Hollywood Feed is clutch. If they don't have the product, they're happy to help with alternative solutions. We've been coming here since our beloved pup's 'gotcha' day. At one point, we loved walking distance. Imagine the excitement on our dog's face every time we're remotely in the area. I mean, we were dining at the Whole Foods across the street and she started happy squealing. Staff is knowledgeable. I appreciate the 'carry to car' service on day's I'm replenishing her food. Our dog averages 60 lbs. They've a solid rewards program. Sign up! There's even a delivery service, if need be. I appreciate the multiple store locations. I always check out their call board - to see about it supporting the community. They'll list days for In-store Rescue Adoption. We've had successful finds on my dog's harness, treats (both bagged and recently dried), tools for camping, bathing and more! Plenty of parking on the side and in the retail lot. Happy fur babe trails! read more

I would like to share my disappointment in this store location today where my family & I have shopped for over 5yrs. I was racially profiled, lied on, police were called on me, I was harassed by other customers & called names, secret conversations with other store clerks who plotted against me I had no idea. I was an unexpecting customer shopping and did not deserve the treatment I got today. All for using a coupon they provided in store. I did my shopping as regular but upon checkout I was confronted by the new store manager (who already had an attitude an discussed what she would be doing before I even got to checkout) she tells me she will only allow 1 coupon a day for wet dog food. The back of the coupon clearly says 1 per transaction. She goes on to say that it was noted on my account once before that I was told this but she didn't know who told me or when this happened. I told her that I had never heard of using one coupon a day. She says that she also talked with the store associate prior to me checking out who said he also told me about using only 1 coupon (didn't say when). I said wow so why are you and staff having a conversation about me as I simply shopped what caused this level of concern? She explained she watched me as I shopped then had a Convo with other staff (profiling me).I expressed that I did not appreciate negative notations in the system about me nor the unwarranted secret conversation. Another customer comes up yelling at me telling me I should be ashamed of myself, the staff just work here, I did not belong there I should leave, calling me a Karen. I told the woman this has absolutely nothing to do with you and she should mind her business. She continued on and on wheeling negative comments and I told her I don't care this does not concern her. So miss new manager calls the POLICE over the coupon. I leave and tell her I will wait for the police in my car, the customer says "what are you trying to push up on me lady" "Are you trying to attack me". I said excuse me I'm leaving the building and waiting for police. So, at this point I have Staff attacking me...random customers attacking me and calling me names. While on the line the manger gives my racial profile, gives the make & model & license plate to my car asking police to come get me. Saying that I was attacking their customers and making them feel uncomfortable (because how dare you speak back & defend yourself) they are Superior to me I guess. I started recording because I was all alone an realized quickly that this had a huge racist undertone, so I needed proof. The manager then starts screaming that I was recording her and following her around to police. She locked me out of the store while I recorded, another race came to the door and she politely greeted him and let him in. I waited for a while and decided to contact corporate because this was beyond disrespectful, unprofessional, harassing, immoral, inhuman and need I say RACIST. I was humiliated and still in disbelief that this happened to me. I will NEVER shop here again after how this new manager (who should not manage anywhere) treated me. I was not valued at all as a customer. I have since took this matter up with corporate and look forward to speaking with the VP and Regional manager. All races should be respected & appreciated when you are giving them your hard-earned money. I believe people forget that it is loyal customers like me that provide the success that any store has an keeps the doors open. Calling the police with false claims is something I will never forget. Shame on you! read more

Love this location it is always clean and stocked! Sawyer is super friendly and I always have a great experience there

I love this location and all Hollywood feeds. For dog food they have a buy 10 get the 11th free program which ends up knocking off a few dollars per bag. The store is always clean and has excellent products on the floor, My dog loves roaming the store and we always make sure to pick out a bone for him. I love that the staff can bring their animals in and they are always so friendly. read more

The sales staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The selection is limited but the quality is excellent. Their return policy is generous.

The store customer service has really gone down. They don't like to make deliveries and leave you on hold, no call backs. They used to be great but last few months have not been good. read more

Service should get 7 stars. We're from out of town and stopped to get our puppy a toy before coming home. The resident toy expert asked us if we were looking for anything in particular. Another employee quipped with a big smile, "I overheard them saying they need the biggest dog toy in Texas." We laughed and said that's what we'd promised before we left. The attention to detail there was fantastic. We found a home decor sign up on top of a large display that was perfect for our Bassett. "I (heart) Wigglebutts" and it was the only one left in a hard to reach place. They said "no problem" and had it down quickly. To finish off our shopping experience, the cashier was chatting with us and and we said we were heading to dinner about 20 minutes away for Tex Mex we'd heard about online. She gave us a Tex-Mex restaurant recommendation down the street. We're sitting here eating better food than we'd hoped to find. We're from IN/KY area and there's nothing like this around us. Thanks!!!! read more

