Black gold philodendron
Cassie G.

Apenberry's was a very nice garden shop with SUPER friendly and attentive staff. I especially liked how they let me browse without hovering but were available for questions as I needed. I was stuck between two philodendrons and ended up with the pink princess but it he black gold was also lovely. The plants here are well cared for so while a little pricey for some of the more exotic plants you'll get a healthy plant that's sure to last. The variety is good. I was hoping for some smaller versions of some rare plants but the smallest I found was 4" pots around 32 for both the philos I was choosing between. Still a good price for specialty plants. The staff was knowledgeable about care for the plants and didn't try to upsell a thing. All in all a good experience!

As noted in my review last year, my lawn service recommended Apenberry's for grass plugs. Based on my experience the first time, I returned four more times to get both indoor and outdoor plants as well as additional grass plugs. I stopped by again this week to get some perennials that would survive the Florida summer. (I'm originally from the MIdwest so I needed helpful guidance from their experienced personnel.) I was greeted by Deborah as she saw me exploring the various plants on the property. I pointed out some of my selections and she helped me determine which would best fit my needs. We discussed various "Florida friendly" plants as she called them, and I purchased several items based the excellent pricing and her input. I also went to look at their indoor plant selection given I had great success with my previous purchases from here. I again was assisted by Natalie. Last year, she helped me decide on the succulents I acquired. I complimented her on her suggestion to use a spray bottle to lightly water the soil once a week and stated that both plants were thriving. This time, we discussed the lighting of the room where my purchase would reside, and she concurred it would definitely work in that location. Finally, I appreciate how the representatives walk you to your car and bring along paper to place inside the vehicle to prevent any spillage or mess.

The day I bought the flowers.

Absolutely great service from the girls here they took the time to educate me on what flowers to buy to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. They also told me about different pots and how many flowers could grow in the pots based on size. Love how these flowers have grown. I can't wait to come back and buy more!

A plant gift!

Stopped by for a few gifts. I love the selection, so many plants and pots to choose from! I ended up with a healthy snake plant and a beautiful orchid. The orchids came in a variety of colors white, purple, yellow, pink, and a mix of all of the above. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. They wrapped my plants free of charge because I was purchasing them as gifts. I didn't even know it was possible to wrap a plant but the bags with tissue paper make perfect little presents. I don't live in Florida but I was considering flying home with a few plants in my luggage. That's how much I love this place :)

The only thing wrong with Apenberry's is that I always get carried away!! They have so many incredibly beautiful plants I am almost overwhelmed. I did manage to leave the most beautiful Dahlia I've ever seen, but I've been thinking about it constantly since I saw it and think I'll have to return soon. Used up the two bags of potting soil I bought anyway so I have to go back, right? If you are looking for healthy herbs, gorgeous flowers, succulents, or unusual pots, this is the place to go! They also have ladybugs. I bought some when Peyton was little and released them.

Heather gave me some great suggestions that were immensely helpful as a new gardner. Great experience

Great first experience! As a new Gardner, heather was immensely helpful in making the right selections. 10/10 recommend!

The selection here is great, and my favorite part about it is the help you get from the staff here. You can tell that they really care about what the customers is asking. Dakota helped us out and he was great!

So many florals for spring!!

This place is my new JAAAAM. I stopped here almost by accident .. because I need more plants like I need a hole in my head.. I've been to a gazillion nurseries in my lifetime, but never one like this that has CLEARLY MARKED PRICES ON EVERYTHING!! The aisles are clear and everything is organized. There are no guessing games on pricing, phew!! When I came here in spring they have LOADS of flowers options which I've never really seen anywhere else. So many unique plant options, so of course I had to have some new babies in my life. Overall this place is little but has many unique and well taken care of plants. The customer service is IMPECCABLE. Usually when I go to a nursery people assume I am brainless when it comes to plants.. but you can't tell by looking that my major was biology. I'm capable of keeping a plant alive. I needed help getting a large fiddle leaf tree and the girls working there were on it!! They stopped what they were doing and helped me sort out my plants. No judgements. And they offered incredible info on plant care. Customer service is a huge deal to me, and I believe if a store/ retail/ any place truly has a great business then the employees must seem happy and be able to help their customers to the best of their abilities. This place is on the top of my list!! Pricing is fair. Plant options are plenty. They even offered that if there's nothing I loved, they get a new truckload of plants every week and to come back on Thursday or!! They could call me! Incredible. Can't wait to tell everyone about this beautiful hidden gem right in the middle of college park.

Second time at this location because my mom wanted to visit. They have all types of plants, and some pots. We're interested in getting as many fruit plants/trees as we can(especially because of the food shortage/increased prices). I felt peaceful walking around this place. I definitely recommend going if you're a plant lover. I will for sure be visiting again.

Mark C.

