    $8 shirt in question
    Ashlee S.

I love going to Homegoods and we had some time to kill before heading to dinner so my fiancé suggested we come here to try and kill some time. Its a combo store so it was easy to try and find some treasures. I ended up finding one item that I wanted but the issue was there is definitely a staffing issue at this location. Two registers were open out of about 6 or 7 that they had. One of the cashiers was doing something not sure what and then the other two were occupied by difficult transactions. I stood in line contemplating if the $8 graphic was really worth it which isn't a ton of money but imagine 100 people contemplated putting the $8 shirt back. $800 lost due to a lack of employees. I believe this location just needs more employees especially as a combo store and then it can thrive a bit more but as a customer it is frustrating to when there is a limited amount of workers to keep the line moving efficiently.

Home Goods is rarely a destination for me it's more of a place that I think of stopping in when I see it because I'm close by. This retailer specializes in name brand furniture, linens, cooking products, art and other home accessories offered at somewhat discounted prices depending on what it is and how long it's gone unsold. To me it has a similar business model to Pier One, The Bombay Company or World Market not that they all offer the same items more in the fact that they have teams of buyers scouring the world looking for unique items they can purchase for pennies and sell for dollars and they seem to be pretty successful operating this way. (note their stock value) Besides the huge variety of merchandise that crosses all genre some that can be somewhat interesting, my favorite part of coming here is watching not so much participating in the check out process - it's really great and so outdated it's so funny. Picture this if you've never been, all paying customers line up in one long single file line corralled by a row of shelving that is designed to play on the spontaneous buyer's weakness. The customers are checked out by turn and as the long row of registers become available, the customer on deck is notified by speaker "register number 7 is now available" they go to that specific register and the line advances. This is just another example of how the world has been programmed to be submissive, such a robotic feel - I'm not really a fan for this reason but please go if you have the opportunity I'm an investor and appreciate your contribution... Whether you need to feed a craving or you want to change up your decorations outside in your patio. Most recently for Mother's Day coming up, world market has an entire set of dedicated to Mother's Day and it's absolutely gorgeous. World Market always has a dedicated section to those big holidays, such as Mother's Day and Fourth of July. The list goes on and on. I will preface, however, that this establishment is rather pricey. Just to help you paint a better picture, I purchase a vase, two candles and about three different Korean snacks they had in the back. This all came out to be around $85. I would recommend signing up on their website to become a member so you can enjoy the pleasantries of rewards! they usually give out free gifts with a certain amount purchase, which is pretty cool. Most recently they had an event where they would hide a golden egg in April. The golden eggs were in a hidden spot all over the store and the customers were given hints for each day in order to find said egg. I unfortunately did not find an egg but it was super fun. There were 4 eggs for each day, each egg with a different amount of money to use towards a purchase. Off the top of my head, it was $20, $50, $100. I forgot the fourth egg, but you get the jist. Also, once you come in they have complimentary coffee and tea for you to try. These are actually products that they sell in store so I would recommend checking it out and giving it a try. I ended up drinking some coffee there one day and never stopped buying the coffee from there. Again, I totally recommend coming to World Market! You'll have a "worldly" © experience! *wink wink*. It's my favorite store and I probably come way toooo often.

We went to Belk to exchange or get a refund since he's only worn them 5 times. They no longer had his size so we requested a refund. They said that they can't tell how much we paid being it was over 30 days. The sandals were regularly $65 and we got them on sale for $48 when we purchased them. The store would not credit our Belk account for the $48. Their system would only allow a refund of $17 on a gift card since we didn't have the receipt. If we had known the sandals were going to split like that we would have kept the receipt. I feel that their excuse that the system can't find pricing if over 30 days is total bull crap and a way for the store to profit and the consumer to be out of money for sandals that only last 5 times of being worn. We will no longer shop at their store. They should be able to look up anything that I charged on their Belk Mastercard. You have lost a loyal customer for such horrible customer service.

The problem didn't start until 3 weeks after I bought it. Janet and the girls at the front desk were great, they called their manager Benjamin over to try and help me out. Benjamin was no help. Very harsh and rude. I tried to be reasonable. I told him I'd take store credit, or exchange it for an ac unit that works for what I need. I even offered to sign up for a Home Depot credit card if he took this return on goodwill. I asked several times is their anything we can work out. Someone has to be able to override this. He offered no help no advice. I point blank asked if he wanted to help me and his face said no, his words were uhh I can't help you. Finally he said you can call corporate but they'll tell you the same thing and it'll be a waste of time. Well I called corporate and explained the situation. They helped me find a different AC unit that will work for me. It was easy. No problem at all. It was NOT a waste of time. Home Depot corporate did the right thing and took care of me. The unit I decided on was a little more expensive and I just had to pay the difference. Don't let this location bully you into losing your hard earned money!
