I have used Hollywood Feed for my dogs for many years---used to be Pet People. I go to the Woodmere and Chagrin Falls locations. Kevin in Woodmere is wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable and personable. Katie was there but now at the Chagrin location, the one I go to now most of the time. I look forward to going in both locations as a pleasant discussion of my dogs ensues. They know my dogs and remember things from time to time which shows me they truly care. They love their jobs and it is an avocation to help people with their knowledge of the food etc... I am always apprised of coming sales and opportunities. They know about the products and take an interest in helping me with my food choices. When my dog had a gotcha day, I felt happy when they acknowledged the big day with a free chew and ball for her. They fuss over my "kids" and what pet parent doesn't love THAT? read more

The two workers were really friendly and helpful. If you want they will walk you about the store and help you select everything that you need. One of the workers was in training to be a vet so she was especially helpful and knowledgeable. There was a wide range of items for sale from gates and crates to beds to toys and treats. If you are a first time pet owner they offer 20% off if you buy everything off of a list of starter items. They also offer a rewards program where you can earn coupons for your spending starting at a $5 coupon for spending $200. While this is a chain store, it has a local feel. read more

I LOVE this place! I have 2 Westies. My 9 year old Westie had skin problems and my Vet continually put him on antibiotics, shampoos etc. He even wanted to start shots on him (this was over a course of a year or more with no improvement). I knew this was not what I wanted for him. This was very upsetting to me. I googled dog foods and started looking for a grain free product. I called this store and spoke with the Manager to see if they carried the better brands. I could not believe the help and guidance she gave me with just talking over the phone. My dog's skin problems are completely cleared up and doing 100% better physically. Through some great guidance, I also have my dog on a Probiotic and a Glucosamine powder. He acts like a puppy now! He can take longer walks and do everything he did when he was younger. I know my dog is in much better condition now. He never get's ear infections anymore either. I bought a cat tree on Sunday. The 2 men working on Sunday, 9/17/17, were super helpful & carefully put the cat tree in the back seat of my 4 door sedan. Cat trees at this store are made in Ohio, they are very sturdy, well made & I highly recommend them. When I called on Monday & spoke to the manager, Chris, about a price issue, he was extremely helpful. I can't say enough good things about Chris or this store. Everyone is fantastic. The first thing that Pet People does well is bring you up to speed on the coloquial language & introduce to the inside circle - the pet peeps circle. Although in reality the card doesn't do much for you other than an occasional $5 off a $7000 bag of dog food, that same $5 could get you any footlong at Subway this month. The kicker for me was the fact that I could bring my dog into the store & let him roam the aisles while looking over the food/treats/bones. & the associates are true pet lovers with a wide knowledge of the different types of foods & bones & all the dog stuff. They also gave me a punch card, & while you have to buy 12 bags to get a free one, maybe - just maybe - that will be enough to bring me back to the same place to buy my dog food for the next 2 years. I would consider the store a slight premium to Pet Supplies Plus & therefore probably slightly higher priced. If you're into how many grains & what percent chicken fat are in your dogs food, this is a great place to get educated - If you don't really care, Pet Supplies Plus is right down the road. read more

I really enjoyed shopping at this store. My pup eats California Natural food, so I come here whenever I need another bag. They have a great variety of treats and toys, and the store associates are really friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The prices are a little steep, but for me it's well worth the healthy and unique treats and having employees who know their stuff. Bonus - they help you carry big bags of food to your car! Went in looking to find a new cat food because I suspect my cats have food allergies. In the cat food aisle I was greeted by Paul who asked me what I was looking for and if I had any questions. He was very knowledgeable about the different brands of foods. I asked him if, upon trying a food, if my cats didn't like it or didn't tolerate it, if I could return it. He said yes and it wouldn't be a problem. He offered up a bunch of free samples which I totally appreciated! I couldn't walk out of the store with only free stuff so I bought a few cans of food he recommended. Terrific place. I hope and pray one of these foods works because I would much rather buy my food here than online. read more

A 15+ year black and white sheltie, Millie literally gallops through the parking lot as fast as her legs will carry her to get inside this store. And no wonder! The staff warmly welcome her with a pat and belly rub, give her an expectant treat, allow her to investigate behind the counter, and wander the aisles to her heart's content. The ONLY place in the area that sells the pet food brand I buy. I was so worried after my move to Cleveland that I wouldn't be able to find the right brand anymore after buying it from a local place in Akron. So glad I found this place. They have everything for all three of my pets and I love going in and seeing the other animals that people will bring. It's a fun place and it's right by my work. The staff is friendly and really helpful when asking questions. I've gotten tons of free samples from them before too to try to enhance my pets dietary needs. The staff is pretty knowledgeable. I don't write reviews often but I felt the need to tell everyone how wonderful this store is! I only lived in Beachwood for a few months but I owe so much to this place. I learned about the place by chance when I ran into a fellow pet owner at my apartment complex while walking my new puppy. After asking about dog training places in the vicinity (I was new to the area and completely lost), she mentioned the puppy kindergarten classes at Pet People. Now only were the weekly sessions invaluable to teaching my little one some manners but I also found a safe and warm boarding home (Serafina) with the teacher for her when I had to go away. The staff were so knowledgeable about their products and so loving to my pup that I kept coming back. It was her favorite place in the world...she could play all day in there. I got the loyalty card and was mailed more than one coupon for a pound of treats. The treats were small and perfect for training but I found an even better use for them...calming my dog during the 4th of July fireworks. I probably fed her a 1/4 lb but she's not concerned anymore when she hears a loud bang. The greatest thing that the place did for me happened the last week I lived in Ohio. My normal vet is in NY and my little one developed an anal gland abscess (just as we were packing up to leave). I was a mess, not knowing what to do or where to go. The only place I could think of calling was Pet People and, like always, they knew where to send me: Orange Village Animal Hospital (the next great review that I'm going to write).
