I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff was friendly and helpful from the time we checked in. We could tell the lobby that the hotel was clean and spotless and I was going to love staying here. Our room was spacious, spotless and super cozy. The office space was large and full of places to charge all of my devices as well as set up my laptop. The work out room was well equipped with all kinds of treadmills and bikes as well as freeweights. The pool was warm and clean and very inviting. After a great night's sleep in a comfy bed I went downstairs to enjoy a delicious complimentary breakfast of eggs, toast, sausage and Rasinbran. They had a ton of options including oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, granola and all kinds of stuff. The hotel location is great with pleanty of shopping and restaurants near by, even walking distance. I highly recommend this place if your ever in the area and need a great room! read more

This hotel is clean and provides bed making service for each night of the stay. Most guests are here for work and keep to themselves. Breakfast is standard and the employees are friendly and say good morning, which is very nice. Unfortunately, the pool was out of service for my whole stay and that was an inconvenience. A very nice hotel! Great location, friendly and helpful staff, big rooms with fridge and microwave, awesome breakfast with lots of great choices! I love that the bathroom has dispensers of everything you could need, hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. All Dove products which I really liked! Only 2 things made it shy of 5 stars. The bathroom although nice and clean has a very small shower stall, you don't even have room to shave your legs. Also when I went to get ice the room did not smell good at all! I would stay there again though cause overall a very nice hotel! read more

I haven't even stayed here and am giving them a 5. Want to know why? We had a reservation for NYE to let the kids go swimming. Their pool was closed for whatever reason. And, instead of just letting us check in, they called several days beforehand to notify us that this was the case. Super grateful because we, especially the kids, would have been very upset. Ok. First of all this is NOT a Hampton Inn. It IS a Holiday Inn Express. Maybe it changed over at some point. Nice room, good bed, good facilities. Overall good hotel. Good location, right downtown. Checked in yesterday, Sunday afternoon. Asked the manager who checked us in if there were any close non-chain restaurant/bars to eat and have a few drinks. I was told 'not really, it is Sunday and most places are closed'. I pushed back on this a bit, and he did find a arcade/bowling alley place a mile or so away (Good Times of Olean) that was open. And Applebee's a few miles away. I asked about the Irish pub we passed coming in that looked open, Talty's. The response 'they are closed in Sunday's'. So. We had spent several hours driving and needed to stretch out legs. We went for a walk. Within a 10 minute walk from the hotel, including a place right next door to the hotel we passed at least 6 open establishments of varying genre's, all of which served adult beverages and at least 5 also served food. Including TALTY's! An excellent spot btw with a nice coal burning stove warming the bar. 2 of these establishments even had large signs posted out front stating 'Every Game Every Sunday'. So. I will post here pics of a few of the open places downtown Olean NY on Sunday. I recommend the management of the HIE reach out to these businesses. Be a community team player. Needless to say the ones I spoke with were a tad put out. Especially the guy next door (The Broken Wing Pizzeria and Grill). read more

I think this is the only big hotel chain in the area. I liked that it had USB plug ins next to the bed. Very handicapped accessible hotel. Was excited for an indoor heated pool - but would have preferred a hot tub. The pool's floor didn't seem all that clean though. The rooms and bathrooms were nice - comfy bed. I had to pull a small dresser out to find a plug and there was a lot of old food and junk there. I think cleaning staff should get behind those spots. read more

I had a very nice stay here on a business trip. I really didn't have much to do on my solo trip to Olean so I ended up staying at the hotel for the evening and catching up on work and TV and eating delivery from El Mariachi, the Mexican place down the road. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and nice to chat with. I was really happy that they offered me free water bottles when I checked in and out. It's little things like this that make a difference, for me. The bed was comfy and the room was nice. The free breakfast was good, a standard continental. The hotel has a nice looking pool that I didn't get a chance to use. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm back in Olean. read more

This Hampton Inn was a welcome site. I had just ridden 500 miles on my motorcycle and it was starting to rain. I had a reservation and was checked in rather quickly. They also let me keep my bike under the overhang out front to protect it from the weather. The rooms had nice LCD tvs, but the bed was the least comfortable bed I have ever slept in for a Hampton Inn. It was still fine, as I was so exhausted, it really didn't matter. I passed out for 9 hours. Given the other options in town, if you are passing through, this is your best bet read more

I have stay at a lot of Hampton Inns traveling for business. This is the shabbiest location I have stayed at. It could definitely use an upgrade! The toilet was testy, you need to hold the flusher down for a very long time to get it to work. The shower was either scalding or freezing, very difficult to find that perfect spot to get the right temperature. The oddest issue? No "do not disturb" sign. I typically stay in hotels for 3-4 day spans and would prefer not to have a maid in every day. I didn't have the option at this location, as I had no way to signal that I didn't need service. I will definitely return because I love racking up Hilton Honors points, and compared to most hotels, this one is perfectly fine. I just wish it matched the quality of the other locations. read more

Nice, clean, modern hotel. Friendly staff. Room and bathroom was clean and well lit, with plenty of charging stations for your devices. Wasn't a fan of the family walking barefoot in the lobby, but this is Olean, and this isn't an Intercontinental. Will stay again when we visit Olean. Go Bonas! read more

This place is an excellent chain hotel. Generous breakfast as well as water/coffee/snackbar at other times. The best part was that the manager on Sunday afternoon August 16th allowed us to use a shower in a vacant room after we had already checked out. We were in town for a 3 on 3 basketball tournament that ended on Sunday around 2. We asked to use a shower because we had a 2 hr car ride home and were exhausted/dirty. They understand the meaning of hospitality. I will always come back to this place when I'm in Olean. read more

The hotel completely clean and adequate. Travel for my job and this hotel is right up there. What really stood out and why the 5 stars was the staff. Coming back to hotel after two weeks abscence they remembered my name. Had to check out under stressful circumstances: Cindy at front desk accommodated my ability to stay a couple of extra nights even though hotel was completely booked. Left something valuable in hotel and staff were beyond professional and conscientious in returning it to me. Have stayed in hotels all over the US of comparable quality but never felt more cared for than by this hotel staff. That makes a huge difference. read more

Okay hotel. Question what the branding is on this place. We booked online a HAMPTON. Google maps brought us to the front door of holiday inn express, so strange as I always check reviews on Trip Advisor and no one mentioned the hotel identity issue.... Sure enough we were at the hybrid... They are converting to a Hampton. Our room was new and hamptonish. We were awoken by housekeeping at 9 trying to barge in the room. Our fault since we didn't put the DND on the door but nonetheless...but the staff was busy unpacking sheets and towels and stocking the rooms near ours . Boxes everywhere all over the hallways. We love Hampton, this was a real disappointment. I do give a shout out to the kind and happy woman who checked us in Saturday evening. Our kids used the pool, and it was hotter than Hades in the pool room, there were chairs outside overlooking the dumpster. So overall just not the quality we are accustomed to with Hampton! read more

This was a clean and welcoming hotel for our family after a long day of travel. The next morning, we ate their breakfast which had a surprising number of healthy options, along with the normal breakfast indulgences. The owner greeted our family warmly, giving our children small gift bags of toys and informing us of various local attractions. The remodeled appearance along with the friendly staff made this the place definitely worth remembering to stop by again. read more
