Urban Paws is my mini dachshund "behr's" favorite place to call his second home. I work long hours so having a reliable and safe place where he can have fun while I am away and I don't have to worry about him is so life saving. Everyone at the facility loves behr like their own and you can really tell the care they provide him....trust me he would let me know if he wasn't happy. I have used difereny boarding and day care facilities in the past and this place is by far my favorite. I would 100% recomend taking your fur baby here and make sure if you see behr tell him hi!!!

Can't speak highly enough of this place. Lauren, the owner, runs a top notch operation. She's been watching my 107 pound German Shepherd (Moose) for quite some time and he loves her staff. He's even had an accident while playing (not their fault) and had to be rushed to the vet, and she took care of all of the charges and kept calling to check on us. Customer for life.

Needed to give a HUGE shoutout to Urban Paws for taking care of Omar this last week. Omar has been going to Urban Paws since he was a puppy, almost 5 years ago, for daily doggy day care and throughout the year we take long weekend vacas and week long trips and they take the best care of him. We feel so comfortable and happy knowing he is in good hands. Everyone knows him by name and we just love that. Thank you again!! Omar and family :)

This place is AWESOME!! My baby Pablo had his first visit here at urban paws last week and I take it he had a great time! He's not around other dogs much and is usually spending most of his days lounging around and chewing on everything he can get his teeth on... I heard about urban paws from a friend & it is game changing! The staff is super friendly and I love that they separate the big dogs from the small dogs! There were so many dogs for Pablo to make friends with! After picking him up, my fur baby had absolutely no energy!! Urban Paws wore little Pablo out, which was GREAT! Definitely excited about this recommendation! The pricing is reasonable, staff is friendly, facility is clean & my Pablo had a fun play day!

The little black and white one is my baby. I'm so proud of him for climbing that toy! @ Urban Paws

This is my dogs' primary day camp and boarding place! My oldest has been coming here for about a year and a half, and my little one for a few months. I am a total helicopter parent when it comes to my pups, so I spent hours researching different doggy daycamps before choosing Urban Paws. Here are the things that we like about this place: BOARDING As far as I am concerned, this is the best part of Urban Paws! The dogs are not kept in cages, but in "townhomes," which are basically second-floor rooms with outside-facing windows. They have raised beds. There is plenty of room if your dog wants to bring his toys, bedding, chew toys, HDTV, Nintendo, etc. (Just kidding-- my dogs don't have their own television sets or video games, but if they asked me for them I'd probably agree. I have a serious soft spot for these pups). My dogs are housed together, at a discount for the second dog, and they are very comfortable. They have the option of playing with all the daycamp doggies during the day, and returning to the townhomes for "nap time." Even if you opt out of playtime during the day, they will be taken outside four times for 15-30 minutes each time, which is a lot of interaction compared to other boarding facilities. The folks at Urban Paws are very accommodating for different doggy needs. At one point, my little one was on medication, but we had to board him. I walked in with him, two overnight bags, and a list-long single-spaced instruction sheet. They were really patient and walked through the sheet with me. DAYCAMP I used to take my oldest here 3-4 times every week, so she was quite a regular. (I cut back because I have two dogs now, and they keep each other company). Everyone knew her name! Urban Paws has over 10,000 square feet of play areas for the dogs, sorted between small, medium, and large dogs. All play areas are constantly supervised and cleaned. This facility is one of the cleanest doggy daycares I have ever seen! In order to keep the dogs from getting bored, they rotate play areas between indoors and outdoors every few hours. They have pretty good hours (7am-7pm) on weekdays, which is appreciated. I've picked up my dog a little late a few times, and they were really nice about that, too. They also provide "valet" service, so during drop-off, they come and take the dogs from your car. It's really convenient! The best part is that after a full day at Urban Paws, my pups are always so tired and happy that they sleep on the car-ride home. OTHER FACTORS The folks at Urban Paws really get along with the animals, and they care a lot. The owner of Urban Paws has a good relationship with the vets at Katy Trail Animal Hospital (where I take my dogs) so that's a plus. They also upload photos of daycare days pretty regularly onto their Facebook page. It's really fun to look through them and look for your dog. Some of the other reviews have mentioned dogs coming home dirty. I haven't had too much of a problem with this-- at least not any more so than with other boarding places. If I leave them there too long, they will smell like dogs when they get home, in which case, they get the pleasure of being bathed in my sink. As a side note, they do laundry at Urban Paws-- they'll clean my dogs' beds and blankets before returning them. Would recommend. Woof!

