Olive and I LOVE Oak Lawn Hollywood feed!! Olive hates getting her nails trimmed, however consistent trims here have her off the muzzle during trims and she's not as anxious getting them done like she is at the vet. We LOVED Angie ! She handled my almost 7 year old black lab with so much love and care. We met and walked through what we wanted to do- he's pretty long haired/shaggy like a golden retriever. Angie got him all cleaned up and bathed to perfection. It was reasonably priced, for his grooming, bath, nails, ears and anal glands. It was $110 (it is subject to the size of your pet and what all needs to be done, but for my large size dog I felt like this was so reasonable!) !! Highly recommended. I absolutely love Hollywood feed. You tell the groomer you don't want your dogs eyelashes getting cut and all of a sudden they are gone . I give them another chance & they cut my dogs skin twice . I go for my cats food that they sometimes have and sometimes don't . And now they say they don't have my appointment for my 9am grooming that we called at 9 am to let them know we would be late since I was coming in from forney taking my kitten to her surgery and heavy traffic came right after. After we spoke to them about it on the phone at 9am. My boyfriend arrived at 9:20 and says he has a appointment at 9 and they say there is no appointment and once I call they say different to me than to him when he called at 9am about traffic that we would be late and they guaranteed we would be fine but yet told me over the phone once I called back that my appointment gets pushed back every minute of being late . I have been coming here for a year and have gotten my dog groomed several times and have been a loyal customer and have always recommended this Hollywood feed to everyone I meet. I did not just drive an hour in traffic to be told we were okay to be late to all of a sudden not having an appointment. I will say other than that I have always enjoyed the staff when I walk in and the friendliness to help out. This is the first I have had a manager not be helpful and other staff give my boyfriend and I the wrong information of us being okay of being late because of heavy traffic. read more

Hello!! I only use KAT in the spa... my 70 year old pretty little lady is a fragile 6-7 lb Maltese and she is in good hands with KAT. I have used KAT when my original groomer for 20 years wasn't available. I REALLY LIKE HER CHARMING CHARACTER... and professionalism as well as her grooming skills. *** KAT gets a "5 STAR" review! The loud, flamboyant, rude, emotionally unstable guy, is not allowed to groom my fragile baby. His temperment is unwelcoming, unprofessional and utterly disrespectful. I'm sure he's just fine grooming short haried tougher dogs. He gets a "-1 star" and a thumbs down review because of his bombastic behavior. JD is the best groomer I've ever encountered. My goldendoodle is almost two and has been through a few. He has extremely thick hair, and my vet kept shaving him down to look ridiculous. They'd tell me he was too matted no matter how much I brushed him and that they had to do it because his hair was unmanageable. I became frustrated and my neighbor insisted that I see JD. Drop off time is convenient - stopped by about 8:30 AM before work. JD was so friendly and knowledgeable. My dog automatically took to him. I picked him up, and his hair has never been softer! JD was able to blow it out and get out the tangles instead of shaving him naked. He looks awesome, and we'll be sticking with JD for sure! read more

Horrible delivery service. The sign for my apartment complex can't get much bigger and the driver still couldn't read it. My items were delivered somewhere else. I called the store and all the associate kept saying was " um that's weird some one must of took it by accident " They didn't have what I ordered in stock anymore, since they delivered my items to some one else. I asked for a refund and they couldn't give me a refund. I had to call a customer service number and wait on hold to try and get my money back. They even sent me a picture of where they left it and it wasn't even my apartment. So no, no one accidently took it your deliver driver messed up. Tip to the manager hire a delivery driver that can read. I have been shopping at Hollywood Feed since I moved to Texas several years ago. After hearing that my dogs groomer moved here from a different facility, I knew we had to follow him but was a little hesitant to get my beloved dog groomed at a pet store. I had had a bad experience with a big box pet store grooming but I knew JD did an amazing job on the dogs so decided to try it out. WOW! This is literally heaven for pets. There is literally an ENTIRE wall of toys, a wall of collars and leashes and everything in between. I discovered Hollywood Feed through the lovely community here at Yelp, which is why I'm extremely thankful because without Yelp I would have never met JD, the groomer there. I booked the appointment for my 5 months old puppy shih tzu 5 weeks in advance, and counted down every single second for it to get here because I was so excited. Drop off time is between 8:30-11 pm, so I got my puppy in around 9:30 on a Friday morning and there were already so many dogs ahead of him! This guy was totally booked!!! JD is super nice and knowledgeable, he informed me about how to manage my shih tzu's hair and stuff that will be happening to it in the few months to come. I noticed how caring he was with a poodle he was working on and it made me feel like I had came to the right place to groom my puppy! :'-) lol. Thanks JD keep up the great work! The store itself is amazingggggg, they had everything you could imagine for your pet and even some exclusive brand of dog food that you can't get anywhere else. The treats are all organic...I thought they were overpriced, but compared prices to chewy, and they weren't too drastically different. BUT if there is a difference, Hollywood Feed will price match, assuming the price they're matching isn't under the mandated minimum advertised price. They do also guarantee their purchase, in the event I try one and my dog doesn't like it. That's very generous. The staff was friendly. I came to Hollywood Feed this week at the advice of my Vet, Dr. Johnston, looking for sorely needed food advice and a list if suggestions for my ailing, elderly cat. Naturally the sun rises and sets on my furry companions and the wonderful woman at Hollywood Feed on Knight St. who helped me, listened carefully as I described my aging cat's finicky appetite, that she had refused to eat for 5 days and how at wits end and powerless I was feeling over my inability to entice her to eat. I wish I could remember the woman's name, I'll surely get it next time. She asked several questions, listened carefully and gave me 4 different types of foods with instructions, reiterating multiple times that I was to return anything she wouldn't eat for a refund.
