I called around 8 different testing businesses in the LA area to get quotes for the lead and asbestos testing I need for demolition. They gave the lowest price. I was not disappointed in the service. They were available to come out within a day or two of contacting them. The two inspectors that came out were nice and professional. The testing came back quickly after they took the samples. read more

I am reflooring my house and when pulling up the old floor my contractor noticed black mastic adhesive which needed to be tested. So although I do have small amounts of asbestos and that is bad news, the good news is that Home Biotesting is the place to go to have your testing done. They are friendly and knowledgeable and they got my results back to me in 2 days. The test results are very comprehensive and the information they provided helped me to make my next move. Melanie helped me to find an abatement company and answered all of my questions perfectly. She really was awesome help. Manny the tester was equally friendly and very knowledgable and answered all my questions. This is the first time that I have experienced this so it really helps when smart kind helpful people help to guide me. If you need testing look no further...period. FIVE STARS!! read more

I called on 9/14 for an asbestos test. Melanie was very prompt during the call and did a great job explaining the procedure and cost. She then helped me to schedule the inspection on the same day. Kent was the technician that conducted the actual test. He was on time, professional, and polite. He did a very quick and efficient job during the testing, and also answered my questions on the dangers of asbestos. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The report was very thorough and detailed with photos and analysis. read more

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS They don't call you back, they don't respond to emails, and they hang up on you. It took 4 days to get a report promised the same day. Unprofessional doesn't begin to explain them. read more

Needed asbestos testing for a detached garage demo. They quoted me the lowest price of the four companies I contacted with the fastest turnaround time. The bill came in less than quoted since they did not need as many samples. Test results were back in three days. Kent, the tech they sent out was a few minutes early and completed his sample gathering quickly. Great experience I will use them again when getting the permit for remodeling my 100 year old house. read more

We needed an asbestos report done on our house ASAP. I called Home Biotesting, and Eileen was able to set up an appointment for 10 a.m. the next morning. (Also, their price was much lower than other companies.) The technician showed up promptly at 10 a.m. and performed a complete inspection of our attic. He also tested the air in the house with the air conditioning blasting for an hour. Luckily, the report came back negative. Very professional company - highly recommend. read more

Their work was fast and clean and communication is great. We had a flood in the house and I appreciated how fast they got everything done

Did his job correct and such a nice person ,& very easy to understand any question I had.

Lead testing was not offered and when I asked about why they didn't do lead testing they said it was declined. I didn't decline anything. They said they would need another $449 to come back out to do the lead testing. These are fraudulent practices. Avoid this company. read more

I'm so glad we went with Home Biotesting! We recently had remodeling work done and found out they cut into the popcorn ceiling. This was concerning since it was an older home and could've contained asbestos. We spoke with Mandy and she provided amazing customer service and answered all the questions I had. They looked out for our best interest and made sure we didn't spend extra money on additional tests that we might not need. She even had a consultant sent out to our new home the next day! The consultant (Melissa) was very thorough and explained the entire process with air testing and collecting samples. A very detailed report was sent to us the next morning. read more

We had a great experience with Melanie and Kent at Home Biotesting -- we knew there were asbestos-insulated pipes in our old basement, and Melanie walked us through the process of testing, writing a P5 report (for damage and abatement), and final visual clearance. We were able to set up all testing appointments quickly and when the P5 report needed some edits, HBT did them quickly. Though I hope to never have to worry about asbestos again, I'd work with them in a heartbeat! read more

We've had Home Biotesting perform a variety of asbestos testing services: Initial report, P5 remediation plan, air test before asbestos remediation, air test after remediation and final clearance - plus additional lab testing of acoustic popcorn ceiling materials. For every service, they've been extremely responsive and have gone the extra mile when we were under a couple of time crunches. Their pricing is competitive and transparent. But, what I was most thankful for is how nice everyone was. Melanie and Mandy in the office were so helpful - Melanie, more than once, gave me good news over the phone before the official reports were ready because she knew how worried I was. Kent and Richard were not only courteous during our inspections, but also very patient in explaining what they were seeing and what we could expect. Just the word "asbestos" is enough to raise one's blood pressure...it makes such a difference when you're going through a stressful situation to work with people who go out of their way to help you - and that's what every person we've come in contact with at Home Biotesting has done. Thank you to the whole team - no offense, but I hope to never have to contact you again, but I would highly recommend your services to anyone. read more

I bought a house and began remodeling. In the process we found popcorn ceiling that was hidden. With the house being built in the 60s we had concerns that there might be harmful chemicals and with a toddler in the house, this was a huge no go. I had attempted to call OTHER companies and none would return my call. Home Biotesting answered the call, and the same day went out and tested. Without even paying they believed everything was clear. Within 3 days I had a report in hand! (good news, all clear) Home Biotesting made everything so much easy for us. Thank you! read more

Oren is absolutely honest and extremely helpful, answering all my questions and putting my mind at ease. He came to inspect my condo and told me exactly what needed to be tested and what did not. Oren from Home BioTesting is SO "wonderful"! He was SO generous with his time over the phone when I called, reassuring, but NOT thorough. Oren was extremely un-professional. He has quoted me over the phone the price for the Lab work at $30, but when he send to me the very un-professional looking invoice, (generated via QuickBooks - quickbooks-email@intuit.com) the story became 28 times more for the Lab work. In reality the Lab work costs between $7 and $8 per sample, and, yes, sometime there are multiple tests performed on the sample, depending on the number of layers in it. The worst part, is that according to Oren, there was only 1 (one) asbestos positive sample but when the survey was conducted through the different company, the Lab showed 3 (three) asbestos positive samples. Thankfully, we got all handled properly with another professional survey company! I highly discourage anyone to use Oren's Home BioTesting for any Asbestos Survey work, based on my experience with this company. read more

These guys are great! My dad wanted to remodel our family house, but it was pretty old. The demolition contractors told us that we need an asbestos survey before they can start. They recommended Home Biotesting. We figured we needed multiple quotes but these guys were easily the best. It seemed like half the companies were lost when I said I needed this for a permit. We called and said that we wanted an asbestos inspection for a demolition permit. We got a hold of Oren and he walked me through the whole process over the phone. Very friendly and sweet. He was able to schedule a time the very next day and got us the report a few days later. It was perfect because we needed that report for permit processing (obviously sooner the better) and Oren did the whole thing in a few days! So thankful for finding this company with such a friendly staff. read more

When considering a new home with popcorn ceilings, and water stains I looked to hire a company that tested for asbestos and mold. Home Biotesting came to my rescue. A detailed report came back quickly and the process details were monitored and reported back to me by the very effective Melanie. Home Biotesting did a professional, accurate, and exemplary job. What a great company. I searched for an asbestos testing company in Tarzana and found Oren. My dad needed to get his home inspected because of the popcorn ceiling in his home. All the mesothelioma commercials were getting to him. Oren was helpful throughout the entire asbestos inspection. Not only was he quick but he was really informative. He answered all the questions me and my dad had for him and was chill about it. We got the results back two days later. My favorite part about this company is that he was helpful even after the job was done. If There was a reason why this company deserves a 5 star review then it would have to be that extra mile of effort home bio testing gave us. I also feel more informed about mesothelioma. After all those mesothelioma commercials airing during the football games I feel better having a better understanding of what it is. Random I know but it is the little things that count. read more
