He refused to answer the phone or respond in any way. I was not disagreeable in any way (didn't even have a chance to say much). He continues to ignore my calls. Looking back on the experience, Bill was not at all professional during the install lying about the cost of the valves (identical valves were $15 a piece at Menards). There are plenty of reputable plumbers out there. Forest City Water is not one of them.

I also love that their kinetico system has optional filters that you can add if you want to change things up (for example, we add minerals to our water after it's been purified). Not necessary to do, but we've found it to be super handy to be able to adapt it to our unique needs. A couple years ago their technicians helped us move our entire system from one house to another and it was great to know a pro was in charge of tear down and setup. In our experience, if anything happens, their technicians have good availability to come quickly to fix whatever they need to. Would recommend LTM!

They have screwed my billing up, and erroneously charged my card in error, in my opinion. Sent service techs out with the wrong salt. Their records don't match what sales or service tells them. Just - in my opinion - these guys are a mess. Totally disorganized, give no sense of being pros - in my opinion. A complete amateur hour mess - in my opinion. I would not recommend them to anyone. I even called Janesville and asked if they could service me but culligan corporate sets the service boundaries. Stay away. Buy your own equipment or find someone else. Said he would return 48 hrs. later to verify the "New" unit was functioning (as programmed); Before leaving Asked about paperwork, specifically, the USER MANUAL -- said he'd bring it when he returns (2 days later) ...THIS should have been a major RED Flag (if this device were really NEW)?!?! Unit NEVER turned on, NEVER worked. Called him repeatedly. Always "...traveling; on the road right now. Can I call you back?" He NEVER calls back. 45 Days later tank is at capacity (with water), Initial salt deposit STILL on the bottom (UN-dissolved). Only recently glimpsed his BBB, Google, Yelp, and Angie's List customer reviews; Realized we'd been scammed. Not only did this "technician" flood the basement, he botched the install when he jammed the water softener's 3-PRONG POWER Cord into a 2-PRONG EXTENSION CORD. Would NOT be surprised if he did that intentionally, only to bill us for another service call (just to return and plug the unit into acceptable AC power relay for $75).
