When it came to trying on an item, the staff just pointed at the dressing room and said "over there." One staff member, presumably the owner, did provide information about the polish ceramic items after I'd been pursuing for a while. Overall, this shop has a nice assortment of items and is pleasantly appointed, though could improve in customer service.

I saw this scarf on display on a mannequin and I asked if it came in different colors and they went to go look since I am not a big fan of the browns in my attire choices. Since we had cooled down significantly as we were shopping, we got hungry and asked if we could place the items on hold since we didn't want to carry our purchases until the end of our exploration and headed back to the car. I gave them my name, they placed the items on hold and we went to eat. When we came back, the store associate remembered my name and that our items were on hold. She also told me that they have a website with many items for sale from their actual sales floor that could be shipped and proceeded to tell me how the store got started. She wrapped the items with care and off we were. Prices are completely reasonable for a store of this caliber. This store could easily fit into the vibe of Stanford Shopping Center, Santana Row, downtown Carmel, etc.....but I KNOW that this place will blow any rivals strictly due to their fair pricing, storefront size and their unique items. There is only one entrance/exit, the other/second (normal) entry/exit door is closed. For this reason, common sense should say that employees that want to smoke should do so at the door that is NOT being used. In this day and time, why on earth would you smoke at/near the door where people MUST enter and exit. It's bad enough we have to walk through your smoke, but during an airborne pandemic?!?! I think not!! Safety first, you sanitize the carts and have hand sanitizer everywhere and social distancing signs and such...but you have employee blowing smoke and "droplets" directly where patrons have to enter?!?! I spoke with the manager "Lisa" who advised that the suggestion made sense and that she would speak with the employees about it.

It was barely used and was in excellent condition, but for some odd reason the cushion was sinking. I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.
