This past weekend I was able to get an appointment on the same day. A couple of hours after I dropped him off I received a call from Jessica. She had called to inform me of something but I took away a lot more from the conversation. At times in the past (not here) the process has been very routine. Drop the pet off, they call when he's ready, and you pick him up. Not this time. From the first call to see if an appointment was available ( I believe I spoke to Macy) was friendly and helpful. We had our 125 gallon tank up and cycled for 12 weeks all test were perfect went to add some fish and I should've trusted my gut here and not shopped fish at this store very unprofessional! Tanks were disgusting black algae all in it! But I proceeded anyway and got home soaked the fish and added them to my beautiful tank lo and behold the fish had ick!! Couldn't tell it until I put them in the pristine water! Had to destroy my tank by adding ick treatment that stains everything! Called PetSmart played phone tag with manager and customer service offered nothing to resolve my inconvenience! Emailed manager back twice no response two of the angel fish died nothing I could do to help them but spent another 250. Replacing filters and decor! Also the ick treatment! read more

I came here to get my dog groomed and trimmed Monday and was told that what I needed to be rescheduled with the person who cuts only as my dog would need to be scheduled for a trim and a bath since I wanted his face trimmed. Got rescheduled for Thursday with Alicia and here's how the experience went: I do not like the teddy bear look for my shih tzu so I asked her to just trim his face and sanitary parts. She made mention that he's going to "look like a turtle but that's up to Me". So I told her proceed with what I asked. I get a call that she wasn't feeling well, is leaving early and that my dog wasn't finished and wasn't given a bath because he wasn't finished being de-matted. Totally confused here because our evaluation showed that only his paws and under belly was matted and they said she took care of that before she left. Had to get a manager involved. They weren't rude but I am not a happy customer. In the end I still have to come back because he's not complete and is still dirty. Jordan the manager completely took on the situation and explained everything that went wrong, took ownership for it and did what he could to make the situation right. I am still not coming here again. Really can't believe my dog looks like he did when he left. Only his eyes are cleaned out. read more

OMG!!!' This by far was the worst experience ever! If you want your dog to look unclean and untrimmed this is your place. The techs cannot cut. I left my baby there for 6 hours just to come back to a big mess. I was very clear on the cut and they said they could do it. They claim my dog bit the staff but I know that's not true because my dog has gone to the groomer since he was 12 months old. I also took him home and used my flippers on his face and he didn't fight nor did he try to bit me. He was extremely cooperative.. He is very comfortable with the clippers. I only took him to pet smart because his regular salon was over booked. This place is horrible and they charged me 29 dollars for a bath, just unacceptable. Please don't wast Your money here. I started a 20 gallon fish tank around Covid time. I bought two to three tetras from this location that had ick on them. I figured because it was covid they couldn't get new fish from breeders. I was wrong. I bought two fish and two snails 2-3 days ago and once again, one of them have ick. By now I have a tank full of 8 other fish for 2 years. I have medicine. I am hoping my babies will survive. But make sure you check your fish closely before you buy them from this store. I am going to be livid if all of my babies die. read more

Took my Elsa here for a full grooming appointment. Was able to get a next day appointment. Her groomer was Morgan and she was very patient with us choosing the right length for Elsa's coat. I don't trust many people to groom Elsa because of her thick coat, but these ladies were great. They were very friendly. I paid $43 and it included the bath, cut, nails cut, ears cleaned, anal area cleaning, etc. My only complaints were the check out line was way to long and for any dog that's just spent the last 2-3 hours being groomed...well I'm sure you can guess what happened next. Lol. However, Brent was awesome and plunged right in to take care of Elsa's mess for us. Also, her cut looked great but she didn't smell like she just left the groomer. I was expected some nice scent to accent her new cut so I lathered her down afterwards with her lavender waterless shampoo. Just like us women...we like to look,feel, and smell good!! read more