Murphy's first time at day care was a success. The Parada's are loyal UrbanPaws family now and for the foreseeable future.

The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive to my puppy, who thoroughly enjoys her time with the staff and the other dogs! They even celebrate birthdays! I really appreciate that they have the dogs on a regimented schedule instead of confined to one playroom room all day. The dogs have personal time, indoor play, and outdoor play time (each with similar sized dogs). For personal time, each dog has a roomy open-air suite with food/water bowls, a bed, and toys (if you opt to pack them in their daycare bag). For flat-faced breeds like mine, they provide slanted bowls. Although there aren't livestream cameras, the team posts photo dumps to the Facebook group every afternoon (see examples)! Also worth noting, the team is quick to flag any upcoming vaccination needs or behavior changes. They keep a very close eye on the dogs. Lastly, the hours they offer are unmatched. Drop-off opens at 7:30am and pick-up closes at 7:45pm. In summary - The attention to detail that the staff has is exemplary, and their patience and love for dogs fosters a tail-wag inducing environment!

I have had different pet sitters in the past, and as of last year I've had a dear friend who has kindly watched them. And she will continue to do so for very short trips when she's available to help out. But for longer trips and also to have a permanent go-to sitter, I will often be relying on The Comforted Kitty. Here's how it works: - they send you the link to their system - you have a LOT of paperwork online to fill out, be forewarned. Mine took a few hours as I have many cats due to an unforeseen and unplanned situation (you have to fill out info for each cat and it's a LOT, but I was able to cut and paste for much of it). PLAN TIME for this, you cannot knock this part out in a few minutes. However it's very complete info and it's basically the equivalent of you being there in person and them writing every single thing you say down. This helps with matching you to the correct sitter, but also gives them all food, medicine, doctor, emergencies etc info. And it's one and done. You don't fill this out each time. It is a lot of work upfront but then you're done and it's on file for any of them to see. So in case your sitter due to something unforeseen cannot make it, another sitter can easily pop in and replace because she or he will have access to everything on your cats' profile(s). It makes for a seamless transition if needed. - they have a free meet and greet of 30 minutes with your potential sitter they have chosen for you (I believe you can also choose someone directly but I may be mistaken on this) - you can go in on the app or the website (both worked well) and choose the dates needed and the times needed. You can have specific shift times like between noon and 5pm amongst others, or you can select "any time." - if you need to cancel or add days, it's very simple to do there as well - they charge your credit card on the day you get back not before you leave which I really appreciated - you can leave a tip for your sitter in case at your home or arrange with the sitter after to send a tip (I left a small amount in case since this was a new service and I didn't know how well the sitter would do - when I got back I sent her more via Zelle, she earned it!) - unlike any previous sitting service I have used, this one is very business-like. You'll get a notification both in app and email that your daily report is waiting. And it's very detailed: the time entering and leaving, how much the cat(s) went to the bathroom, ate, drank, and updates on play time and activities including pictures. You can reply to the sitter in the portal but it also comes through as a text so it was easy to communicate. I was on my first ever trip to Europe for a choral tour and I had no glitches at all in communication. Shannon here in Dallas, Texas was the young woman that was selected for me based on my cats and time slot availability. I want to give a shoutout to her for helping me with a very unexpected event that happened while I was gone! It was 330am where I was and I ended up needing to call her because of it. I know I was very out of it and she was very patient with me and my half-awakeness. She handled the situation perfectly and I was able to relax knowing things at home were ok. This is exactly why you pay a pet sitter well - they're not just watching your pet, they're also watching your house. They have limits legally on what they can do, and understandably, but it was a relief knowing my situation was taken care of (it dealt both with one of my cats and the house - too long a story!). I will gladly recommend this company to my veterinarian, neighbors, friends, and anyone who asks me. Thanks The Comforted Kitty!
