Frozen, freeze dried, wet food, dry food, supplements and treats. The employees are very knowledgeable, and over the years they have helped me with suggestions for an older cat who had become extremely picky about food to a newly adopted pup who needed chew toys and treats. I was looking for a gift for my friend's pet, and the attendants did a great job personalizing and recommending a good gift. I ended up buying quite a few items and also a huge bag of puppy food. The store in itself is very clean, organized and has everything marked clearly. It was intuitive and didn't require much effort. I prefer that over confusing aisles and too much searching. This chain pet shop has a lot of items for cats and dogs. The store is located in a shopping center, so there is plenty of free parking in the shared lot. Inside, the store is clean and orderly with a fair amount of products to choose from. It isn't the biggest store and doesn't have the widest selection, but it has enough of a selection to be a convenient stop for your pet needs. The staff was friendly and asked what brought me in, so they were able to direct me to the specific location to reduce my search time. I found the prices to be competitive with other pet stores, but a bit higher than some of the big box places. Still, if you want more quality options, going smaller is a nice way to go. Family owned, quality products, large selection, and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. I am almost glad that they are not just around the corner from me as I would spend *way* too much money on the furbabies in here! They also have a wonderful rewards program, so make sure to sign up! I love the selection of fleece and jackets -- I have a picky, always chilly diva APBT who refuses to wear anything but their fleece. It's held up for almost 2 seasons despite sessions of WrestleMania and being washed as needed (gentle and hung to dry). I LOVE their gorgeous collars, too! As I said before, I love this place and will look for any excuse to head 20 minutes out of my way to visit when looking for quality pup goods. read more

The Carmel location has always been my go-to as it's close to other shops I frequent and typically has in stock everything I need for my pets. However, my last visit made me disappointed. I'm not usually one to ask for help, and needed some items only located on the top shelf that I could not reach. The staff was visibly aggravated with my request for help. I hoped it was a one off of staff having a bad day. But several other times I have gone in since, and needed some very minor help and been met with the same. Highly suggest skipping this location in favor of the Nora location! read more

My puppy got spayed today. I was a nervous wreck all day. As I was wasting time before I could pick her up, I wandered into PetPeople in hopes of finding some items that could speed up her healing process. I asked a woman named Natasha for help and LET ME TELL YOU... she is amazing. I was on the brink of tears from anxiety about the surgery & she showed me absolutely everything she could think of to get me and my girl through the recovery. I truly feel like God put her in my path today to help calm me down. She said she has 5 dogs of her own, and those are the correct people to be working in stores like this! Not only does she love animals, but she has personal experience and was able to truly relate to me. I'm so thankful for my encounter with her today!!! I highly recommend that you try shopping at PetPeople. They are super friendly, helpful, cheerful, and attentive. They offer really good customer loyalty program so that you aren't paying more. Staff is intelligent and genuinely eager to assist you in a helpful not annoying way. They carry your order to your car if heavy (litter, cans of food, etc.). You can order/pay online and pull up in front, call them, and they load your order in the back of your car. I had a question about cat treats, and a guy who works there was super knowledgeable about which to get and why, in a way I would never have received in the BIG pet stores (can't even find employees in there). read more

This location is in a strip mall off 146th, close to Handles Ice Cream. There is plenty of parking close to the shop, but not a lot of green space for pet relief. They allow leashed pets into the store and it's pretty common to see cute dogs walking around with their owners! The store is one of the bigger PetPeople locations I've been to, and they have a pretty good selection of food, treats and accessories. It's hard to not walk out with a new collar or toy every time because they have such cute options. What I love most about this location is that they have two dog baths available. It is only $12 for a bath and they have a frequent buyer card. You can bring your own shampoos if you want or they provide 4 options. Additionally they have plenty of towels and an air dryer. They even have aprons for the owners to help protect your clothes! Had to knock off a star, though, because they no longer carry my dog's food - Natural Balance Bison & Sweet Potato. They have other flavors of the brand and have the flavor in treats, but for some reason don't stock the food anymore. I appreciated that the lady working offered to give me samples of other bison products they have, but we aren't looking to change brands. read more

We've been stopping in this particular Pet People lately, mainly because they carry the specialized cat food that our cat's vet has recommended. Overall I've found their prices to be competitive with other similar stores, and they seem to have an abundance of edible items here (treats, food, etc.). If you need a great pet supply store to go to for your lovely fur kids, you've only gotta go up to 146th and stop by Pet People. I stopped in at the recommendation from a friend for an aging (although I refuse to admit that), puking kitty cat. She's been on multiple vet trips only to rule out all health issues and the summary to just be, she's getting older and sensitive to diet. The wonderful staff were able to advise me on the best kind of food to give my Betsy Lou Who suggesting we stay away from all carbs as it's hard for cats to digest. They also educated me on the most common cat protein allergens and suggested both a canned and dry food. They did not push any sales, only showed me the options. I probably kept the guy talking to me for at least 30 minutes. He was so patient and really gave me a lot of information. Plus he enrolled me in their rewards program and gave me some coupons. They also told me that if my cat didn't like the food or it didn't agree with her, I could bring it back for a full refund - even if the bag was open! They take returns to a local animal rescue and give it to them. I thought was wonderful to know they aren't thrown away. My most favorite recommendation was the raw goats milk. It's a natural probiotic and will help ease my cat's tummy and realign her digestive tract! Genius! Cats love milk anyways. It's been 4 days now, my cat loves the food and has not gotten sick once. This is my favorite place to buy treats for my puppy. You'll end up spending more here than a traditional pet store but the quality is well worth it. My pup and my cat are my world so making sure they get high quality treats means a lot to me. The staff is also so friendly. We went here while visiting my boyfriends parents just to pick up some food and ended up stopping in 3 or 4 times! They made a dog food recommendation and we are hooked! We told them about our dogs epilepsy and they made some really good suggestions! We bought all natural doggie bug spray, they had a great selection of dog toys and harnesses and I really had a hard time leaving! They even had a bulk treats section! We love this store! After YEARS of costly vet visits, Pet People solved my dog's problem. She has reflux and had been throwing up bile 3 to 4 mornings a week, and always seemed nauseated, uninterested in her food. She had been on omeprazole (prilosec) for about 2 years with very little improvement. The staff at Pet People introduced us to raw goat's milk about 8 months ago and it has been a miracle. My 13 year old dog is playing like a puppy again, and the vomiting has stopped!! She is hungry and excited about meal times again.
