In every single stage of this process, they went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure we were getting the right dog for our daughter... they even gave up a dog they were hoping to keep for the future to make sure it was the right fit. They work with an amazing trainer, their kids love and play with the puppies each day, and you can tell they are all doing this for the love of bringing happiness to families who receive their dog. Plus, after a visit to their home, you can tell their dogs are living life a 5-star lfe... they are so happy, healthy and well behaved. Then said she does not irrigate or flush in the field and proceed to do a coding scrub for a few minutes that cost a additional 60 bucks then suggesting going to a vet that had a clinic who who could do proper testing and flushing. I appreciate the input to go somewhere else but feel that if the vet does not treat in the field that should be conveyed up front so the clie t doesn't waste money ect. Our dog was fully recovered immediately after the surgery and hasn't looked back. We had booked a private tour for his birthday to meet the rescue animals who call this beautiful place home. Yasmin met us at the entrance and, after swapping shoes for some solid boots, gave us a very honest, very real, and very important rundown of industrial agriculture. Now, I have to add, neither of us are vegan or even vegetarian, but Yasmin proved to be an actively non judgmental, compassionate host. She walked us through the grounds, addressing each animal by name, and was full of knowledge and insight! After the initial meet and greet, we were off! We hiked across the beautiful grounds and met tons of sheep (Jet loved my partner!) goats, and pigs; all of the animals roam freely, coming and going as they please. It was actually delightful how so many of the animals came up to say hi and hang out out of their own volition! We brought some grapes for the chickens and they LOVED them! But oh my god, the turkeys. Wow, just, two little friendly, fluffy orbs that floated around our party showing off while Yasmin gave us an informed and empathetic story about them. She did that at every habitat; letting us in, introducing us (by name!) to the boldest of the bunch, and explaining how they ended up at Animal Place. It was an entirely wonderful, enlightening experience. Also, fyi, turkeys are so soft. I cannot recommend this organization enough. 10/10, please give Conrad an extra treat for me!

Dennis was open, and agreed with us when we stated our desire to work with our dog individually. He wants to train YOU the owner, so you can have tools to build a strong bond with your dog. He is clearly experienced, tailoring our obedience lessons to the characteristics of our pup and offering insights into WHY our dog is behaving a certain way. This allows us to continue our training after we finished with Dennis, and problem solve on our own with great results. Dennis is extremely passionate, fair and supportive to you and your pup. He was always available for questions outside of our training sessions and took care to walk us through everything even if we were slow to get the hang of different skills. He focuses on positive reinforcement, but is also realistic when you need to provide a correction to undesirable behaviors. This balanced training approach has our cane corso puppy thriving, and provides us with peace of mind that we can keep him safe through verbal commands.