Very inviting and pleasant pet store. I went for grooming of my Great Pyrenees/ Anatolian Shepherd mix 7 month old puppy. Arial did an amazing job!! I am very happy and the price was amazing. Nikki, whom helped me with getting her a harness so we could use the seat belt to secure her, actually came to my car and did it for me! Wonderful experience and I will return. Thank you guys so much! read more

Much better than "pet supplies plus" in Arlington who would rather sell expired dog food and laugh like it's funny. This place actually cares. read more

They have a great selection of products. The people working there are great with the pets that come in. They have treats that our puppy love to shop for. read more

This place is like crack for people who spoil their pets. I took a bunch of photos to help you see how nice, clean, organized and packed full this place is. It's what you'd expect in Lakewood for sure and I'm sure it will do good business. I liked seeing a couple dogs behind the counter, I think more businesses should have an animal in the store... and I was overwhelmed by so much to chose from. They carry the Mississippi beds here and I love that company. American made products of quality. It's like a whole foods for your dog, love it read more

I usually don't do these reviews but I believe you should reward good customer service and quality work. I have enjoyed the very nice displays and high quality products. I have 4 dogs. Two are Chihuahua rescues and the other two are Silky Terriers. These two require a good grooming every 4-6 weeks. They have black toenails as do the Chihuahuas I come here for the great groomer, Kate Sulak. I wait until I can get my pups in to see her. Kate has been my dogs groomer for over 17 years. I have followed her from Petsmart to Southland and finally Hollywood Feed. She takes the time to do nails, anal glands etc. I will wait until she has an opening because she is worth it! She has shown me and my pups friendlines and quality professional work. She even sent me a card and a candle when my partner died. I cant say enough good about her and her work. read more

My wife and I are new to dog ownership, and the staff here has been absolutely wonderful helping us with our neurotic behavior (as well as our dog's)! They've walked us through a lot of different product options, accepted returns on any that didn't meet Lola's tastes, and even recommended home remedies rather than try to sell us on a product. I even brought our dog to the store today. She's very skittish around new people, but both people working knew the right away to approach her and make contact without triggering a single anxiety in either the dog or me. I've also done a lot of comparison shopping and found the prices to be comparable and even more affordable than some of their more well-known big box competitors. This is really the only store I want to go to for product and dog advice. read more

Everyone who has helped me in this store is nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. I really appreciate the opinions and options that they have given. The store has many different types of products for dogs (and cats), so one can compare and decide. I really appreciate your efforts! read more

Love this place! The staff is always super friendly and remembers me and my pets, and they have an amazing selection of food, treats, and toys for all of my animals. For my food allergic dogs, they are one of the few places with selected protein treats to complement most prescription hypoallergenic foods. For my young chewers, they have a wide selection of quality bully sticks and other treats that are worth the price they cost everywhere (bully sticks aren't cheap anywhere you go, but these are much bigger than average). They also are the go-to for raw and freeze-dried foods for you pet. Their prices on food are also very competitive, cheaper than what I see at the big chain stores. read more

One of the very few stores in Dallas that sells NutriSource and Pure Vita! I've been to two different locations and the staff is always extremely friendly when I walk in. We love supporting shops like this instead of PetSmart etc. because they sell healthy and clean dog food/supplies. Thank you Hollywood Feed! read more

Shannon is a superhero, everyone here is so nice and helpful I had a hard time finding the right diet for one of my Frenchy's that has bad allergies but they are really accommodating and helped me out a lot with food recommendations and gave me hassle free returns they go above and beyond at this location! Thanks guys! read more

