It was MUCH higher than expected because I was charged for a repair that I was not informed about. 2. When I called to inquire about the additional repair, the technician was very confrontational. Rather than helping me understand why the repair was needed he instead insisted that I was lying about what happened. The repair in question was a replacement of the pilot light assembly. The problem is that my pilot light worked fine. Even Warm & Cozy agrees that I clearly stated that the pilot light worked properly before they arrived. So, if the technician would have told me that he needed to replace the pilot light, I would have been very surprised and asked a few questions before authorizing. I am fine with paying for any repairs that were needed...And I paid my bill in full. My problem is the way I was treated when I questioned the repair. No one wants to feel like they were the victim of a BAIT & SWITCH.

Travis called all over town for a replacement after regency told him to just touch up paint. Seriously??? How much did we pay for this thing!!! Lucky for us Travis found a part and made sure it wasn't damaged and installed. The 4 stars was because we had to call to follow up on scheduling since didn't get email of confirmation. Would recommend murphys but steer clear of regency products. If they aren't willing to replace damaged parts it's not worth spending the extra money. Also regency doesn't mention or show in any of their brochures the eyesore digital catalytic combustor monitor. It's attached to the side of the insert and has a purpose but they need to let consumers know that this ugly thermostat exists. We were blindsided when it was installed (no fault of murphys) and if you don't have it installed it may null and void warranty. Yes I'll post bad review for regency in as many places as I can find. I even asked him for a quote over the phone that would have only taken him 15 minutes and he refused because he said he was too busy. however, he would not be too busy to take your $175 for a quote. After this encounter, I would not trust this guy. Be careful.

Another company said they would only rebuild the entire fireplace and chimney. We never intend to use the fireplace and just needed to protect it from weather and creatures getting in. (We couldn't afford a complete rebuild in any case.) Lifetime Chimney saved us! They completed some repairing so they could install a cover/ cap, and they pressure washed the chimney. Miguel did an excellent job and was very kind. When I first called in, I spoke with Brian who was incredibly helpful! I was worried when I called in, but Brian explained what they needed to do. He patiently gave me clear information. The chimney looks great and it makes the house look great. We're relieved to have it protected now. I would hire this company again!

Since that "inspection", I've received a second opinion saying how my chimney is in excellent shape especially at the top where the "inspection" by Lifetime Chimney did not even include in the "inspection". Update: Correction to Jim, I did not receive photos on either occasion and even requested them and was told photos are only included with a Level 2 inspection (an additional $300)
