My son and I recently ate at Avo, and overall it was such a delicious experience. The vibe sits…read moresomewhere in that perfect middle, nice and elevated, but still relaxed and not overly upscale. The kale salad was good, different than what I expected, but still enjoyable. I'd give it about a 7/10. The cauliflower wings were solid and pretty much what you'd expect, around a 7.5/10. Now the standouts... the blueberry cheesecake was a 10/10....so good, rich, and flavorful. The potatoes with queso at the bottom were also amazing, definitely a 9/10. I ordered an iced matcha latte, which I really enjoyed it's slightly on the sweeter side, but still a 9/10 for me. My son got the animal-style burger and absolutely loved it, he gave it a 10/10. On top of the food, the staff was really kind and the customer service was great. I even had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly sweet. Overall, I definitely recommend this spot if you're in Nashville. I'll be coming back every time I'm in the city.

Regardless if you have been a long-time vegan like me, are plant-based curious, or a carnivore…read more.. AVO is a fantastic option for brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner or special occasions. I love to have business lunches here because of the beautiful space, efficient service, easy parking, and of course for the TASTY food and drink. The Lentil Walnut and Cali Burger are legendary, so much so that the damn New York Times featured The Cali, a few years back. As a vegan of 15 years, I can attest that NYC has plenty of options and some of the most innovative offerings, but when an independently owned spot in the South can capture an audience from all over the world, that means something. There is a cult-following for the Kimchi Spring Rolls, Cauliflower Wings, and my beloved Kale Caesar Salad but DO NOT SLEEP on the rotating seasonal menu either. The Dan Dan Noodles, Shroom Meatloaf, Cacio E Pepe, and Loco Mac are... Chef's Kiss! The cocktail menu never disappoints with fun and interesting sips and if you don't imbibe, the mocktails make you forget that they aren't spiked. Delish. The energy and vibes are always on-point here as well. From family-friendly offerings to hosting and supporting inclusive community events, AVO is the spot to unwind and/or for your celebrations. Service is efficient and full of smiles. I can't say it enough, AVO is a wonderful place and the definition of hospitality.

Loved our meal at this iconic New York-style deli. The staff was friendly, and the matzo ball soup…read morewas the tastiest, according to my husband. He said he hasn't had soup that good since living in New York, which is a big compliment coming from him. My turkey sandwich was good--maybe not the best I've ever had--and I wasn't sure it was roasted turkey, but it definitely hit the spot. The coleslaw was freshly made, and Jennifer, who served us, was a beam of sunlight as she told us about the fresh Reubens, which seemed to be everyone's favorite. We'll be back to try that next time. Plenty of parking, easy to find, and a great spot for families and casual dining. We'll definitely visit again soon.

No muenster cheese, though. Everything I ordered was pretty good, nothing spectacular. The coffee was fine for a diner. The cole slaw was proper Jewish deli cole slaw, though not inspired. The bagel was in no way memorable, but perfectly edible. The rye bread was low-level stuff. The prices are like Jewish delis in the 1980s. My daughter's potato cakes were good. It's hardly a sterling review, but if I lived in Nashville, I would eat here.

Delicious and authentic Persian food! There is a kebab or mix plate here for everyone - carnivores,…read morepescatarians and vegetarians alike! The restaurant is well established and doesn't rely on frills and gimmicks to attract their clientele. Lots of brown and neutrals dominate the aesthetic - cultural decor and an occasional tv can be spotted along the walls. All the kebabs are well seasoned and full of flavor. The meat is both crispy and juicy. The complimentary pita is served warm and is pillowy soft. Some of my favorite hidden gems on this menu are on the appetizer list. Don't skip over the chefs appetizer with creamy cheese, olives, herbs and ground walnuts! I also love the light but flavorful white bean soup with tomato broth and generous chunks of chicken.

They maintain an impressively enormous menu with just about every style of kabob on the planet! They also serve lamb shanks, gyros, and falafel among other options. The lamb is extraordinarily tender and pretty tasty, although the flavor isn't nearly as good as the best I've eaten in the Middle East. But I have unfairly high standards as a world traveler. The beef dishes are very good too, but again, not the best I've had. The service is fantastic with welcoming employees who make you feel right at home. House of Kabob is a worthy stop if you love Persian cuisine.
