What an incredible find! Thanks to my gf Brittny Button. I needed to furnish a townhome as a temporary leasing space. Ryan, Tina, Kelly, the entire team was so helpful. We got this done in 2 days! Beautiful finds daily. Interesting art pieces, including originals. Furniture is high quality. Looking forward to visiting next. Thank you!! read more

I have been consigning for 2 years now- awesome dealing with Kelly! She is wonderful, knowledgeable and easy to communicate with and is great at researching and placing realistic values on my items. It's been a safe way to clear my house and downsize. I have referred so many people to them and everyone has been thrilled. Easy/ you drop off and they do the rest! PLUS I end up finding very unique and interesting items as well there- the entire staff is so welcoming and friendly- new manager Tina calls me by name and makes me amd my friends feel welcome. read more

My friend brought me here today to show me how wonderful this place is. I was very impressed on the variety of beautiful furniture pieces here, the paintings and more ... I saw a few things that I loved for my house and will go back after I do some measurements. The prices are very reasonable, lots of new items, some even wrapped in their original packaging. Lots of mirrors, paintings and home decor. The dining set I saw was very nice, brand new $1300 table and 6 chairs. I have a picture below, see how nice it looks. Lots of outdoor furniture as well. Overall a great place to look for home furnishings and decor before going to other stores. Customer service was friendly. read more

I used to love this store, spent thousands there. Then, we had a designer chair we had no use of - and I loved the idea that someone else would cherish it. I gave to to the Home Consignment Center this summer. They sold it in September - with no notice to us. When I called I was asked to be patient, someone would reach out. No one did. When I went (and bought further items) I was told "oh yes, the check is in the mail". No one bothered to tell us the chair was sold. They asked me to confirm the address four times. The check never came. I reached out to the CEO which responded in an unacceptable way. I will not buy there again and can not recommend selling your stuff there. read more

Wow, this place has amazing pieces from furniture to art to home furnishings.. if you earn a pretty penny! However, I did find a decently priced dresser, but did not purchase. There was some art I really loved, but for $1000, they stayed there. Maybe one day! The employees were friendly and I will be back. read more

I'm writing this review as a potential seller. Although I sent multiple pictures of small imperfections, they obviously did not review those photos, asked me to come in, and put me through the considerable time and effort of transporting and lifting a large piece of furniture for no reason. I worked with Donna, who could have easily been communicative and helpful but chose not to be. They seem to have a nice selection, though priced much higher than similar quality in other areas of LA and Ventura County. I would not recommend. read more

What a great place! My wife and I bought a dining room set with a nine foot table and 8 chairs that were brand new. The retail price was over $5,000.00 and bought it for $2,200.00 Our sales associate was Deborah and she was super helpful! Highly recommend!! read more

This used to be a pretty decent consignment center.... however, they've pretty much fired everyone who was there previously.

Snobby staff ... don't know what the problem is ... if I don't consign then they have nothing unique to sell. They will be reduced to another cheap Made in China shop. Learn to treat ppl better ! read more

This place is a hit or miss. Sadly the salespeople that we knew and were always helpful no longer work there. Even their jewelry section has sadly changed. We have purchased a lot of items from here but lately the new employees are not as warm and friendly and aren't much help. Hopefully this place would get better. They do have beautiful items from time to time and are priced fairly. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. I would never buy or attempt to sell anything to the consignment center. They sold me a bed set, which I attempted to return, only to be told that I could not due to some policy which, in my opinion, was deceptive. Then, less than a year later, I attempted to consign the bed set. They rejected it for damages. Yet, the set was in the same condition that I had bought it from them. Horrendous customer service. Arbitrary policies and procedures. Buyer beware. read more

I love this store! Over the years I have bought several items there and it was always a positive experience. The variety and quality of the inventory is amazing. The prices are very reasonable and make high end furniture affordable for everyone. I sometimes just go there to look around because it is so much fun to see what they have. read more

Melissa, the manager at the Home Consignment store is absolutely amazing! I did a minor remodel and wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go. I showed her pictures of the rooms I had recently updated, with her excellent taste and guidance, she helped me pick out all the perfect pieces of furniture as well as decor to go with everything. I couldn't be more happy with all my choices. The other wonderful thing is, you have 24 hours once you purchase, to decide if what you bought is what you're looking for. You can't go wrong going here, they have so much to choose from!! Give yourself plenty of time to shop all the beautiful items they offer. read more

This is the only store like this out here so they do have a corner on the market, but I have to say the women that work there are not very nice. They don't make it a pleasant experience...they're very snobby and short with customers when they have no reason to be! They are selling used furniture ...just be nice! The jewelry owner and her pieces are absolutely stunning. She's a sweetheart of a lady. Just know that you're going to get attitude usually but other than that...you can get some great deals if you like something ! read more

