I recently visited Hollywood Nails for a second time for a manicure and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience similar to my last visit. Throughout the appointment, the nail tech made repeated, unsolicited negative comments about the length of my nails I'm growing out, my cuticles being dry, I should come more often, and it was uncomfortable. Furthermore, despite I scheduled an appointment and arrived on time she stated on my way out to come earlier in the day if I can next time. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect rather than subjected to nonstop rude remarks. I will not be returning and would not recommend this salon. read more

A lot of gel and dipping powder colors for you to pick .Great service. Good price.Clean, Friendly

I came to this nail place because one of my nails broke I live in chicago, they were so so rude, the lady was just yanking my hands and I'm telling her what shape I wanted and she's like oh it's supposed to be square and I told her no I want it rounded so she was very rude and didn't talk to me through the whole time I was there she didn't even want to make eye contact, if you don't like working with the public you shouldn't be there, she was like banging stuff on the counter, then she asked me if I had picked out the color they didn't even give me a chance to pick out the color I had to hold myself back from telling off, do not come to this place they are terrible. And I did not leave her a tip that's what she gets read more

I have been going to Hollywood nails for over six months now and they are without a doubt one of the best salons i've been to. They take their time and make sure not only are your nails done properly, but they look very good as well. Many other places rush through and often leave you with mishapen nails/nails that don't match. I've never had that issue hear and i've been getting acrylics for almost 10 years. I drive 30 mins to get here and they are well worth it. A no chip fill varies from 35$-50$ depending if you have missing/broken nails. Highly reccomend this place, also best to make an appointment. read more

I've been a loyal customer for a few years now, but after my recent experience, I'm incredibly disappointed. The nail tech who's usually very skilled has become rude and disrespectful when an error is made, or her work is questioned. Instead of fixing the issue and putting the customer first, she made me feel as if I was the problem which was frustrating and extremely unprofessional. To make matters worse, when I tried to use my coupon card, which is offered by the salon, the owner refused to honor it. After this experience, I will not be returning to the salon or recommending this business. read more

I would give them a zero if I could. I was unhappy with my results and instead of offering to fix them the owner said "it's to late." Will never return. I do not recommend. read more

Hollywood Nails - So ugly! Uneven and thick - Nail Salons Near Me - Peru, Illinois

had a French manicure done and there are gaps between real nails and the tips, they are extremely thick, plus the nails tip up. They look horrible and then wanted to charge me more to fix. then blamed me for not going into detail with the technician on what I wanted. the tech should know what he is doing and ask which type and explain to me. So very disappointed and I will not be back! they didn't do my cuticles. don't argue with a customer when it's a bad service just fix it. read more

Horrible and they fixed it but still streaky and uneven not going back! He did it to save time read more

Hollywood Nails - He did me and my sister to save time I guess but he so sloppy not coming back! This was terrible and I will NOT come back! - Nail Salons Near Me - Peru, Illinois

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE! They are absolutely horrible ! Customer service sucks, they have horrible techs. I got my nails done and had a crack in my nail and they were all about fixing it and helping me, because I did not know what to do! Sure enough they made it ten times worse. I go back two days later for them to yell at me telling me it's my real nail they can't do anything about it? Wait what!? Of course it's my real nail! And you told me you would fix it! Never again! This is my hometown and this place sucks! Do not waste your money because they sure as hell wasted mine. read more

Love this salon. I have a standing appointment every four weeks for dip manicure. YES! it last 4 weeks. They do a perfect job everytime. I look forward to my visit with Hollywood. Always leave feeling pretty and pampered. read more

100% DO NOT RECOMMEN! I went there today. gave a simple picture and the owner said he could do it but it would not be exact. I thought no big deal, I understand that! 80% of the way through they were SO bad. I poli told him if he couldn't do it then that's all he had to tell me at the beginning. He then tried to argue that he did, which he did not. So I told him just to make them all one color. He rushed and made a mess of my nails with only one color. I refused to tip so on my way out of the salon a woman who worked there yelled at me as I walked out the door. i definitely should have listened to the ratings. Dont waste your time or money! read more

My mom and I decided to try a different place for pedicures. I've been to a few different places but this was best. At all the other places I've been to I tell them every time: " Don't cut me please. I'm on blood thinners." They cut me every time and ruin my pedi plus pain and bleeding. This place was first place in a long time that has not cut me. Pedicure was very nice and technician did a wonderful job. It helped that he understood English to know important things such as the blood thinner info and met needs. The leg massage was longer than what I've had at other places (basic pedicure). Friendly and reasonable in price. Great experience!!! read more

