Third time here. Got in on a Friday a little before noon. Just two other customers. I got right into a chair and the girl got started immediately. There are 8 pedicure chairs in the back of this salon. Appears to be about 7 manicure stations. The staff have been very nice. The man speaks very good English and my first time here he did an excellent pedicure for me. The building itself is very old and they didn't seem to do much with the front entrance display space. It does not look like much when you are walking past on the street. It's a great downtown location. My cousin recommended this place which is why I thought I'd try it. Prices pretty average with a basic pedicure starting at $30. Gel (no-chip) polish is an extra $15. Hot stone add-on is $10. I haven't had a gel manicure as I prefer to do my own gel, but I had them remove my old gel polish. I have also recently had a gel manicure and pedicure, and am glad I called for an appointment that day because they started getting very busy. Just eh. Nice enough but my dip nails were a bit chunky and not as thin or smooth as I expected. Not horrible but just...eh. I've had dip nails for years so familiar with the process and outcome. Probably won't return but as mentioned, not horrible. read more

I was promptly seated for a manicure and pedicure without any wait. The atmosphere exuded the charm of a well-run family business, evident in the diligent work ethic of the staff. Operating six days a week and honoring a day of rest on Sundays resonates with traditional values. It was refreshing to witness the nail technicians multitasking, attending to both clients and maintaining cleanliness within the premises--a practice I find preferable over other alternatives. I have gone 2x for a pedicure and have enjoyed it each time. However, this last time I went and did a dip manicure which I've been doing for 2 years now, but did it here the first time. And it's awful. I had to go back 2 days later for one that cracked squeeze and soft lotion bottle. Now here I am 5 days later and the same finger is completely chipped, another finger cracked, and all the top coat coming off all of them. I will say they use a brand I'm unfamiliar with, but I don't know. Waste of money that's for sure. read more

I've come here for a very long time. I absolutely love Lynn, she's amazing and the best tech there. Never lets me down and my nails always look amazing. The staff here in general are great. I didn't give 5 stars because I hate price of getting them filled. they charge to have your nails shaped even if they're already shaped which I don't like. Like if you go into get coffin nails filled, they charge you to keep the coffin shaped. That's my only complaint. Other than that I love this place and will continue going here! read more

I went in for a dip. This would be the second time I have done the dip at this place. And this will be the last time. Before I left I asked if the glue would come off my skin. The guy replied in a couple washes. When I left is when I could tell being out in brighter light that I do not like my nails at all except the color. I have glue all over my skin and just feel my nails look sloppy. I called and the guy said I could come back and he would fix it, but I do not have time to go back nor do I want to go back. Only reason I gave this four stars was because their nail polish takes forever to dry. I'm not sure if that's just the nail polish, but he did put on many coats. I was there for almost 4 hours, one of those just waiting for my nails to dry. When I woke up the next morning they were dented with lines from my blankets, so it still took a long time for them to dry. Other than that problem the shape and everything else was fine. read more

Let me start off by saying, I didn't end up getting my nails done here. I walked in without a reservation and asked if they do walk ins. They do, but today they were busy, so they had me make an appointment for about 45 mins later, which I was fine with. When I arrived I waited 15 extra minutes before someone was available, which, again, was fine, but I wish they had just given me a more realistic estimate. The facility smells heavily of chemicals, and I would've preferred to wait elsewhere. When I was seated, they gave me a color selection. I scanned through it and pulled out a color, which I was told was not available. So I chose another, also not available. So I chose another.. Not available. So finally I chose a plain white color and said "I'll just get white." to which the technician said "that is not the white we have, is that okay?" Why are you giving customers colors that are not accurate to the stock you have? Anyway, I just said fine to the mystery white color, and the technician pulled out the electric filer. I asked if they could just use a regular file, as my nails are a bit brittle by nature, to which they said no. So I just walked out. It wasn't worth my time trying to get what I wanted out of the manicure, as they were clearly only willing to perform what they wanted to see on a nail. read more

I had an appointment, so only waited about10 minutes. Only 2 men were working this day. The owner did my nails and complained the whole time about his business. And how he hates Ottawa and no one will come and work there. I questioned him about 2 of my nails and he told me he knew what he was doing. Well, in the end I was not satisfied with the 2 nails. He told me I had wait 30 minutes while he did someone else or come back the next day. So I chose the next day. After I left, I thought about it and thought I just paid $40 plus $5 for a tip for a job I was not satisfied with. Plus I had to sit there and listen to him complain the whole time. You go to enjoy yourself and I definitely did not get to do that. I never went back and I will not be going back. I hope he finds his happiness someday, and I hope someone treat the way he treats his customers. read more

Happened to see a flyer for this place and decided to give it a try. Great experience! They only opened about a month ago so the front windows still look kind of messy, but once inside everything is nice and clean. I got a no-chip manicure and it looks beautiful!! They were very gentle, friendly, and paid attention to detail. Prices are pretty reasonable too - my gel manicure cost $24. Definitely going back. read more

I have been going here for the past almost 6 months. The owners are fantastic. They do a wonderful job, communication was great, no language barrier, and options were limitless. Yesterday I went in to get a dip set on my nails before an important event to find the owners had left. Still needing my nails done I decided to give them a try since I trusted the owners. The technicians working were unable to understand what I was asking to get done. After a few moments I thought we were on the same page and the tech began. Things were ok until he 'finished'. My nails were sloppy, misshapen and the color was very wrong. I asked them to take them off and they said they could fix them. Another 20 minutes and my nails were even more messed up. Color was still very wrong with some of my nails the color not even matching, nails are wide at the tips, very bulky, thick, and heavy, and uneven. Worst manicure ever. I'm so upset. The language barrier is really what killed the experience because I was unable to tell them what needed fixed or what I needed tweaked. They just kept asking, Nice color? Now I will be taking my business elsewhere since I now need these nails taken off. read more

I won't be going back. I asked for a full set powdered acrylic french tip. They left me sitting there "soaking" my last set for 2 hours. They completely ignored me the whole time. A scheduled customer came in on time while I was there and they gave away their chairs to 4 customers who came in 2 minutes before. When I walked out I had a clear powdered gel set with a no chip gel polish overlay. I was angry. Nothing like I asked for and 2 days after getting it my tips aren't even painted anymore. Oh and lets not forget that they chopped off my perfectly good naturally long nails, which took me over a year to grow! read more
