and won't take my money. I can say she's truly an angel. Her staff is amazing as well. The kitchen personnel are so sweet and make my mom special foods. The dietary director is also so attentive. Nick in maintenance is one of a kind always bending over backwards. He really should be Supervisor. If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars.

He was with 2 other WWII veterans they shared stories, memories and love of music with each other and the staff. There is only 5 residents there which makes it great for all the attention these people get. The house is always clean and doesn't smell, the residents and clothes are always clean. They always celebrate some kind of event just to make them happy. My dad would say he felt support and love from everyone even on his bad days they were by his side. Phone contact was great any problem or needed information they called us right away. I wish to thank the staff we love you and will forever hold a special place in our hearts for you.

The owners and staff are very kind and caring people. Mom and I were very happy with their kindness, the food they prepare and serve, constantly doing laundry and cleaning .... You name it, they do it. They even keep company with them and play games if they are up for it. They also helped me get hospice care for my mom since her health care provider was dragging their feet and thank God they did. My mom didn't live long because of an ongoing health battle but she was very well cared for. The owner and staff treated us like part of their family. I got to visit quite often, and they were just so sweet. I cannot say enough about this place to convey how happy I was with the service they provided throughout the entire time my mom was there. My mom has memory issues and has been attending…read morefor about 3 weeks now, and I have already noticed a big improvement in her mood and confidence. Before Sunrise, I had her enrolled at another facility nearby. Unfortunately, that place was dirty and run down. Many times the bathrooms did not even have toilet paper, and the environment did not feel clean or safe for my elderly mother. It was very concerning. The difference with Sunrise is truly night and day. The facility is very clean, the food is fresh, and they offer more filling meal options. The staff are patient, kind, and very friendly with all of the participants. I especially want to thank the social worker Karen who worked very hard to help me sign up for ACCESS transportation. I was a little disappointed that even though we live close by, Sunrise could not provide transportation for my mom, but I hope that will be possible in the future. Caregiver Jazmine is also amazing. She is very kind and extremely patient with all of the elderly participants. My mom talks about her often, and it makes me feel safe and happy that we found such a wonderful place for her. I do hope they can continue to expand their activities and possibly include more physical therapy and memory games for the participants. Overall, we are very grateful for the care and support Sunrise has given my mom.

My 93 year old mother was only here for a short period. During that time I had the opportunity to see them in action. They were never short or unwilling to fulfill my requests. I was there a lot because, I am a helicopter daughter. But if you cannot be there know your loved one is in good hands.
