I rarely give a review. If you are a POC. - this store and management may not be the place for you to purchase items, food, anything for your fur baby. The first time I visited was extremely pleasant, the staff was helpful and offered options. The second time the manager was borderline rude. They were not there on my first visit. They kept it professional - but clearly was bothered that I was purchasing something that was special ordered. The manager said "that person was new and she should not have sold it to you." REALLY - WOW. I asked if I could be placed on the list for the SPECIAL monthly order - they said yes. I provided my name and phone number. 4 weeks later, no call or text. I popped in for dry food and canned goods for my pup. Saw that they had the frozen raw food I'd purchased and requested before. Grabbed it. Went to the counter to pay for it. They began again with "that's special ordered..." I told her I was one of the customers that requested it. Gave my number again. She confirmed she had my information but wasn't sure on why I didn't receive a call. In possibly the most unpleasant tone - she said "it should be fine for you to take this one". It's been 4 weeks - I called to check if the order had come in. They confirmed that they have the stock, in a slow irritated voice. I gave my number again. Asked if they had called. No because "my" order has not come in. It saddens me to know that a very dear friend recommended this store branch. It is well out of my way. But they came highly recommended. I've expressed to my friend that I don't think it's the place for me and my family. The manager or lead - doesn't want my money. He said, that he was hoping that wasn't true, but I'm not the first friend and POC that's relayed concern to him about that Hollywood Feed Branch. read more

Okay. So I've visited three times so far. Twice before picking up my pup and once after. The first time I came in I met Brandon. Knowing some facts about what dogs shouldn't and should be fed I went with the brand Fromm. But Fromm has two kibbles for puppies. Luckily Brandon was there to advise me. I didn't know when Brandon informed me that cockapoos can be sensitive to grain so I bought the. 4lb bag The next time I came in was to exchange that same bag. Why? It's more cost efficient to get the largest bag. I also bought some treats and a name tag. Sydney helped me and she was great. I do remember that when I asked her about her pups she said she had five at home. In my eyes she knows her stuff. I also bought a couple of billy sticks. When I returned today it was to exchange the treats and as a bonus I got a new harness. When I came in Brandon was there and showed me treats that he said my pup would be guaranteed to love. He was right. I went with the cheddar recipe of Etta Stays. When I came in i also asked Brandon for help with my pups harness. Luckily Brandon was able to find one for me that fit properly. We absolutely love Hollywood Feed! Steve and the rest of the staff are always so helpful and nice. They help you carry heavy purchases to your car. They even do same day delivery. I love that you can type your number during check out and your account keeps track of your purchases. It helps me to remember what I love so I can buy it again especially when trying new things. They have so many great quality products that are good for your fur babies that you can't find at Kroger or Walmart. I love my furbies and I believe in giving them the best quality of life. read more

Went into this place one time. Was inside for less than five minutes. Asked about raw food and was pointed to where it was. Decided I wanted to browse a bit since I am new to the area and the place had a lot of nice things. No sooner did I find some items worth buying, one of the employees decided he was going to conspicuously check on the end caps and straighten out some items. Now I am not one to let paranoia take over my mind, but I have been on the planet long enough to know that maneuver. It's the "I think you may be stealing, so let me saunter over and check on some stuff." It couldn't have been more obvious that he was ensuring I wasn't stealing something. Some of us know this experience all too well. Decided then I was in no way going to hand over my money to these inhospitable trolls. As I left, I called the male out on his behavior to one of the women there who walked out with me, and it was as if she knew I was right and stated she would "let the manager know." And that "he's new." Went back in because I was so vexed and called the male out to his face and he played coy. It's 2023, do not let people gas light you and tell you you're mistaken in these moments. It's such a vulgar way to handle people who are considering giving you business. One star! I bought a new pet waterer yesterday and I have to say, I was so impressed with the gentleman who assisted me. While explaining that my current waterer had stopped flowing enough for the cats to drink, he offered for me to bring it in and see if he could take apart the motor and fix it. Then I would have 2 waterers. I didn't even buy it there! I purchased the same brand yesterday. Too many people complain on yelp. Great people and a good variety of pet food and supplies. They are very knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics--and if they don't know they have others in the store that they ask. My Rottie loves them and even though we moved about 20 miles away and don't get to visit as often before, we still make the trip to get her frozen meat from them. read more
