They take the time to: 1 Check your water quality 2 Help you actually understand what those numbers mean They explain how tanks go through different spikes before leveling out and becoming safe for fish, which is so important if you want your new pet to thrive. What I really appreciate is that they help you choose fish wisely so that when you bring a new pet home, it actually has a strong chance of survival in your tank. That kind of guidance matters. Plus, almost everything in most of the tanks is for sale, which makes it fun to browse and plan your setup. If you care about doing things the right way and giving your fish the best start possible, this is definitely a place to check out.

They had everything I needed, plus a couple items I had forgot about. And they handed out some excellent advice regarding the issues I was concerned about. Also, I must make note. The feeders, houses, cleaning equipment, etc., etc. is all excellent quality and stands up to the weather for a long time. The staff at Lake Humane Society are purr-fect!…read more I have contemplated about getting a cat for a few years, but never was proactive in doing so. About a month ago, a friend of mine sent me a link to cats that she knew I'd like, which happened to be at Lake Humane Society. On a whim, I decided to submit a inquiry form, never assuming that they'd contact me in less than 24 hours and ask me to visit within another 24. Within 48 hours of submitting my inquiry form, I was at Lake Humane. Going in so soon was honestly a bit nerve wrecking, and due to my trepidation, the staff member suggested that I took my cat home on a foster agreement, rather than adopting so that I could see if I truly was ready to be a pet parent when and to ensure that my prospective pet and I were a match. My cat came already neutered, with his shots, and the staff members were kind enough to clip his nails for me (as I was nervous of doing so myself). In addition, they provide you with a voucher to take your new furry animal to any vet in Lake County, free of charge, as long as you visit within 3 weeks of adopting (in addition to providing you with a years worth of flu shots). If you need any materials for your animal, you can purchase it in-house. I got a scratching post, toys, furniture, carrying case, cat food, and cat nip, all from the society for a very affordable price. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about the Humane Society. My entire experience was a great one. While I have no aspirations of getting another pet, if I did, I know where I'd go.

I really appreciate Ally and the guy last night on 11/10 who helped suggest me products for my Syrian hamster that developed wet tail. They were able to help me with explaining what I needed to help her and were very knowledgeable about the subject when I wasn't. Ally is amazing and she always has such a cheerful attitude and is more than happy to help whenever I have questions. She really is phenomenal and I can't say enough about how amazing she is! I came into today because I was hoping to get a disposable container to take my hamster to the vet in since what she has is contagious and I don't want spreading to my other hamsters, and they let me have a carrier box to take her to the vet in. I am really grateful! This store goes above and beyond. I also will say I have gotten all of my hamsters from this location and have been coming here for years. The hamsters are so well behaved and personable. They also have many options for food and treats. I would recommend coming here for your pets needs!
