I told her how much my dog weighs and she publicly humiliated me in front of everyone and said i was lying and took my dog to step on the scale and she didn't even hold him on there to really see his weight. she over charged me and then the lady who was working proceeding to say it's a family owed business and how they will not lose money because i said he was about 50 pounds and she said he was 60 pounds... i ended up going to the emergency room for my dog and guess what? he weighed 50 pounds! very unprofessional and i have never felt more embarrassed in my life. i do not know the workers name but from what i remember she had a very short haircut. read more

The employee working the evening shift on April 17 locked the doors while I was present and did not acknowledge me, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. It would be very helpful for customers if there were clear signage indicating the last wash time. That would set expectations and prevent situations like this from happening. I've noticed that interactions during the evening shift can be inconsistent, and I hope management takes a look at this. A little more communication and customer awareness would go a long way in improving the experience. This was my boyfriend and I's first time here so we were unaware of the rules. We originally called before showing up, but no one answered the phone (shocker). We walked in a few mins BEFORE the cut off and saw that the last bath was at 7:30 pm... meaning baths are still available until 7:30 PM!!! We stood at the check out counter for a few mins before approaching another customer asking what do we do since the only worker ignored that we were there until literally 7:30 on the dot. It was then when we were walking to the bath station when the worker finally approached us stating "it's 7:30 & the last bath is at 7:30" Mind you, there's MULTIPLE other reviews stating they came it AT the cutoff time & were STILL offered services. After stating we stood there for a few mins with no assistance she hesitantly offered to call her manager to ask if we could bathe our dog. The manager restated the rules & told us (not asked) to come back the following day, which we could've done had she not been speaking in a condescending tone from the min she hopped on the phone. When my boyfriend told her we were there before 7:30 & nobody helped us she said "well honestly i don't care" and proceeded to argue over the phone & continued to yell (lmao) until my boyfriend hung up & we walked out. We came to bathe our lab just after 7:30, not knowing that 7:30 was the cutoff. We were totally fine with coming back another time, but an employee there named Joel was incredibly nice and helpful, allowing us to bring our dog in since it was just us. We were trying to be quick, so as not to take advantage of Joel's kindness, but he was consistent with offering us assistance. At the end, our dog unfortunately peed on the ground, and though I felt awful about it, Joel cleaned it up with no hesitation. We will be bathing our dog here regularly in the future. I just washed my dog here. They supply all of the soap and conditioner--they have many different kinds--and all the towels and everything that you need. it's walk-in and self service. TERRIBLE!! Zero stars.. I've come here for the past year it's dirty in here but it's close and it's cheap but since last night I will never ever return and don't recommend you this place either. The owner Kelly is very rude & confrontational towards her customers.. Last night there was a storm passing through oakcliff that lasted 20-30mins. I arrived about 20 mins before it started not knowing what was going to happen. I was kicked out during the worst part of the storm (when it just started) while mid bath, the young lady in the front told us to leave, my dog was soaking wet. My safety, my 4yr old son's safety & my dogs safety was compromised by this business. We got kicked out while it was starting to hail. Instead of letting us shelter for safety we were forced to leave. I'm a huge advocate for small businesses but the customer care, let alone the owner of the place is terrible. I called today to resolve the issue of last night, how my dog & son were affected in this & the owner's response was "ok take it to the vet, my dog gets sick too" excuse me? LOL very confrontational about the whole situation. this is the same person who runs a small business? I felt so uncomfortable & was extremely disrespected. Honestly this is many reasons why people stay away from small businesses because there are too many people who don't know how to deliver customer service and lack common sense & common decency. This lady will treat you like this after you've given them returned business.. Anyway I don't recommend this ronchy, terribly ran place. This is a much needed addition to Oak Cliff. My dog is a big dude and needed a good, thorough washing. I love that this is a family-run business, and they have such a friendly staff. The tubs were huge! The shampoos and conditioners were great. Plenty of room to clean the dog and I stayed relatively dry with their apron! The dryers are also quiet and cool enough that I could dry Sarge from head to toe without him squirming. I was actually really impressed with those dryers because most places have equipment that scares doggos. I will be back for sure. Being able to dry a Husky is not something I take for granted! The owners whom I talked with, for a while were very pleasant and welcoming. They had a place for me to keep my other dog. While I bathed one of them, the facility was nicely, kept and smelled rather fresh for a dog salon type place. The only thing that I'm not raving about or the prices we have for dogs and it's $27 a dog, the soap that they offered was amazing. It killed fleas instantly and smelled like some kind of tropical vacation. (Long - but then you know, ri g.j h1 I love taking my dogs to Bruno's Place for their baths - and not only my dogs, but I take my mother's puppers as well. They just make it so easy, and it's so much less than taking them to a groomer. I live in Oak Cliff, so it's perfectly ccxconvenient as well. I use their punch card reward program, so every 6th wash is free! Between my 2, our foster, and mom's 2, we run the spectrum of dog types as well. If I take a group of 3 or more at the same time, I will use the private bathing stall. That way I only have to crate the little one who tries to fit under the door, and everyone else can sniff around while waiting their turn. If I only take 2, there is a convenient crate right there by the tubs in the open room for the one waiting. I have back problems, and bathing is hard at home. But now... I no longer have to wrestle 70lbs of brindle goober into a bathtub! You just unlatch and open the tub door, pull out the RAMP, and in he goes while I've still got him in harness and leash. Change to the in-tub leash to keep him where I want him, turn on the warm water, and pick from the selection of shampoos and conditioner. He's a shorthair, so just a few minutes with the blowdryer set next to the tub ]and convenient array of grooming tools, and he's ready for me to pop the door back open, and down the ramp we go! My other baby is a super-floofer... hair everywhere! But now, thankfully, not all over my bathroom, or clogging my drain tut li! They even provide a blue super-absorbant towel that makes drying much, MUCH easier, and cuts blowdrying time significantly. When I take the little boys in, there is either a platform you can set up in the private room's tub to raise them up so as not to break your back, OR there is one tub especially for the little pups. They also provide white-brightening shampoo, which is great on mom's white floofy, where he gets discolored fur under his chin. Bruno's even has 2 grooming tables, which are quite helpful for brushing and trimming up. I brought my own set of clippers, so I'm not sure if or what they have as far as trimmers, but we could run an electrical cord to the table no problem. If you go during the day, I believe before 5pm, they can even do nail trims for an additional cost. And on a chihuahua's tiny nails? Yes, please! Best of all they are super friendly, always asking if they can help, or if you need anything. They don't wash the dog for you, but they can be right there as an extra hand when you need it! read more

We love Bruno's place! It's kind of a small cozy atmosphere for your dogs, there's a few small dog stations- a few big dog stations. We take our German Shepard and she can be a mess I tell you, and our little shih tzu they love it. But we love how we're able to give them a bath, with shampoo and conditioner provided then I'm able to trim my shih tzus hair with the scissors they provide, and clean her ears with the wipes and drops they also provide! There are several tubs to use and I love that all the supplies are there for us to use. If you have more than one dog, it looks like the have a family room for you to tackle that job. It has a door so your pups are not wandering all around while you bathe another. I LOVE this place. I bring Jupiter in every couple weeks and she doesn't enjoy baths but they make it super easy here. The wash they use are all good quality. They provide ear wipes. All different kinds of brushes and multiple towels. They even give you a little sock to gently wash your pups face. There's rubber mats at every station so you and your pup don't slip around.
