A go to place for a good morning brunch meal. The staff is superb and friendly. Our waitress was ok her first day and we still got amazing service. The options are a bit limited, but all of the menu items are a good choice. The sweet stack had the most perfect fruits on top that made it both light and sweet to the taste. I loved it. This was our first breakfast of choice in Paris! An adorable, hip restaurant in the République neighborhood, with an expansive menu, we were immediately sat when we came in around 9AM (which is early for breakfast in the city). Hasbrowns are delicious--crispy on the outside, soft in the center with some sort of seed mixed in?? I'm not sure, but it was delicious. The pancakes were incredibly soft and fluffy yet thin and chewy. Just so so good! I personally liked the savory stack more than the sweet stack because I like my sweet and savory combo, but you really can't go wrong with either sweet or savory stack. We also got 2 poached eggs with tomato, mozzarella and seasonal salad. The salad was a good to balance out the carby pancakes. I would come here again if I stayed closer to this place! French people with time in Australia open a KILLAH breakfast brunch lunch place, with King Floyd's "Groove Me" and Petty in their morning mixtape? No wonder the Sunday line was 30 people before they've opened. The food lived up to the digs. Build your own egg breakfasts with house cured bacon, wicked pancakes, and a bad ass chia seed and fruit pudding. Their hash brown patties have what look to be toasted spelt, which gives them a unique and big flavor lift. The service was so anti-Paris that it was world class good. Other restaurants should drop by here and see what love and a little smile do for your business. Patrons here are guests, not marks. I was really looking forward to eat in this place after reading a lot of great reviews. Maybe my expectations were super high that I got disappointed. Overall the food here is good but nothing special. I have to say the long black was great though. I have ordered poached eggs with hash brown and beans. The beans were very tasty and recommend it as one choice of your side. The hash brown was ok. It was soft all over even though the description in the menu stated it will be crunchy on the outside. My wife went with scrambled eggs with mushrooms and salad on the side. I tried her sides and both were ok. Finally we shared the sweet pancakes. Maybe I'm used to very sweet pancakes that are covered with either maple or some type of chocolate. The pancakes contained fruit and had some maple in it that wasn't enough to satisfy my sweet tooth (I'm a bit unusual with sweet stuff so it might not be your experience) Overall good service and nice decor but the food overall was ok nothing special. read more

The food and the service at Hollybelly are great! We got in line at around 9:30 and it was about a 20-minute wait which went by fast. The waitress would also come outside often and update us on the wait times which was nice. Service inside was quick and easy and the food came out fast. My wife was mentioning this place during our stay so I was interested already. We went on a Tuesday Afternoon... bad idea. Line was almost down the block. So that was a reschedule for us. We smartened up and woke up at 9:30am and luckily we were staying down the block. Slight line but less than 2 minutes of wait time. Decor is beautiful, workers are nice and cool and the service is efficient. My wife and I went for pancakes with eggs and bacon(called the 'savoury stack'). It was very tasty and I did not have to drown them in syrup. Eggs were fluffy and the bacon was the perfect cut; not too crispy nor too flabby. We also got an oat chai latte. It was the perfect amount of warmth and gave me a nice wake up call. I also ordered apple juice and it was so fresh! I love apple juice, and I love this apple juice! I also love this restaurant and intend to return again for some good breakfast. But really, go as early as possible (9AM).When we left at 10-10:15AM that line was very long. This place is the holy grail of breakfast cafes!!! There's usually a queue to get seated, which is understandable... but it is well worth the wait! The savory stack is SO good! The perfect combo of sweet and savory. OMG and the "eggs and sides"! Their soft scramble is what egg dreams are made of! Just absolutely perfect and creamy. Despite the fact that there were so many other customers there, we always were given the right amount of attention. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food blew our absolute freaking minds. Obsessed is not even enough to describe how we felt about this restaurant. My family agreed this was the best food, atmosphere and service we had during our entire trip. Servers all speak English, there's an English menu, the food is affordable and just plain delicious. We did have to wait in a line that was out the door when we arrived but it was well worth it. Breakfast was still being served at 3 in the afternoon when we arrived so we had the pancakes, bacon, eggs, bellinis, coffee and hot chocolate. This place doesn't take reservations, so just get here a bit early and get on the hostess' horizon while your other friends trickle in. 10am on a Saturday is like 6am on a Monday to a Parisian so if you are asking French friends to join you you'll have more luck getting them there on time if you say 11-ish? If you've never been, opt for the savory which features two pancakes, bacon, and two eggs. If you're feeling adventurous, check out their seasonal menu. The food was clean and unique to Paris with the cheese. We all enjoyed our orders and there were a good amount of options to get something simple like a baguette and cheese, scrambled eggs, or pancakes and french toast. Lots of options! We had great service. We had a tour to meet up with and had exactly an hour. The server helped us right away and was really understanding.