I've never been confrontational nor would consider myself of being one but it's been three hours later and my nail beds are still raw and red after getting a full set with a no-chip nail polish. I usually go to Anna Bell Spa but received a gift card to Hollywood Nails; let's just say my first time experience was enough for me to NEVER go back again. As a bartender, my hands are sensitive from chemicals when washing glasses and my nails are short and brittle from opening beer cans, etc. I told him but before I explained myself he even looked at my hands and said "wow girl" and whistled while shaking his head. I figured he'd understand to be a little soft on my nail beds considering the damage is noticeable. I could tell who did my nails was experienced but must be burnt out..he did a terrible job. When using tools, he kept loosing focus due to joking around and talking to his other coworkers. He kept pulling my hands closer to him every time he nicked me telling me that I was the reason of him cutting me because I'd move away from him. I kindly explained that I get my nails done twice a month and know how the routine works, that me flinching my hands is due to his fast pace and not concentrating. After that he whipped right through the process, talking to his coworkers in a different language but let's be honest, I'm a female myself and I know when someone is talking crap and talking with attitude. Lastly, when I went to the lady behind the counter to pay- she was also rude, short, and basically wanted nothing to do with me. Now I usually tip 10-15 dollars per visit at my other place. I live off of tips myself, so I get it but it PAINED me to leave him a $5. Tip. He didn't deserve any of my money. If I could give the place Zero stars, I would. My fingers around my nails still have dry white crusts that I assume is from when he put my fake nails on and my nail beds have deep cuts from where he cut me (shown in pictures) It's unfortunate to leave such a negative review, but hoping by doing so, it'll save others time and money. read more

Very unsanitary conditions! In town for a family funeral - needed my nails done. They quoted one price then charged almost double at the end. But the worst offense is that absolutely nothing is sanitized. All nail tools are kept in a drawer - when the technician uses them, they are not even wiped off before being put back in the drawer. Absolutely no cleansing at all. Will be a miracle if I don't wind up with an infection! You'd do better to not get your nails done at all then to get them done here. read more

The "technician" I saw RIPPED my lateral nail wall (the side of the toenail) instead of just trimming the dead or excess skin. I expressed the discomfort on the first foot and I ended up bleeding badly on the 2nd foot. He had to redo polish because I was still bleeding after that long. He also claimed I pulled back which caused him to poke me...which doesn't even make sense. I pulled my foot back because you were ripping my skin off. I have a piece of skin missing and a scab in that area now. Also, he completely skipped my massage. That's right, forgot the lotion and massage. When checking out I explained the situation as I had no plans to pay the full price of a service I didn't receive. He then denied and said he did which caused a scene among the clients and other employees laughing at me and speaking about me. The owner or manager took a small amount off the total and credited the mistake to being busy. I appreciate the apologies I received, but you couldn't pay me to return. read more

very very rude! would never go here ever again... the guy was very disrespectful to me. basically threw his notebook at me. I was a couple minutes late due to weather conditions and he freaked out on me...., never again hope to find a better place will never give that place my money again. read more

Worst nail salon I've ever been to. I'm finally writing a review after my experience happened in April. I'm new in town and this was the first place I saw as we moved here. I made an appt. Went in 5 minutes early (I don't mind waiting a couple minutes) and the guy pointed me to go sit in a station. I sat down and 10 minutes go by and no one is there. Finally a girl sits down and gets out a file and I'm like cool we're getting started..... BUT SHE STARTED FILING HER OWN NAILS! So I started getting frustrated. I sat in this girls station while she did her own nails for 15-20 minutes until one of the other nail techs came over and grabbed my purse and move me to a different station and then didnt say a word... also no one at this station. Then a guy gets up from doing a pedicure and hands me some colors and tells me he's almost done... okay. I pick my color and at this point it's been an hour after my appt time. He finally does my nails and they're crooked and bumpy and I got cut in 3 places (I got acrylics) and just looked awful! Then the manager checks me out at the end and i paid with card and he tells me oh you need cash to tip and i said well no one is getting a tip. And then all of a sudden he realized there was an issue and tried to apologize but i left. I wish I had a picture but I went home and spent 3 hours filing them off!! Honestly worst place ever service wise and technical skill wise. I now go to secret nails in the mall and the manager does my nails and they look amazing every time. read more

I first of all would never recommend anyone come to this place. I had to ask the man to put gloves on. Then he kept hurting and digging even after I told him he was hurting me. He was not friendly at all. When I went to give my gift card that I received for Christmas the owner she just rolled her eyes. A few days after my pedicure I had a few toes that started to hurt. I had several ingrown toenails and I got a terrible infection on one of my toenail and on my skin. I will be contacting the health department. This place is dirty and I am completely disgusted with this place. I have another gift certificate from there and it has went into the garbage. I will never go back to this place ever again! read more

The owners of this salon are rude. I used to go here all the time, and usually received very good (but not excellent) service. The last two times I went, both owners were rude and made me feel unwelcome. This is not acceptable, even if they're having a bad day. Its a shame because the employee who did my nails was very good and I always tipped her well. I won't be going back. read more
