I wish I didn't have to drive to this store but is the closest one to where I live. I have spent over 1500 dollars in the past 3 weeks and every single time my husband and I go to the store we get followed around by loss prevention. its so annoying. one of the visits I had my adult kids with me and my son also noticed it. another day even two of the girls where caging us one of the girls clearly didn't feel comfortable doing that. white people using other minorities to stereotype and harass people due to their ignorance is just unbelievable. read more

This Homegoods/Marshalls combination fits the bill for what you'd typically find in a Homegoods, but it seemed smaller and lacking the quantity of items you'd find in a stand-alone Homegoods. There's a hugely wide aisle circling the store which is nice for social distancing and getting around, but it takes away from the selection of stuff you'd typically browse. The kitchen section was lacking the normally robust selection of gadgets and storage containers and pans that I'm used to seeing. If I lived in the area, I'd probably stop in occasionally to see what they have. But one line for both Marshalls and Homegoods kinda sucks if you just want to grab something and head out. They need an express lane. read more

Dec 5 2024 since their new rearrangement of the store, shopping has been an absolute nightmare. After today , what used to be a weekly shop and browse, I am done for good. Two carts cannot get up ANY of the aisles, store employees chatting away with personal conversations blocking what aisles you can get through. What a living hell. Never again read more

I love going to Homegoods and we had some time to kill before heading to dinner so my fiancé suggested we come here to try and kill some time. Its a combo store so it was easy to try and find some treasures. I ended up finding one item that I wanted but the issue was there is definitely a staffing issue at this location. Two registers were open out of about 6 or 7 that they had. One of the cashiers was doing something not sure what and then the other two were occupied by difficult transactions. I stood in line contemplating if the $8 graphic was really worth it which isn't a ton of money but imagine 100 people contemplated putting the $8 shirt back. $800 lost due to a lack of employees. I believe this location just needs more employees especially as a combo store and then it can thrive a bit more but as a customer it is frustrating to when there is a limited amount of workers to keep the line moving efficiently. read more

Home Goods - $8 shirt in question - Home Decor Near Me - Port Orange, Florida

Home Goods is rarely a destination for me it's more of a place that I think of stopping in when I see it because I'm close by. This retailer specializes in name brand furniture, linens, cooking products, art and other home accessories offered at somewhat discounted prices depending on what it is and how long it's gone unsold. To me it has a similar business model to Pier One, The Bombay Company or World Market not that they all offer the same items more in the fact that they have teams of buyers scouring the world looking for unique items they can purchase for pennies and sell for dollars and they seem to be pretty successful operating this way. (note their stock value) Besides the huge variety of merchandise that crosses all genre some that can be somewhat interesting, my favorite part of coming here is watching not so much participating in the check out process - it's really great and so outdated it's so funny. Picture this if you've never been, all paying customers line up in one long single file line corralled by a row of shelving that is designed to play on the spontaneous buyer's weakness. The customers are checked out by turn and as the long row of registers become available, the customer on deck is notified by speaker "register number 7 is now available" they go to that specific register and the line advances. This is just another example of how the world has been programmed to be submissive, such a robotic feel - I'm not really a fan for this reason but please go if you have the opportunity I'm an investor and appreciate your contribution... I used to love this store. It was my happy place. Since the new rearrangement of everything, nothing makes sense, I feel claustrophobic going through the aisles. Carts can't even fit anymore. Everything looks messy and not organized. That is the best way I can explain it. I am so sad. I'm not sure why they rearranged all the aisles but it's awful now. read more

This is a huge Home Goods/Marshall's department store. I walked in and the shoe department was immediately to my right. There was a good assortment of different styles of shoes for women, men and children. Prices were clearly marked. It's hit or miss for sizes though. I looked at the health and beauty department and found some interesting face masks and creams. Most of the makeup is priced really well. All the clothes departments appeared to be well stocked with great styles. The dressing rooms were well lit and had big mirrors. The home good department was amazing. So many beautiful items for the home. Inside and out. There were even few food aisles with really interesting buys. I spent a lot of time going up and down these aisles. There were only six checkouts open. It took a while to check out but the cashier was super friendly. read more

This is a great place to find reasonably priced, up-to-date furniture and decor for the house. They always have a huge selection to choose from and it is a cool place just to browse around. I also love all the different food and coffee and other assorted things like cell phone accessories that you can find here. They also often have very unique pieces. Good selection, but the staff are absolutely terrible and down right disrespectful. The line is so long that runs the length of the store more than twice. I asked the two employees "at what point do you open up other lines ?" And the response was " oh it's like this all the time lol ".‍ there was 4 registers open and plenty of staff stocking shelves. Use common sense people. When customers are complaining and walking out , clearly there's a problem, and they don't care to fix it. read more