2/15/2020. Approx 4:15 pm Pet groomers were aweful and with attitude. Brought my senior Yellow lab in to be groomed. Was called back to store to come and pick our dog up. Apparently during the bath our dog sat down and they refused to finish the job. No apologies or reasonable explanation. We have been taking our dogs there for quite some time but never have been treated this poorly. The girl attending our dog had blue hair. Just a heads up. I really tried to give this Petsmart a chance but don't bother attempting to schedule because they don't have enough groomers so little to no slots available. Also, the last two times I took my dog for a grooming he was just okay and they didn't bathe him from the shoulders up. It was terrible. I received a grooming service today for my four month old puppy, and the service was terrible. I booked my puppy a full service which included a wash, blow dry, haircut, and nail cut. Which I only received 2 out of the 5 services I booked. The team lead Tatiana was the one who serviced my dog and she was very unprofessional and condescending. We've used this location on a couple of occasions and have never had a bad experience. Our primary purpose of visiting PetSmart is their walk in dog grooming facility. Our dog Stella need her nails trimmed and today was GREAT! We were met by Ash and she was excellent! She was friendly to chat with before and after the trimming. We watched through the window a few times to see how it was going and we would find her being super sweet to our dog as she was being impatient getting her nails trimmed. You can tell Ash cared for our dog and she exceeded any other person who's trimmed her nails. As far as the remainder of the store it too was great. We called around to see who was taking Santa pics and they said they would be that sunday so we put Foxy in her Sunday best and drove up. We stood around for a while waiting for them to find out who was going to take the pics. A sweet lady finally came and we were able to get some pics until the iPad froze so she grabbed another one. She was able to send pics from the 1st iPad to my email and I received them immediately. We then took more on the 2nd one and she said she would email them so we left. After we left and 2 hours later still no pics, i called up there because i recall she didnt ask for my email again and she assured me that she did send it and also, the iPad does not retain the photos after they have been emailed. This was 23rd of December i think and today is.... January 18 and i still dont have the pics because she obviously never sent them! What a waste of time and a pretty dress for Foxy!! Absolutely AWFUL. This place is so ridiculous, i wish i could have given them 0 stars. I called in yesterday to ask if they had time to cut my dog's hair today. The woman puts me on hold and comes back to say they're all booked but to bring him in at 9AM and they'll get him done. That should have told me enough to not go to someone who cares more about making money than overfilling their spots. So i take my dog there this morning at 9AM. He was not ready until 4 PM. THAT'S 7 HOURS MY DOG WAS THERE. And when the rude woman called me to tell me he's finally ready, she just called and said "your dog is ready" and hung up. Didn't even make sure that it was me, didn't even wait to listen if i even said thanks. What if she had the wrong number and i would have never known if my dog was ready? No excuse for having my dog that long. He came out TERRIFIED AS ALWAYS. I can only imagine what they put him through in a cage for HOURS AND HOURS with clearly no bathroom break as i found out when he first stepped out the store. Also the haircut was awful and she didn't even trim the hair around his ears like they always do so he looks ridiculous and the mix between his head and body is so choppy and bad, you guys must find your employees off the streets. Never again will i bring my dog here, I'll go to a real groomer that cares about the animals more than the money. You guys are disgusting. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I took our Malshi there to get groomed. The first thing that I noticed was that as soon as he went inside the groomers, he made a mad dash for the door and attempted to get back out. They told me that he had some matting and they'd assess a $14 surcharge to my total in order to remove the mats. I was ok with that but then asked that they not shave him closely, since they were planning on removing the matting. The young woman called the salon supervisor over. The supervisor was very curt and in a very ornery manner stated "the mats are too tight, we can't de-mat him" and that they needed to shave him closely in order to remove the matting. I then asked why it was that I was paying an extra $14 for "de-matting" when they weren't going to untangle the matting. Her response was that they were charging me an extra $14 because it would "take extra time" to groom him and they'd need to "use a special tool" in order to remove the matting. I asked what the "special tool" was- her answer was essentially- a lower setting on the clippers. Wait, what?! Yup, they wanted to charge me an extra $14 to "de-mat" him but all they were planning on doing was shaving off his hair. At this point I stated that if they wanted to charge an extra $14 for it taking MORE TIME to groom my pet, that I'd have NO ISSUE with that, but that they should just say so, but don't tell me that you're charging me an extra $14 to "de-mat" my pet when you're planning to just shave the hair off and not actually untangle it. At this point, the supervisor became even more insolent and in a very derisive way said: "If you don't like the way we do things here, you can take your dog somewhere else!" We decided to do just that, and found some local groomers in Loganville, who were grateful to have our business. Our pets were groomed AND there was not even a comment, let alone a surcharge, for matting. PetSmart- Snellville will never get a penny of our hard-earned money again and we'll encourage all our friends that have pets to avoid them also. read more

I been going to the snellville location since they opened , I have 3 birds and 3 dogs , I like the selection they offer for my babies , until recently I decided to get an aquarium before I did my research in how to cycle the tank probably, I went and asked many questions about different fish , food and proper care , I have had my tank up for almost a month I got the water tested by them as well no problem with my tank , so I got my fish by pet-smart , I didn't start with many as well , unfortunately they died I had no problem returning them until Brent the manager rude as can be ,had the audacity to tell me well there must be something wrong with your tank we can't keep selling you fish , I just brought the water sample before I purchased one more , again my tank water is great , why do you have the return policy if you going to complain about returning dead fish , all this time I been happy with all the sales people except this one time enough for me to never return back to this store , from no on i go to Petco , for all my pet need . DO NOT take your pets here. Worst petsmart I've ever been to. Took my puppy Chloe to get groomed left her there for 4 hours on a Sunday. Got there at 2pm and had to rush there to pick her up at 6 because they never called me to tell me she was done or that they were closing. I finally got there and they gave me some type of flea treatment to put on Chloe. The lady told me to wait 2 days and put the entire tube of medication on her back. (Chloe is 4 pounds and 11 years old) so i kind of thought it was weird to put the whole thing on her but i done it anyway because i thought she'd actually know what she's talking about. 2 days later i apply the flea medicine on her back.. 1 hour later i notice her in her little bed and not wanting to move. Normally As soon as Chloe hears the word outside she jumps and runs to our door. This time she didn't. She wasn't walking, eating, or drinking. She was constantly shaking and wouldn't want to be bothered. So i finally read the box of the medication and it says to only apply 3 drops not the entire tube!!!!! so i called petsmart and talked to a few people and said my dog isn't acting right whatsoever, i explained everything she was doing she just wasn't her self. One lady told me come in bring her to banfield and petsmart will take care of it. I go back to petsmart they took blood from her and everything came back fine but they said somethings wrong with her neck. Now i know for a fact when i dropped her off to get groomed she was perfectly fine. I'm assuming the groomers are abusive there because when i dropped her off a lot of the other dogs were like screaming and crying. Never will i ever bring my baby back here. I won't be returning to this store. I currently have a service dog i have been taking to this store for grooming for the last 4 months. Within this 4 months i haven't been able to get an appointment when i want for my dog. I always have to wait about a week to get an appointment, once i make the appointment and call to confirm they have to change it for me because the excuse of unforseable appointments. When i get to the store they don't have the updated records of his shots on the cpu, they also only have him down for just a nail trim. Come on people for the last 4 months he's been getting a bath and nail trim the same thing for the last 4 months. Why would i just call in for just a nail trim. There excuse to me is i can't blame them for there computer updates. There is no professionalism in the staff. They offered to try to work me in but I've been inconvenienced enough today. I'll go somewhere else and spend my money on gromming, medical and food for both of my pets every month. read more
