PetPeople is a cool chain. They specialize in earth-friendly, ethically made, you can feel good about purchasing it sort of stuff. So, yeah, maybe it seems a little pricey on some things.
I visited this location with my puppy two weeks after their opening. It was still spotless and beautiful. Everyone I met in the store was kind and courteous. My puppy is working on being a good citizen, so I love places I can bring her. They were all patient with her settling down to meet people, too, which I appreciate. Puppy manners are important! I'm not sure if this location offers dog training but the other West Chester location does.
I liked that they had a variety of dog collar prints and the aisles of chewies were fantastic. My dogs love to chew and it helps to keep them occupied so I can do things like write reviews on Yelp...
Dog treats are available in bulk, by the pound. I'm pretty sure we'll try one of everything sooner or later. PetPeople has cat stuff, too. And a little bit of hamster type stuff. Mostly dog and cat, though. I didn't see any cats for adoption in the store. No dogs, either, but I imagine they'll hold events.
If you're shopping for a particular brand of food, you might want to call ahead to be certain they carry it. They don't carry a lot of brands like Science Diet or Purina. Or even Wellness. But there is a huge Kroger next door with a pretty nice pet supplies selection, too. There's also a frequent buyer program. Great store, great people. We will definitely be back. read more