Kind of a snooting seeming shop, but from what I saw the prices seemed "fair" and the location is large with a lot of stuff in it. So there's a lot to look through and maybe you'll find something. Mostly focused on furniture but a good bit of décor too. I kind of feel like it'll be more hit and miss on the décor but if there's a specific piece of furniture you're looking for you may have more luck here. Convenient location and everything I saw looked clean and in very good condition. read more

I used to shop here a lot. Great finds. Lots of antiques. However, lately I noticed a lot of items that seem to come from close outs of different stores and priced pretty high. I wondered what happened to the truly quality items. There now seemed to be a lot of items that were The Decor Store quality. I would think a Calabasas location would bring people with a more sophisticated taste. From time to time, we will bring in things our clients need to resell. We will bring them in for them. We recently had items from an estate in Holmby Hills. None of it was acceptable to what they said was their Calabasas clientele. Ok fair enough. But the rudeness by the tall red haired woman was not ok. It is so easy to be nice. Why treat someone badly? I noticed there are lots of other people on Yelp with a similar complaint. Look without people bringing you things, you will have nothing to sell. I am sorry to say, that after all these years, we can no longer recommend this store. It's bad enough we were treated poorly, I would be horrified if I had sent in a client. read more

Amazing selection of items both vintage and modern. Beautiful paintings and posters. Not to mention the friendly and helpful staff. Cindy and Donna helped us wrap gifts and choose the best option! read more

Wow! This place has all kinds of treasures priced from 50 bucks all the way to 50,000 bucks. Jewelry is from antique to modern to 1 of a kind. You may find better prices elsewhere on some items but other items you just won't find anywhere else because it's custom. They change inventory very often so if you don't see something you like the first time you go, the next time you may find multiple items you like. There is plenty of parking outside. Customer service is great. Just be patient, they are super busy, especially with the all the precautions they must take with this COVID. Will def be back again. read more

I've brought things here and few times and am extremely happy with the service i received! Melissa is awesome she helped me both times, super knowledgeable and such a warm personality! So grateful this place exists, as I was able to sell things here, and make some extra money! They also have so many incredible and beautiful home furnishings at such reasonable price, it doesn't make sense to pay full price for things when a place like this exists! read more

BEST STORE EVER!!!! This place is absolutely incredible! My happy place actually! We have basically upgraded our entire apartment with pretty much everything from here! Always find something! My husband and I were in the market for an "L" shaped couch. We wanted to have an in-person experience and not choose something this personal on a website. After looking at a couple of local brick-and-mortar retail stores, I suggested we check out (again) the Home Consignment Center in Calabasas. Not only did we find exactly what we wanted, but we also chose a few other items (a 3 piece dining room hutch) as well. The staff was responsive and gave us our space. The purchasing was flawless and the delivery with one of their recommended agents was uneventful. We will most definitely continue to patronage this establishment. Thank you to Melissa, the store manager, who arranged after the fact, information about the lighting of the hutch! : - ) read more

This was my first time shopping here, and it will not be my last. Great prices and plenty of stock. This chest looked almost new, and the price was extremely affordable for a piece of solid, heavy furniture that would last multiple lifetimes! read more

They carry an excellent assortment of high quality pieces... from furniture to artwork you jewlery! Wonderful people to work with.

I love this store so much. You can always find the best treasures for an affordable price. I recently used their movers to get some stuff out of my storage facility. They were great. Nice trustworthy people who also made it easy and took care and pride in their job. They charged a fair price and I really liked it that they worked for HC because I knew they were accountable to someone. These days I would never feel safe hiring strangers to move for me. I recommend this store and their movers very much! HC has a great selection of framed art, old books, antiques and modern furniture. There is a lot of parking, and a place for a snack next door. You can go there any day of the week and they will have something new. It's a great place to find a special gift for someone or for yourself. Best part is that you can put it in consignment there and they will sell it when you get sick of it. Go there, it's fabulous read more

What an unexpected, outstanding experience in buying furniture! From start to finish Melissa Blackburn, Store Manager, was kind, efficient and informative in assisting my selection and purchasing of furniture! In addition, she connected me with excellent delivery services, who were able to transport my couch and chairs on the same day! Great prices, great service! Highly recommend! read more

I had an excellent experience at the Home Consignment Center! Me and my partner have recently moved and were recommended to this place to start looking for some furniture. The store was a bit busy but I browsed alone until I was greeted by Melissa. She helped get me in the right direction for what I was looking for and let me know she'd return shortly, I thanked her and understood the store was busy. She did return and helped me tremendously through the process of the sale. I had never been to a consignment center so I wasn't aware of the rules which she let me know of. Left the store with a great furniture piece, and thankful to Melissa who helped me so much! read more

