I am still upset about the condition my dog was in when I picked her up after only 4 1/2 days. This place was definitely not a good fit for us or for anyone that loves their pet as their own baby. Gold Hill Canine sees this type of love as "unhealthy" and will try to break your dog down to "rebuild" them again. Unexceptionable!! Here are some photos. You be the judge of the conditions YOUR pet is kept in before making a decision to use this facility.

"6 months bite free! Thanks to Ashley and Liz" - Milo

Never thought this was possible!!! A huge thank you to Ashley and Liz! For those of you who are on the fence about doing this training, do it! You owe it to yourself and to your dog. Their training really does focus on providing a calm environment for your dog, home, reshaping your dogs mind and your's as well. We have a little 16 pound chihuahua and felt silly asking Ashley for help. He didn't pass any judgement on us and reassured us that he could not only train our dog but help us be better dog owners as well. Our little Milo had several different problems. From being yappy, aggressive towards people and dogs on leash, pulling on a leash, lunging at dogs, people, lacking confidence, scared of the world, and dealing with it by biting people(4 bites, 3 family members and 1 friend). Also we were dog owners who couldn't see the fault and role we played in creating an insecure dog. Also he could never be around bigger dogs without barking or trying to bite them. We heard it all, from "That's just little dog behavior" or "How funny, he's a tough guy". The reality is if he was a 100 pound Rottweiler or 90 pound pitbull people would have a total different feeling of Milo. As Ashley simply put it, this isn't acceptable for any dog, and that we needed to see it for what it is. Because Milo wasn't in a good head space. After three weeks of training, Milo was still himself, but you could see his confidence, and calm demeanor. He no longer was insecure, unsure or aggressive. With that being said we also had to take a look and change ourselves. Not everyone has to pet your dog, and you can control your dogs environment. To this day Milo can now be around other dogs, people, children, and is a pleasure to walk. But it's gonna take work, but damn sure worth it. My last words would be if you are on the fence, take the leap and I assure you, you will not regret it! - Eddie

Our six month old female GSD puppy is benefiting from what Ashley and Liz taught us with our 4-year-old GSD.

If you've tried other trainers, if you've YouTube-ed yourself to exhaustion looking for that correct-all secret some e-trainer will give away for some low, low price, heck, even if you're just starting out looking for someone to bring balance back into your home, look no further. Seriously, just give Ashley and Liz a call. That's all it took for me -- the initial phone call. I submitted an inquiry through their website, and within 36 hours I was on the phone with Ashley describing all the worst qualities about my German Shepherd Dog. What sealed the deal was the #everywheredog philosophy. All I wanted was a dog I could take with us anywhere he was allowed and have him NOT go berserk at all his triggers. What made me sign the check was the life-long commitment to me and my dog to maintain this balance through the Everywhere Dog Walks. You want to talk VALUE?!? Real-life, hands-on immediate feed-back every month from Ashley and Liz. All YOU have to do is show up, and keep showing up. So, through a 3 week board and train, Ashley and Liz secured boundaries that my dog understands fully. Through several training sessions with us, they taught us how to enforce boundaries consistently. And, for the rest of his life we have Ashley and Liz to help us maintain a balanced dog. If you walked in my house right now, you'd be met with a GSD who sees you from across the room, sees me greet you, and then goes back to relaxing in a down position. He wouldn't approach you. He wouldn't bark menacingly at you. All the things that kept us isolated from the world are gone. They'll stay gone because Ashley and Liz gave us the skills we needed, and they continue to support us in our continued efforts to raise an #everywheredog Now, we have the benefit of using this philosophy on all 3 of our dogs. Not just the one we sent to Ashley and Liz. We are a changed family. I will always remember that initial phone call and how I pleaded with Ashley to please just help bring PEACE to my 3 dog, 3 kid, 2 adult household. He did, with Liz's help, of course!! Thank you, thank you!! See you soon!!

