Regardless of the reasoning, he refused to honor the listed shelf price and simply said, "It happens, it's not our fault." Actually, it is your fault . If you own and operate a business, accurate pricing falls on you. Customers should not have to double-check whether shelf prices are correct every time they shop. We ended up returning the item and bought the exact same part at the local auto parts store for significantly less. We proceed to scan all our stuff and then they send us to customer service and aiena had no clue in the world what she's doing for 25 minutes!! then she calls her "boss" Anna and she claims to us that the deal for the Milwaukee tools was an online only thing, when a literal Milwaukee rep and self check out had the discounts. So in the cust. Service Line she proceeds to take the 50 bucks off but doesn't give the discount on parts. So our total in self checkout was $377 mind you with the 50 bucks taken off. We ended up going back to self check out and getting THE SAME STUFF FOR $346!!!! And still no 50 bucks off. FUCKING RIDICULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I try to stop in whenever I get to Wautoma, as I think it is really crucial to the health and character of small towns that this type of business (historic building, locally owned, carefully stocked, excellent customer service) not only survive, but thrive. Despite the relatively small (compared to big box stores) footprint, I have always found what I have needed here, whether it be stovepipe, coolers, shovels, fishing gear, etc. This place has a really good feel to it. Although there is no parking on Main Street (Highway 21), there is parking next to the building, as well as in a lot just to the east, across the street.

They have the 11% Off everything in the store at least once a month & we always receive the rebate after sending it in. My husband & his family are very into interior home/exterior projects or repair & have gotten the majority of their supplies from Menards. I get all of our interior paints here. Our toddler & I usually go with to just look at all of the interesting tools, display patio furniture & lights ; the store is absolutely massive. We usually pick up large grocery items like washing detergent, dish/toilet paper, cleaning things & dog food while we're there. Lots of fun outdoor feeders, birdseed & suets for your yard year-round . We always get one of the fun treats/candy or drinks for the way home. The garden center at the start of summer is an absolute zoo. It's a lot of fun to see the large variety of plants & garden decor but it can be really hard to navigate in the chaos. Great for bulbs. Only things I'd point out is that the floor staff aren't usually that friendly & it can sometimes be hard to find help. Everyone at checkout is always really nice though. For kitchen design & appliances we decided to go with Home Depot. Otherwise, we get just about all of our home project supplies at Menards! So much joy here at Christmas. Definitely go in whenever the 11% rebate is out!

Every time I've gone in someone has greeted me and asked if I needed any help. This past Saturday I literally brought my TV with me because I can't find the proper screws for the base. A younger guy took the screw I had most recently purchased (my 3rd attempt), sized it and then took several attempts to find the correct screw. He was running in and out of the store to fit it on the TV (never ended up finding it). At one point another guy was helping us too. This type of service would NEVER happen at the big box stores or even most of the small-town stores. Very appreciative and will visit this store before I go into town to the big box store!