I have come to this location ever since adopting my pup in October and have had the best experience ever! Not only have they been more than helpful with my questions on how to address certain dietary needs or treat habits but they have always been so kind to help me load my items in my car, they keep me up to date on sale items when I could have purchased something more expensive, and have replaced a harness that my pup decided was a toy. Their prices are fair and they are even willing to price match if you find something somewhere else cheaper!!! However, because of the level of service and care I have experienced every-time I enter the store I would be willing to pay regular price for whatever because this level of services is something you can not get through amazon. Plus, make it a fun trip with the pup and treat them with a cookie from the counter. My little loves the birthday cookies and wants to celebrate her b-day every time we walk in. So, we do! I am giving it one star because I cannot post a review with zero stars. On April 28.2018 I called to make a grooming appointment for my dog. I was told next available was on June 5 at 2 pm (over a month later). The morning of the appointment I called to reconfirm and asked if I could speak to the groomer. My little maltese is a puppy mill rescue and I did not want her to be caged for a long time before she was groomed. I was told to call at 1 pm to make sure groomer was running on time. I did and was told to come over. I got there on time. The man at the counter asked for immunization records, I produced them (they were issued in Mexico City since I commute between Mexico City and Dallas). When he started complaining, I explained to him that the vet records contain the vet's signature, date of vaccination/treatment, and the label (sticker of the vial) of the vaccine (which, by the way is in English). I also gave him the name and phone # of her vet in Dallas. He kept making a big deal out of it and, when I tried to explain the difference between vet records in Mexico and the U.S., he turned to me with a really nasty and arrogant attitude and said: "I don't care! We're in the U.S.!!". By the way, I am a white, US citizen (not that it matters). A nice young lady came and went over the records and said it was ok. I finally asked to talk to the groomer to tell her what I wanted, and this man (who, by the way, looks Hispanic -not that it matters-) led us, and said something to my dog... in Spanish!!! We get to the groomer and he tells her: "This is your 2 o'clock appointment" and she replies to him, very upset: "I hate it when you do this!! I'm very tired!! I can't see anything!! I need to take a break!!". I asked how long did she wanted me to wait and she said "3 or 4 hours"... really??? He offered to reschedule for the following Friday but, after the way I was treated, I said no. I cannot believe that you have to make an appointment over a month in advance only to get there and have them literally cancel the appointment. The groomer has all the right in the world to take a break if she is tired, but then they should not schedule one dog after the other. And, a 3-4 hour break? Seriously? I would never recommend this place, regardless of the positive reviews the groomer has (this was the only reason why I wanted to take my dog there). I have never had any problem with the dog's records with other groomers. The rudeness with which I was treated and lack of professionalism are simply unacceptable. read more

I love this pet store. Took my girl in to get her nails grinded ($15) then picked up some treats. My pups LOVE the lung beef tips. Grabbed a big bag for $30. Worth it! And I also redeemed the free biscuit here on yelp. Staff is definitely friendly! We will be back! read more

Kate the groomer at Hollywood Feed on Abrams is superb, but what recently happened to me there surprised and so disappointed me that I have to write a review. I brought my 4 1/2 month old puppy in for his first grooming and he is a handful no doubt it. I didn't expect to get a full groom but Kate spent a lot of time and he looked awesome. He is a biter and we all know how puppy teeth can hurt. She said it was super hard to groom him and we agreed he needs to come frequently to get used to being handled and not do a full grooming each time but work with him. After I set up the appointment I forgot to write it down and I called back and was told by the manager oh you have the Westie puppy, we are not going to groom him anymore. I was shocked and asked when were you planning on telling me this to which she had no answer she just kept referencing that she is the manager and discussed this (not with me she didn't) and he is a danger and needs to be socialized more...excuse me? This dog is 8 lbs and is 18 weeks old. Unbelievable and so disappointing from a customer service perspective. What a poor business practice. They have never been great on the business end but Kate was so awesome I put up with it. Kate is a 5 star but Hollywood Feed not going to happen for me. read more

The coolest pet store with a very welcoming atmosphere & staff! You'd expect the prices to be outrageous due to the pet boutique look & feel but they're actually insanely cheap! Great boutique for fur children. We love the selection, but were recently disappointed with the customer service there. Not going to bash them online, but we'll go to Pet Smart to get a much better price via our Pet Perks card for some canned dog food we previously ordered from them. You do get a free bag of food after you buy 12 - - but in doing the math, I'm still over paying. We questioned them about the price - - and while they did admit there was a price difference in our favor - - they didn't issue a credit.... read more

Some employees are born with a knack for customer service, others have to be taught. The two at the Abrams store fall into the later category. After two years as a customer at Hollywood Feed on Abrams Road, I returned 17 remaining cans of a 24 can case of dog food because my dog wouldn't eat it. After what seemed like an endless training session of the staffer by the manager to make sure that the difference in case price plus the remaining cans added up correctly the manager never looks up to check on her customer. Two false starts of that transaction and the manager finally looks up from the math lesson and is shocked that I'm losing it. Incredulously, she asked me what I think she should do about the problem. All I wanted her to know was that for her flat-footed response and $20, she let a good customer walk out the door and never come back. But that was OK with her, because Hollywood Feed didn't lose a penny on that transaction. Good job! I know your "Regional" would be proud of you. read more

I was freaking out about where I could take my dog to be groomed after his normal place cancelled at the last minute and didn't know when they would be able to reschedule. So I got on Yelp and found Hollywood Feed on Abrams. They were able to schedule the appointment for a little over a week after I called. I didn't even care what the price was going to be since we were desperate so I didn't bother to ask. Everyone was very nice when we came to drop him off. Kate took the time to ask exactly how I wanted him to look and looked at a past photo. When she called to tell me he was done she took the time to mention how he did since he was a bit stressed earlier. When I picked him up he looked exactly as I wanted and I was happy to learn that it was less expensive than our normal place. They also put a bow tie on his collar! Needless to say we will be back! P.S. I loved all the toys and treats at the store as well. read more
