Tips: - The garden centre is excellent. - Washrooms are on the right side of the store when you walk in. - The Ortho Ant Bgon Max spray works. After shopping at Food Basics, I spotted the garden centre at this Home Depot next door. I immediately drove over to park in front of it and walk in. There was lots of parking. There were also plenty of shopping carts. I enjoyed looking at all plants, cactuses, and more. There was soil and fertilizer galore. It's a decent garden section with plenty of selection. I had to use the washroom. It's sort of set up the same way as the Home Depot that I frequent in Markham. Washrooms are to the right of the entrance. The women's washroom was clean. I looked at fans and central air conditions units. They were effective standing in front of them to cool down. They were also reasonably priced. My dad recently bought Ortho Ant Bgon Max spray. He had ants coming into the kitchen and even the front door as if they were a part of the family. I have noticed that there haven't been any ants since he used this spray. It works! I liked coming here to look at plants. I don't need any for now, but it's nice knowing that this Home Depot has a decent garden centre. (259) read more

Home Depot is finally open! It seems that most of Pickering was also excited about this. There were a lot cars in the parking lot on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Luckily Home Depot is huge so it's a little easier to social distance than at other stores. The door greeter was really attentive and was directing people to different areas based on what they were looking for. We had a return so we were directed to line up in the middle of two aisles that had social distancing stickers that were very spaced out. She let us know that someone would call us over when they were ready for us. I've been waiting to return an item for a few months now. I had ordered something online that didn't really look how I thought it would. The lady that was helping us made it really easy for us. We just had to provide the invoice and the item. She found me in the system and was able to issue the refund back to the card that I used. She instructed me to check my email and I can confirm it came through immediately. I love the plants that Home Depot has. I don't know that much about houseplants but the ones I saw seemed pretty neat and healthy. I wanted to pick up something that might help with cleaning the air. Unfortunately their plants didn't have their actual names listed. It just said what type of plants they were - like succulent or tropical plant. That is not great for someone that doesn't have a green thumb and wants the best outlook for their plant! read more

I'm not a fan of this location. It's hard to get help from the staff so if you're in a hurry and can't find what you're looking for, you're pretty much outta luck. I have seen (and experienced) their common tactic of telling customers that what they're looking for is actually in another aisle... at the other end of the store... only to get there and be sent back by the person manning that aisle! So frustrating. read more

I had purchased a washer and dryer from Home Depot was advised would be installed and delivered with 5 to 7 days . First time they came was not advised by Home depot need a valve that was not included. delivery guys would not wait. Attended the local home depot picked it and asked if I needed anything else was advised no . Week later second delivery,I picked up the two new hoses as advised when I purchased the washer and Dryer, this is a new apt just licensed in spring. However, they said no to installing because need a brand new vent ,told them vent for dryer was 3 months old . Not good enough. was advised they sold them on their truck but would not sell me one because did not know where the vent went was just above their heads. Then they assembled the appliances stacked and using a cloth pushed them across the laminated floor with the weight of two appliances and still left out about 18 inches to hook up and did not hook up . Mackie delivery personal still had the cloth on the ground and insisted on signing papers upstairs even though it is a full apt downstairs. Sign the papers with the first guy , second guy was behind us and removed the cloth, then they left. Once the tenants arrived home with still no appliances hook up call me to show me the damages to the floor , the same day attended home depot and spoke to assistant manager emailed him and called Home Depot numerous times, and this has continue with no resolution and a lot of wasted time . Home depot had stated they did not do the delivery this was a third company. I am seriously advising you if need delivery go elsewhere and further do you want to deal with a company that does not back their customers? . While I have been waiting for this repair it has become worst with tenants walking on it to do laundry and enter the spare bedroom . No accountability from this chain , and I certainly will not be dealing with them again! read more

Honestly I rarely leave reviews for big box stores since majority of the time I deal with workers who are completely careless or incompetent of a combination of the two. Today, I felt compelled to do so after we were assisted by Lisa and Jarod at this specific location. Both associates went above and beyond the call and ensured our transaction took place in a seamless manner. We purchased over$2000 in materials and patio items and both were fantastic in providing guidance and assistance. It's nice to see someone in the service industry take their job seriously. Terrible service. Spent the better part of Saturday researching the exterior door options for our home (they had a 15% off sale) but could find no one that knew anything about the products or installation. Was booked for a consultation only to be told by that person that they did not install the type of door we had chosen, even though 3 different HD staff told us they did. Staff was very unapologetic and patronizing, told me I could not speak with the store manager (Leslie Reagan) as "she is always in meetings", general customer service line was no help either. Total waste of time, I would not shop there again, would rather drive another 5 mins down the road to the Lowe's (see my Lowe's Pickering review) Do yourself a favour and do the same, unless you are a contractor and know exactly what you are looking for and do not need any assistance or installation services. read more

By far the worst Home Depot I've been to. I suspect there are management issues here waiting 45minutes and counting for an associate to bring an item down for me. Was asked if I needed to shop for anything else while I waited. Finally told the machine to bring items down wasn't charged overnight. Avoid if possible. read more

UPDATE - Beginning of August 2012 - since this posting and the one I placed on Home Depot's corporate facebook page - they are allowing us to bring in our own contractor to fix the problem and HD will pay for it. So I will continue to shop there only if Lowe's doesn't have what I need but I will certainly not have anything installed by Home Depot. read more
