Always excellent service and COVID safety Very professional…read moreand friendly A long time don't break

I have been going here for couple years. Never had anything but excellent service. Everyone…read moregreat. I never had to request anyone because everyone did excellent job. But recently there is only 2 original and new guy. All the other good ones gone. And this last time another new guy and girl were in the mix. I went in several months back and got a new kid. He took forever. I went back second time and got same kid but thought I would give benefit of doubt being new last time. But once again very disappointed as it took 2 hours for nails only. The next time I specifically requested a certain guy who had been there awhile and great job done once again. BUT, I just went back again this past Saturday. I was first one in. My go to guy seemed busy at the moment, so I went to another new guy. He was HORRIBLE. He was really digging into my toe and he made the big left toe bleed. He really used tool and scrapped up pressing that tool in top of nail. Then he went to put the scrub on legs. He was not massaging gently. He was pressing, digging in hard. VERY HARD and I can take pain. He was flicking my toes so hard and pushing them up/down and pulling them. Felt like breaking every single toe. Bending foot up and down but bouncing it hard each way several times and turning ankle around. Then I noticed his knuckle bleeding and he didn't get that taken care of. Continued to work on me with that bleeding knuckle. Just kept wiping on towel my foot was on(lets hope there is no issues with my open bleeding toe and his open bleeding knuckle). He scrubbed right leg, then left then went and lotioned right and went back and scrubbed left(not lotion). I don't recall ever having lotion put on feet/legs. Every time just brutilizing feet and legs. The new girl doing nails was no better. She foiled nails to get the old gel off. They normally let it sit for awhile to work the remover in. She took foil off several minutes later and began scrapping off the old polish rather then use the electric buffer thing to get it off. She only used that a little bit, but scrapped more so then anything. My nails looked horrible after she was done using tool. Finally feet done(thank goodness) and went to finish up nails. She filed but they looked terrible. I looked at them and I told her file angle not straight but wasn't doing it. She went to begin to paint and I pointed out couple fingers that still had my old polish on it and she got it off with file and also I said I wanted clipped. She didn't understand and another woman had to translate. She went to clip but went full in looking at me(usually they start on sides to clip not right in middle). I said forget it. Don't bother. She then painted but looked like little kid coloring outside lines. She had polish all over areas not nails. Another woman had to finish because it had design. She ended up filing much better at angle and getting off the excess polish. I went home furious. Said I was never going to anyone but specific guy or woman. After I got a shower and washed my feet, noticed bruising on my left leg on side and ankle which is no surprise the way the guy was digging into my legs and pressing down, pushing up on foot/ankle, bouncing them both hard, and turning feet/ankles in circles and flicking very hard my toes. You could hear them cracking with what he was doing. Later I was breaking out on both feet with rash. Today my feet are horrible with bruising and spreading rash. I am using creams and taking Benadryl. If it continues I am going to have to go to urgent care to get an antibiotic. I just got off my night shift and was hoping for a nice relaxing mani/pedi and so did not get that. No more benefit of the doubt. NEVER going back. NEVER!!!!!!!

Overall a good experience with a couple of minor issues…read more One, I got here at 2:15 on a weekday. There was only one person getting a manicure and the salon was quiet. Guy at front grabs the gel color swatches and hands to me then directs me to a pedicure chair in the back. I have never been here before so the process was new. A cute older lady was setting up the chair for me and did most of the pedicure treatment. She didn't seem to speak much English but pointed to the pedicure price menu. She also showed me the volcano pedi menu hoo wee that would be a real treat for a special occasion but too rich for my blood. I had gel that needed to be removed and I get it that it is a bit time consuming. But daaaang the pedicure and mani took FOREVER. I appreciate a nail place taking time to have attention to detail and not rushing but this was a very long mani pedi. When the polish was removed the guy from the front took over. He smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke it was a bit of a turnoff. He did however make sure I was happy with the selection of gel color and explained that the confetti gel was clear. And that I might want a solid color under it so I chose white. It was a good choice and I am very happy with the gel color. He also shaped my fingernails very nicely. The color was applied very carefully and I have had a lot of compliments. What wasn't that great in the visit besides the long a$$ time was he cut me a few times with a very sharp tool. Near the end of the pedi he pressed down on the cut with a towel and said he has cut me and will put medicine on it. He put some white cream on the cut. The lady had also nicked me, which was disappointing. The other not so great thing was at the end when I was paying. I gave the guy a cash tip and paid for the service on a card. I was getting my keys out to leave and the guy asked if I wanted him to split the tip with the lady? What? Is that a passive aggressive way to say I needed to give another tip to the lady as well? It was a bit rude and a turnoff. Overall the gel was very nice but such a long time to get done especially when I was the only customer there most of the time.

Background for understanding: I get pedicures every month…read moreand have been to various salons. I can say this was by far the WORST experience I have ever had. I have chronic ingrown toenails, and like to get them removed with a pedicure. I go every month as to stay on top of them. This is the first time I have been to this salon, but will not returning. First Impressions: I went in with gel on my toes already from my last service, so the lady had to scrape it off. That's not unusual and have had it done before by other artists. However this lady roughly scraped the gel off as she squeezed the hell out of my toes. It hurt so much I cried twice. She wasn't empathetic in the slightest. Besides that the lady was on her phone the entire time and was generally rough with her movements. For example, she ripped off the toe hugger things at the end and said "We are done now. I'll check you out at the front". It was the tone and just everything else that made it a terrible experience. Service: I got the "CALLUS TREATMENT SUGAR SCRUB PEDICURE". I got this treatment to specifically target my heels. They were by no means super cracked, I just wanted softer feet. Tell me how I ended up still leaving with dry feet and rough heels. I also have excess skin around my cuticles that should have been taken care of. I should of just got the basic pedicure so I could have paid less. PROS: Atmosphere - Nice comfortable chairs, clean salon, tvs Conclusion: Overall the salon was clean and has potential to be a really good spot. I think this lady just sucked at her job. I don't like being a Karen and don't leave bad reviews if I don't like something. However this was so bad I don't want anyone to experience what I did.
