On top of this, when, at the end of the evaluation, I told the PT that my schedule would not permit me to follow the treatment plan she suggested, she completely dismissed this concern, instead insisting that I figure out a way--which made the entire visit completely useless, since she seemed only to want to suggest a treatment that was impossible. On top of THAT, it turns out that many PTs advise against icing an Achilles heel, and indeed, that $640 ice pack only worsened the pain by stiffening the tendon. Not only a useless waste of time and money, but actively harmful. Do NOT go here.

He explains what he's doing without a hint of condescension or needless jargon. He is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (and holds other certificates and degrees besides), so I was lucky to receive a friend's recommendation that I see him. My luck continued with my relationship with the front office, and especially with Cherrise, who always ensures that everyone has their appointments scheduled and is also well-informed about insurance companies and helped me decipher some cryptic messages from mine. All in all, a five-star operation.

There was an issue with my insurance, according to them, and I advised that I called Aetna myself, and everything was in order. I called and sent text messages several times, and the matter was never resolved. As of today, I am still waiting for a call back from their insurance department. I called on Monday, and today is Thursday, and still no response from the office. I am in pain and desperately need to start rehab on my knee, and this is very disappointing. Fortunately, I found a better rehab center, but the downside is that it is more than an hour away from my home. This office was right in my community, but their handling of this situation was definitely a red flag. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

Upon arrival, I was told that Dr Simranpreet Kaur was no longer employed at Hands of Hope. This was a bit upsetting but I was told that another Dr. Marina Bekhet was available. I decided since I was already there I would give it a try. My best decision, Dr. Marina was very professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable. After our talk she performed physical therapy and explained what was happening and how I could help in the session. I was pleased to have her exclusively to my needs until more clients arrived; yet she had Chelsea? her assistant check on me to assure I was doing exercises correctly and both asked me if I needed anything, was in pain or if I had any questions. Although, it's not close for me, It was a wonderful experience and so, I booked another app't. I am so glad that I didn't leave and that I worked with the staff. Things can only get better, I can see 5 stars coming in my next update.

Every so often in life, we receive exactly what we need at the exact time we need it. Not feeling…read morelike myself for quite some time now, I decided to step out of my everyday busy environment and schedule an appointment with Nick. This meant driving to Brooklyn from my business which is on Long Island. Having seen some videos and stories on Nick's page, I could actually feel the healing and genuinely compassionate energy that Nick has coming through. As a Massage Therapist myself, it is sometimes difficult to find someone who can truly connect with your needs and can provide a treatment based on them. So many therapists just go through the technical motions without any intention or true involvement in the healing process. Nick is the real deal. The moment you meet him you can feel his true care and concern for your well being. His skill level and knowledge of the body is incredible and is enhanced by his ability to intuitively connect with your energy and let that guide the treatment. Generally, when I receive treatments from other therapists, they range between the pressure being so light that I feel frustrated at the lack of effort, and being so aggressively painful that it feels the therapist is trying to prove something to his/her self. My treatment from Nick was a perfect balance of effectiveness, relaxation, respect, trust, and results. True bodywork. I felt energetically calm and physically relieved. Exactly what a busy, stressed out and in emotional and physical pain guy needed. So, my gentle suggestion to anyone reading this is to schedule a session for yourself with Nick. You will be grateful and feeling better. I know I am. Thank you Nick. Your treatments will now be an important part of my self care. Thank you.

She was a great listener and adapted the exercises as time went by, always mindful of how I was feeling that week. All of my interactions with Spear staff (e.g., checking in at front desk, working with other providers in Fraidy's absence) were positive and professional. Highly recommend this practice to all and would return if needed!

I arrived at exactly 9:05 for my appointment today, paid my co-pay, and sat in the waiting area as instructed. After 15 minutes of sitting right in front of the desk, I received an automated email stating I was a "no-show." When I flagged this, the receptionist tried to claim I was "late" and that my therapist, Anushka, needed to reschedule me. This is completely false. I was on time and waiting in the lobby the entire time. To make matters worse, they then suggested I could still be seen 20 minutes into my time slot, which is totally unacceptable and unfair to any patient. I am 32 weeks pregnant and do not have the energy to deal with this kind of run-around. Between the clerical errors and the attempt to blame the patient for their own mistake, I will not be returning. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time and expect basic professional courtesy.
