This created avoidable anxiety and stress. For a project of this size and cost, customers should be able to rely on clear contracts and straightforward timely communication. Thankfully, now we can communicate with team members outside of sales. In the end, we are happy with how everything looks.

The tech turned my yandy valve in the wrong direction starving my new (3 month old) Hayward pump causing damage to my pump then denied doing it. He blames the roofers, the roofers blame the solar guy and I get stuck trying to figure out how to get this warranted without getting screwed. If you hire these guys, put a camara on the crew at all times and set up camp to observe everything they do. The design is good. The people , not so much. I'm sure they are not all bad but I got the bad one. In todays world with people in the working field who don't give a crap if they do a good job or not, be careful who you hire. So here is a sample of their crappy lazy work. Could have used extra pipe and bypassed the outlet but....NOPE....forced the lines around it. I told the tech that those lines will fail. He bullshits me into oh we'll take care of it....please.

Extremely Disappointed - Misleading Financing and Unfair Practices…read more I would never recommend A.G.U. Roofing Company after my experience. I originally contacted them about getting a new roof and solar using the PACE financing program offered by the State of Florida. A.G.U. told me in writing that the interest rate would be 7.99%, which sounded reasonable. Based on that, I agreed to move forward. When I got the final numbers, the rate had jumped to 12.79%, far higher than what was promised. I told them that was too much and decided to do just the roof and pay cash instead. I ended up paying over $20,000 for the roof alone, which I later found out was very high compared to other estimates I received. Now, even after I've paid in full for the roof, A.G.U. is trying to charge me a $1,000 cancellation fee just because I didn't do the solar. That is completely unfair, especially since their own misleading information about the interest rate is the reason I canceled the solar in the first place. This company's sales tactics are deceptive, their pricing is excessive, and their business practices are unacceptable. Be very careful before signing anything with them. I truly regret doing business with A.G.U. Roofing.

I called Monday afternoon for an estimate to install a Tesla charger, and just one hour later, Nelson was at my home. 10/10 stars for Palmer electric which I do not own. Our house power failed last night after weeks…read moreof flickering. We called another company who claimed to have emergency service at midnight and stayed up for hours awaiting a call back. Finally we went to sleep to awake at 7 am and call Palmer. A qualified technician called us in 30 minutes (at no charge) and told us to call Duke to confirm it wasn't their issue. Duke said within an hour it was house not them. Palmer was out within an hour thereafter with ample communication during that time. Come to find out the main line connected to our main service box had fried and could have actually caused a fire. Thankfully it didn't. Around the time (10 am) we had a prognosis from Palmer at a reasonable non-emergency rate the other company called us back but we already had a resolution. They would have charged us $250 for a service charge far above what Palmer charged. We found out from Duke that Palmer is one out of three preferred vendors and we were in good hands and many other companies would have charged a service call without ruling out them first. All this to say we are Palmer customers for life. I will also talk to Palmer about making their yelp say they have 24 hour service which deterred us from calling them first as yelp said they were closed versus the other company who obviously didn't really have emergency afterhours service.

Before replacing my roof I reviewed three bids from the top three popular companies in my area…read more Living in a very strict gated community with a strong HOA I did not want to add any stress to myself by choosing a subpar company. Everything had to be done exactly as contracted and in a timely professional manner. Of the three bids ANC was the highest by $1400.00. After taking a few weeks to research each company and weighing out my options I decided to go with ANC. They have an excellent reputation in my neighborhood and they were the only company that said that they do not use subcontractors. The process of replacing the roof took three days from start to finish. The crew showed up a day after expected and worked a day later. There was a mishap that resulted in some damage to my neighbor's property. An after hours plumber was called out pretty quick and adequate apologies were extended to my neighbor along with a gift card. They were happy with the results. The crew also attempted to install our roof while it was raining. For safety reasons I asked them to stop working while it is raining and they responded well. I thought that everyone was very respectful and pleasant. When they completed the job my property was left clean and orderly. It is their policy not to take any payment before the county code inspector does their inspection. It did not appear to concern them that payment is made several days after their work is completed.