Very rude when I went inside and inquired about selling or cosigning 200 prints which were offered at 75% off of current value. They did not take because they are unframed and they also only cosign, which would have been okay. I do not get why they don't have a deal with a framer for unique and valuable artwork. Most of their art framed items are very generic and not of much value. They missed out and lessons were learned! They appear not to be knowledgeable in art or interior design. Not sure how they stay open. Will sell on Chairish, Etsy, FB Marketplace etc. Also, it's crazy that L.A. doesn't have a store that buys art and furniture without cosigning first. Plenty of stores buy clothes outright but not home goods or art. read more

I used to go to this store all of the time. They always had interesting, nice furniture that was used but in great condition and at a reasonable price. Over the years I have spent thousands. The furniture is still lovely, but now there isn't a stick in the place that doesn't start at $700. The prices go up into the stratosphere from there. Today I looked at a saddle on a stand. The stand is probably worth about $60 new. I'm a horseback riding instructor. The saddle I know well. It is worth $350. They had priced this combo at almost $900. Ridiculous. Even the staff aren't people I want to deal with anymore. I was in there for 20 minutes looking for a dresserwhile they sat around talking to each other. No one even glanced my way. I can't see any reason to come back. read more

Love shopping at the Home Consignment Center. Beautiful, quality pieces at affordable prices. New items added daily. The main reason for shopping here is the customer service. Melissa Blackburn, store manager, made my day yesterday. Melissa followed up with me on an item that my husband and I were considering over 3 months ago. Melissa called me and told me the item was still in the store and was reduced significantly from the original price. She put the item on hold so that I may purchase and had her employees assist me in loading it into my car. Melissa went above and beyond. Another associate that I would like to recognize is Kelly. She helped with the purchase of a copper hood as well as assisted me with other items in the store. Very pleasant to work with. Will definitely be a loyal customer. read more

Love, love, love this place. I've been able to find unique pieces for my house. I try and visit frequently because new furniture and various house decor items are coming in consistently. It's a consignment store so you can leave your stuff with agreement or buy only. I've yet to leave any of my house stuff but sure have bought things. Prices vary but you can find designer brands as well as good deals for a fraction of their cost. Tip. If really like something don't hesitate because you might not find it when you come back. Recommended if your looking to stage your home for sale or just changing up your home decor. You can find something for every room of the house. Bedroom, dining, living room and outside furnishings. read more

WOW! This store is amazing ! What a variety of everything from name brand products, custom made, gently used, and also new. I have been to what seems like a million furniture stores approached by what seems like a million salespeople and never could find what I was in the market to purchase... until now. I was helped by Melissa, who, as it turned out, is the store manager. She was very kind, very professional, and helped me find what I was looking for. I never once felt like I was taking up too much of her time ( like I felt at the other furniture stores) I honestly have to say this store by far has the best salespeople, inventory and the greatest variety of all kinds of great stuff (not just furniture) I could spend hours here looking around at all the assortment of goods they have on the sales floor. I HIGHLY recommend Home Consignment Center in Calabasas. It's definitely worth the drive !! I'm so glad I discovered them. They have won me over as a customer for life ! read more

I love this place! The manager Melissa is extremely professional and truly knows what she's doing. She turned this place into a designer show room, and the prices are unbeatable! We went through a horrific move and needed to buy a bunch of things, and sell a bunch of things and Melissa was our right hand lady. She really has a lot going on but makes time for each client. I found this beautiful loveseat virtually brand new, and it was delivered by Marco furniture movers. He and his crew went above and beyond to get it in an office where the feet of the couch had to be removed, and the door had to be taken off its hinges. It was the end of the day, and they were so polite about having to do the extra work that I paid him extra. He was happy and therefore I was happy too. I would highly recommend them any time. read more

So upon return I realized I had to bump up the review. We started on this furniture hunt and end back where we started. everything is relative. Service: Non pushy, friendly staff that lets you shop at your own pace. Happy to answer questions and look into prices etc. Products: the items here are less antique-y more everyday/ average joe's stuff. It's not a bad thing. They have furniture that I think is current and popular. If you want better quantity than target or ikea but at those prices, you can find it here. I'd like to check out their other locations. read more

I want to say how pleased I am to do business with them . They work so hard during these crazy times to keep their staff safe and still help us sell our furniture. I just have to say that I do not agree with April and her phony 1 star review. I was in there today and her and her husband brought in a bunch of old crap that was dirty and not even of the caliber of this shop! Her husband was the one being rude & acting like a spoiled brat when it was pointed out to him that his items were needing cleaning and repairs. Honestly I thought the manager was being nice to even consider taking his things in the first place. Truly they should have got a dumpster. I have been shopping at Home Consignment Center for several years now and I can't say enough great things about this place! The variety, value and incredible customer service has kept me a loyal customer! Melissa, the manager has always been great to work with. I've appreciated the great deals and fun, working with the staff and how professional everyone is.