Today a staff member was on her phone walking in front area carrying a pallet. She never looked up - if I had not stopped she would have ran into me - I said wow you almost hit me She looked straight at me - rolled her eyes and said well.... I said maybe you should hang up the phone she proceeded to make rude sounds with elevated voice ! Bought nothing and left. I wish now I would have let her hit me - would have been a teaching moment ! This is a store I drive to the pavilion just to walk in and browse around. There is always something I find that I want even if I do not need it. The kitchen area has some cool items that I never see any were else. They have plenty of decorative items for the house and yard. My wife and daughter go to the clothing side and tend to find great deals there as well. read more

Awesome store! Side note: Just a forewarning, Amway (a pyramid scheme) recruits there so be aware. I was followed by two sets of recruiters in the past two weeks. They usually say they're new to the area and ask for your phone number after initiating small talk. Do your research & don't get pulled in! read more

What's not to love about Home Goods? I love it the moment I walk into the store. So many gorgeous things to look at. Be advised though, that if you see an item you like and there's only 1 of that item, put it in your shopping cart....if you don't, you may come back around to it & it could be gone. The only problem I have with the Port Orange store is that it's kinda small. I moved to the area 18 months ago from CA & am used to the larger Home Goods....not attached to a Marshall's. Still, I'm happy tot a bit of a drive to Port Orange. read more

so i love home goods, most times they don't have enough staff, today they had more than i've ever seen, which is great. i never care about how long i'm in line for i get it, times afe hard and no one wants to work BUT the lady that checked me out was SO rude. i had a bunch of glass plates bowls and cups and a welcome mat and she was rushing me to put it all down- maam i have 7 GLASS items i'm not going to just throw them down. she had such an attitude for the entirety of check out. said ok put ur card in now rudely just ugh. put me in a bad mood as well. never had a problem with home goods til today. read more

This place has some very high end stuff for really good prices. I recently bought a frying pan for half what it was selling for on Amazon. The exact same item. Cookware is very good quality. So are the towels, linens and even cat trees (lots of them) -- much much cheaper than other retailers. Very little junk here. It's not a Big Lots but seems to operate the same way. Odd lots and close outs that turn over quickly. If you like it buy it because its likely be gone in a week or so. The thing I despise is the cattle call cash registers. A single long line, customers from this store and the attached Ross, must line up (there is ALWAYS a long line) just to check out. Doesn't deter the shoppers. This place is always mobbed. I visited the Marshalls yesterday which is part of the Home Goods chain (also purchased from HG) After getting home (over 1/2 hour away) I noticed that the check-out person had forgotten to give me one of my purchases. I called immediately and the person on the phone asked me many questions, including whether I had left it in my cart. This is fair since it happens to many people. I had not though since it was a large, long drapery rod, and I had also returned my cart to the store so it wouldn't bang into other peoples cars due to the frequent storms we get here. She then proceeded to tell me that she couldn't locate my missing item at the register (after getting all my information from me off my receipt) and said she would call me back after she "reviewed all the video tape"!!! Well, maybe it's just me, but after being given the third degree and answering all those questions, I was a tad offended at being told they were reviewing the videotape - like I stole something when it was THEIR mistake! She called back in less than 2 minutes with a sweeter than candy voice and said "oh we found it - can you come back and get it now?" It will be an hour round trip for me. But it's already paid for. So yes, I will go back to get it, but I wont be using that Marshalls - not because they forgot the item, but because of how I was treated before and after the fact of their own error... read more

Like so many transplants to the Central Florida area, my wife and I discovered and embraced this store; opened a charge card and spent a bundle feathering our nest. After one of many visits, I was studying a receipt and was surprised to find a 1% "PIF" surcharge. It seems that the developer of this (The Pavilion) mall and others across the land somehow finagled the mall merchants to add this 1% ("Public Improvement Fee") charge (not a tax) that purportedly helps defray the cost (to the developer) for infrastructure such as running utilities, roads, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, etc. I imagine that before PIF's existed, these costs eventually showed up in square foot rental rates for the lessor. Now rental rates can be presented to potential merchants as LOWER and borrowing costs for construction also can SEEM more doable for both lender and developer. It's really a shell game. Some merchants wisely and rightly so fold this fee into their cost of goods and/or services, others like Marshall's/Home Goods tack it onto your bill which actually falsifies the actual advertised price! After my discovery, I convinced the store managers during subsequent purchases to adjust the final sale to in effect offset this 1%. This is absolutely a "principle issue", I get that; one percent is no big deal to most customers. But some 4th grade math applied to gross receipts in the millions from all of the Mall merchants yields a sizable sum. In addition, accounting processes surely become complicated and tax obligations get muddy. Today, the store manager refused to adjust our sale of $268.00 to offset the PIF of $2.68, chump change for both parties but because of the "principle" thing, we walked. With malls and the stores that comprise them suffering and with many on the financial brink AND our dollars good anywhere (even e-tail --- think WayFair), I think that this manager "blew the deal." Finally, let me state that the store offers tons of unique merchandise at great prices with policies and service of the first order. Anyone not bothered by a little 1% gouging will find their shopping experience here interesting and fun. We'll return when the PIF leaves. read more
