    a half eaten donut
    Nick H.

Hollenbeck is a fantastic place to drop by. The foliage and scenery nearby is gorgeous, the donuts are fresh and fluffy, and the cider is honestly better than the vast majority of the cider you can by nearby. THE CIDER: freshly pressed in front of your eyes, and they'll take little cups of it to give out as samples as the cider is flowing. It's got a great balance of sweetness and tartness and tastes so fresh. Supermarket cider tastes stale and too sweet by comparison. THE DONUTS: when I went, there was only plain ones left but they're fried up beautifully. It's pretty cheap too! Hope to come back another time when they have more flavors Otherwise, they also have baked pies, cheese curds, fudge, and a ton of other great things for sale. All delicious and very fairly priced.

The apples a cider are the best and so close to my house. They're also great with the pies.

What a neat place. Great cider and who doesn't love fresh donuts. Would have been 5 stars if the accepted credit cards.

Super cute spot with lots of unique cider options and great cornbread/desserts!…read more We tried the Funkhouse, Sparkling Cab Franc, Fruit of the Bloom, and Persici (in order from dry to sweet). My favorites were the Fruit of the Bloom which is infused with ginger as well as the Funkhouse. I liked how crisp the funkhouse was and I loved the ginger note in fruit of the bloom. The others were okyay too, persici was very sweet but paired nicely with the ginger hazelnut baklava which was incredible! I am allergic to pistachios, so I loved that I could eat their baklava! We also tried the cornbread with strawberry and jalapeno butter- absolutely incredible. I am from the south and have had a lot of cornbread but this truly stands out. It came out warm with a slight crunch from the crust while maintaining the perfect crumb inside. Just crumbly enough and not too try! I also really enjoyed the jalapeno and strawberry butters- you can tell they use high quality butter, they almost reminded me of goat cheese. I preferred the jalapeno butter a tad more but both were great! The exterior is beautiful- the views are very nice. I would highly recommend coming on a warm day and sitting outside. We initially sat on the balcony but moved due to the bees. The tables underneath the white tent were shaded and bee-free. Service was pretty quick- our ciders came out almost immediately. We had to wait ~10-15 minutes for the cornbread though, but I didn't mind especially given it was warm! Overall, I would highly recommend!

For the cider flight, Funkhouse and Lake Hause Rosé are excellent plant-based picks, though vegans should note the Honeoye blend is made with honey. The staff is friendly and efficient, promptly managing the busy first-come, first-served crowd. Indoors, the space is cozy but tight, making it tough for large groups on rainy days. However, the sprawling outdoor seating (May-October) is fantastic, spacious, and fully wheelchair friendly. With its casual vibe and moderate price point, it's a stellar spot for a relaxed day date or a scenic group outing. Just roll up early since they don't take reservations!

I went inside to order a drink and some food and was passed by twice before the woman said she'd be with me. Another younger girl came over and asked if I wanted to order something. Odd questions since I'd been standing there looking at the menu that was on the bar as well as looking at the beers they had listed on the board. I ordered a wheat blonde beer and told her I also wanted to place a food order. She told me I couldn't do that there, and said I needed to order from the food truck table. That table had a chalkboard with their three specials, different items than the bar menu so I ordered off of that, was given a pager and headed outside (The food truck girl was very kind and asked where I was sitting but I hadn't picked a table yet) I ordered a cauliflower margarita pizza which was just the right size to pair with my beer. It came out quick and hot and tasted good. I sat at my table eating alone and enjoying the music but found that that's what everyone was doing. Sitting at their own tables. Enjoying the music or conversing amongst themselves but keeping to themselves. For a brewery with live music on a sunny Saturday afternoon it was just ok.

The traditional honey mead had a beautiful, light honey flavor with a little alcoholic kick. I might not drink this straight, but I could think of many ways to blend that beautiful honey flavor into drinks. Then we tried the mead blended into fruit wine. I liked the raspberry blend but blueberry was my favorite. The very clear taste of the fruit was beautiful with the honey notes and you knew it wasn't just a juice drink..the alcohol was there as well. The ciders were a nice surprise taste wise. I'm not a big cider fan, but when I tasted the gold medal winning Strawberry and crisp apple cider it was a win for me. The single fruit choices of all these were selections were wonderful.... sometimes the blending of different fruits leaves to confused tastes for me. Our bartender was very nice and friendly and helpful. It also has a winery Torrey Ridge in the same facility.
