This staff is so amazing. I take my English mastiff puppy and my golden retriever here and was very honest about being taken advantage of by VCA pet hospitals in the past. Instead of taking offense or feeling like I was attacking their profession as a whole, the vet here explain to me why she was administering each thing to each of my pups (one had a hot spot and ear infection, the other was coming for their second parvo shot). They are super sweet and helpful, and I just went in for my pups 3rd parvo shot and rabies shot, they had me in and out in literally 7 minutes or so. Highly recommend

This place is fantastic! They don't price gouge you and are always accommodating to our every need for our little pets. They don't make us come in for unnecessary visits, always see us timely, and are friendly and personable each visit. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to take great care of their pet, but would also like to retire one day!

Great place. The Vet is very nice and patient with the animals there. The prices are compatible with other Veterinarians maybe even lower. Will always bring my dog there

Dr. Wendy and assistant checking blood panel

Our little guy is getting older so when we found a large lump on the side of his neck and above his collar we were very concerned. Due to the holidays we couldn't get him into his regular vet for a least two weeks so we called Auburn Pet Clinic as we had gone there previously with another dog years before. Dr. Rice was no longer practicing but Doctor Wendy was there and we were able to get an appointment within two days. After a thorough examination and blood work he was put on antibiotics and steroids and then checked again three days later. We felt he was doing much better but Doctor Wendy wanted us to keep him on the antibiotics and steroids until they were gone. Hopefully he is on his way to a full recovery.

Doctor was great discussed how she healed from her getting neutered 2 months ago. Said she did good, and requested medication for her to travel which he prescribed. Doctor left and she took my dog in back and I waited for 30 min. Asking reception where is my dog she only getting two shots. Jenna finally came in and said it takes 10 min for a heart worm test. I told her I didn't request a test! She informed me she needed one to get the shot. I told her that's not what the doctor said. She had all her lab work done previously when she got neutered. She said that was 2025 last year. I said could you please go back and read her chart you got the wrong dog! She was here two months ago. To make it short we were there for hour and 15 min. I refused to pay for the test that I did not request she wouldn't give her the heart worm shot. Secondly manager asked why I requested for Jenna not to be seen in the future with my dog. Told her the story and she said it's just a miscommunication and told the receptionist to make sure they charge me for a physical exam. Which they added the heart worm exam with it. That cost $82 for the exam n I usually pay only $45 totally ripped off and manager didn't help at all!!

I hope and pray that for the rest of my life, I never have to choose any other way for my animals. There were no slippery metal exam tables, no motion-sick car rides filled with trembling terror, no buzz of harsh fluorescent lights, and no chaotic waiting rooms thick with antiseptic and distress. Just a few years before, we'd had a traumatic experience which left a lot of regret and lingering ache when we lost our Golden Retriever, Dennis (da-best dog), a few years ago. With Stilly, everything was peaceful and beautiful. He remained in his kingdom. He rested on his beloved floor pouf--the throne he stubbornly claimed over every plush bed we ever bought him--bathed in familiar scents and a square of afternoon sun requested just for him. There was only reverence, quiet air, and the hands of the people who adored him. He drifted away knowing absolute safety, deep warmth, and devotion. Walking a soul to the veil in the very sanctuary he filled with love for fifteen years is a profound privilege, but it was Dr. Kelly's gentle presence that carried us across that threshold. Before anything began, she asked the question that cut straight through the guilt and doubt: If there were a magic pill that could make him better, would you give it to him? The instant answer was yes. And when the follow-up came--and would it make him truly well again?--the truth anchored us. In that single, compassionate moment, she lifted the burden of the decision from our shoulders and framed it as what it truly was: a final act of mercy. Every detail that followed was grounded in extraordinary tenderness--the quiet reverence with which she pressed his paw print into soft white clay, the gift of a gentle Mr. Rogers book on grief left for our hearts, and above all, her boundless, unhurried patience while we poured our final whispered goodbyes into his fur. She didn't simply provide veterinary care; she held the space so steady that grief had room to breathe. I don't know how Dr. Kelly carries the weight of what she does, but she gave our boy the most peaceful exit imaginable, and for that, our family will be endlessly grateful.

I scheduled a hospice consult for my sweet 13 year old lab and received a quick response with a call from Jennifer. Even though I never met Jennifer, I felt like she was holding my hand during the whole process. When it was time for our hospice consult, Dr. Chandler came to our house and assessed our boy along with going over quality of life. She even gave him a treatment before she left to see if it would help his mobility. After the consult, I received a very thorough email from Dr. Chandler giving me a breakdown of my dog's prognosis along with some treatment options. She reached out to other mobile vets on my behalf and provided helpful links for every option of care that she gave me. Jennifer also followed up to check on Oakley to see how he was doing. When it was time to make the decision for me to let him go, I texted Dr. Chandler (after hours on her day off). She still responded. She came out a couple days later to our home and we were able to give him a peaceful goodbye on our lawn, which was his favorite place. Dr. Chandler treated Oakley with such care and dignity from start to finish. Jennifer also called me again to check on my wellbeing a week after we said goodbye. Dr. Chandler reached out to me on a Saturday to let me know she had Oakley. He was ready to return home. She worked with us on getting him back and even went as far as matching the tissue paper to the color of his fur for the packaging. She also included a beautiful dog card along with his name which was handwritten. It lays against the paw print and clipping of his hair she gave us. I hope I provided enough details as to why Love Always is not only the best, but the only option I would ever use when having someone take care of my beloved companions.

I took my sweet Golden of 11 years when her health started to decline. Right off the bat they were extremely friendly and I know my girl was taken good care of because when I came back to pick her up after her first appt, she didn't want to leave! She loved the staff. This vet clinic is a 2 hour drive from me, and it was well worth each and every mile. They kept in touch with me, and helped me to get a referral to UC Davis Vet Oncology so that my Golden could get seen much faster than weeks out. They gave me detailed instructions on all the various medications I was prescribed for my pupper & kept me well updated on all results from labs & whatnot. I unfortunately lost my baby girl to cancer, but they sent me a very sweet sympathy card with all the staff's signatures as well as a Christmas card. This was not done with conversations about facts, but with statements lacking nuance and assuming that all people who are not vets are idiots. This veterinarian may not be for you if you believe in species appropriate diets, spacing out vaccines, using titer testing, or any attempt to engage in dialogue that goes against their beliefs. I was treated like I might lick my uncleaned counter after prepping raw meats or like I might lick my fingers after picking up dog poo in my yard. On the positives, they do have good weekend availability, fairly reasonable pricing and if you are 100% on board with Western Vet medicine without need for intuition or nutritional approaches, then you will like most of them. There are some truly great people at this vet clinic & not every experience has been negative. My review is based on their unwillingness to have the pet owner be a part of the process and to not being open to dialogue about different approaches to nutrition & care options.

You first need to call and leave them a message with the information they ask on their voice mail. Then, they call you back to get you on the schedule. You need to put down the payment over the phone to secure your spot for the spay or neuter. I was called back about 48 hours later, and on the schedule in less than a week. When the day arrived, you need to arrive at 7:30am and call the number on the banner at the front entrance to let them know your there. Then, you go up to the window when they call you back, to check in. They have the option to micro chip your furry friend, so if course, I wanted Sophie chipped. That I paid for when she was ready for pick up. They tell you they'll call you when your loving pet is finished. Sophie was done later that morning and would be ready for pick up at 1:30pm. Everyone here seemed so gentle and loving with Sophie. They are amazing for what they do. I am so thankful they were able to help me take good care of Sophie!