Eric was so helpful, I returned two days later for more. The plants I purchased are fairing well and I really enjoyed the difference a small business venture can make verses the big home supply chains don't offer.

Caitlin R.

The staff is so knowledgeable and I really felt like I was getting accurate information on my plants. They were very helpful even when I was indecisive about what I was looking for. I think this is a more affordable place than some of the other nursery's in Orlando. They really take the time to educate you so you can take care of your plants

Bridal flower vine/plant I got from Apenberry's, reasonably priced and I thought was the most beautiful plant there!

Shannon helped us and she was great. She knew everything about every plant we asked about, gave recommendations for placement and choice, and carefully prepared and loaded the plants for us. This nursery is one of my favorites and everyone I take there loves it. As a bonus I think on weekends there is a local bbq vendor in the parking lot!

Hoyas, African violet, baby pitcher plant and some type of pilea.
Trinh G.

Stopped in today looking for some hoyas and found a few to add to my collection. They are so nice and very helpful there. I talked to 3 of the staff and all were smiling behind their masks I'm sure. They told me to check in for new inventory every Friday because their shipment is on Thursdays. The plant collection is huge. Can't wait to stop back in for more plants.

Plenty of parking spots on my visit...easy to get to as well!

We enjoyed viewing the decor, ornaments, wreaths, trees, garlands, ribbon etc. It was nice that they had stuff ready to go that you can take home and display immediately and they have supplies you can buy and build your own! Many of the decorated trees were absolutely gorgeous. You probably could not build the tree for the sale price they were offering. But if it's not your style, they have many trees you can buy and all sorts of stuff to adorn it with. I really liked all the lights. They had huge stars for the lawn and large balls of light to hang as well as firework shaped lights. Very cool. I picked up a tea towel. It was $9.99. I didn't have a need for any of the big stuff but I was fascinated by the designs and color schemes etc. The owner said they've been open for over 50 years. She also mentioned they do business with the theme parks. Pro tip- they start Christmas in July! So that's when the store is stocked full of everything. So shop early for the best selection. They do not ship because things can break and the shipping and insurance is expensive. So while they have a website, it does not have their items and you cannot buy online. So- stop by! I would give an hour just to peruse. If you're buying - it could be a few hours. Also- they have other holiday stuff (Halloween, Fourth of July, etc)and silk flowers for arrangements etc. They also have furniture, many large planters and vases. So this store is not just Christmas.

It's fa la la fabulous. Expensive... extensive... and fabulous. I went to their Christmas in July event, on the last weekend of July 2025. They open at 8:30am and I was there early ( excited!) . They had super friendly parking attendants in Santa hats directing other eager elves to prime parking spots. I was jingling and tingling-so ready to go inside. And I was definitely delighted once I got there... room after room, building after building... full of every Christmas item you could think of, from sacred and soulful to sparkly and shimmery... and everything in between. There were so many trees, decorated in so many themes, with so many accessories, for the rest of the room. I've never seen anything so holly and jolly in the retail world. It really was a feast for the senses (cue the Who's to start singing). There were some really beautiful things-and some prices were high... or at least higher than you'd expect. There were some blue and white cone trees that took my breath away. I'd almost sell my car for those. They were breathtaking-as is so much of this store. And it's not just the merchandise, but the way they've displayed it, as well. It will definitely get you in the holiday spirit... without drinking any holiday spirits. And if the merch doesn't do that, the sweet staff will. They are dedicated and invested in this business... and seem to take great joy in helping customers. No wonder it's survived 50+ years. Santa's smiling at them. It's an easy drive from Tampa... about 90 minutes, give or take. It might be even shorter/easier from the east coast. There's ample parking and truly, something for everyone. I'll look for you! (I'll be the one covered in glitter from hugging trees!)

If you're thinking about going, they are celebrating their 7th anniversary with all kinds of deals through MAY 25! The first standout is the customer service. I received help from Blaine (sp?) today. He is knowledgeable, honest, and easy to talk to. I needed help repotting an orchid. First, I couldn't believe how affordable it was - only $8. Blaine handled my plant with care and explained every step he took, going into detail of why he trimmed certain things, explaining the moss that it needs, and gave me instructions for a watering schedule. He clearly knows his stuff so I also got his advice for my plant purchases as well! I bought 2 cute plants with pots for my patio. Blaine even potted those too. Beyond the service, there was an array of plants and pots in a variety of price points. What also drew me is that there is a diverse collection of popular plants but also rare ones too and they all are grown locally at the BWH Greenhouse in Apopka, FL. The shopping experience is also delightful as there are 2 comfy leather couches to sit - it made the space feel so inviting. I saw several people stop to chat with coffees while I was there. The corner shop seems to have made the most of every square foot. Besides the plant-lined space, and in addition to the cozy couches, there was also a work station for the repotting, and an event room with a large table.