We rescued Brandy, a Shepard mix, from a shelter in July 2023. They could tell us nothing about her…read moreexcept she had been returned to the shelter at least once before. We took her home and thought she was the perfect dog...until we took her for a walk. She had horrible leash reactivity. We hired a trainer in September 2023, to fix Brandy's leash reactivity, after all our attempts at training her ourselves failed. The trainer came to our house once a week for an hour and instructed us how to train Brandy to walk, sit, stay, come, and place which he said were the necessary fundamentals. For the last visit he met us at a dog park but was unable to successfully teach us how to fix the leash reactivity. In October 2023 we brought our dog to Emily at Canine Balance Dog Training in Colfax, CA for just over 3 weeks for Behavioral Management training. When we got Brandy back in November 2023 the leash reactivity was gone! Plus she walks much better and her behavior in general has improved. She is now a very happy dog and we are very happy we didn't need to try to re-home her. I wish I could upload videos but I think the before and after pictures I've included speak for themselves. The before picture shows her mid jump as she barks at a passing dog while the after picture shows her wagging her tail as we pass another dog. I highly suggest you try Emily before you spend any money elsewhere...she is definitely worth it!

They gave plenty of updates of his progress including photos and videos and taught him so much. He uses his place cot seamlessly, is great on leash and is a much better listener with recall and such. He is still a puppy and we will need to keep up the training, but we are so grateful to have such a solid foundation to work from. Highly recommend.

As someone who travels frequently, finding a boarding facility that I can trust implicitly is a top priority. The team at Canine Purpose clearly understands dogs and treats Titan like one of their own. Every time I drop him off, I feel confident that he's in a safe, engaging, and professional environment. Titan always comes back happy and healthy, which is the best testament to the quality of care they provide. If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality boarding service for your pup, I highly recommend giving them a call. (Add on some grooming or training to the boarding - great having a clean fluffy Great Pyrenees at pick-up)

We met with Weston for her assessment and during that 30 minutes we gained several valuable insights and were able to start working on a couple things. Since then, we had him out to the house for training and with his help our doggo is no longer running out the door. She is even staying in the garage with the door open. We are still working on certain distractions but it's so much better. The instructions were clear and simple. We also did a day of doggie daycare which she seemed to really enjoy and we got some cute pictures. Would definitely recommend.

I found Nick (ConsistentK9) online. He had a lot of experience and great reviews so I thought, let's do this! I signed up for the 10 week program. Wow am I glad I did! Nick is a natural with dogs and makes it all look so easy, and with Mika being a high energy, smart, pushy pup, I thought Nick had his work cut out for him. Not for Nick. She loved him and responded well to him. Just as important, Nick is also great with people and communicates very well, helping you learn and understand what you're doing (or not doing) without rubbing you the wrong way. He's great to work with and a real pleasure to learn from. The techniques and methods I learned from Nick are priceless! My program was not only about training Mika, but also me. The skills Nick taught me I will continue to use as I work with Mika over the next few months and years. I highly recommend Nick and Consistent K9!!

Going to Nick for training was one of the best decisions we've made so far with her. From day one he was focused on getting to know Roxy's personality, and helped us understand the most important job we had with our dog in specific was working on her confidence - not something we expected to learn going into puppy training, but it has made all the difference with her! Even more so than training her, Nick was training us on how to interact with our dog to give her her happiest and most confident (and of course obedient) self; he really helped give us the tools we needed to be set up for success and showed us how to work with her, and was up front about the fact that we needed to work on how we act more than anything else to see results with our pup. Roxy still has a long way to go but she has come SO far with Nick's help, and we fully intend on doing more training with him in the future to continue learning how best to work with our high energy, playful, lovely dog who has a short attention span, but loves to work and learn new things! We couldn't recommend Nick enough, he truly cares about each dog he works with and is an awesome person on top of all of that, which makes working with him super easy.
