We were only in for a night and expectations were mild as we basically just needed a place to sleep. Overall, they hit the minimums and exceeded in some areas. Check-in was a breeze, as was check-out. They are able to offer limited late check-outs of an extra hour, which was extremely helpful in our case. Breakfast is included and starts early enough that we could grab some stuff ahead of our race. The hotel has gone through some efforts to modernize itself. There is some newer décor and you can tell parts have been updated. That being said, while it general looks good, they missed on some minor details (like they appear to have redone a lot of the bathrooms, there are still spots of missing caulk around the tubs). Still, the beds were nice and sheets clean. As I was only in a night, I cannot comment on the pool or other features like the restaurant. I cannot say if/when I'd be back in Bradford, but would certainly stay again if I was to return.

The rooms weren't cleaned, I had a clogged tub due to a lot of hair and my bedding had a lot of hair in it as well. I requested another room and they gave me one. I spoke with another gentleman at the lounge area, he stated they don't really do a good job at cleaning at this location. Happy Yelping

OYO translates to "Cecil lite"…read more This place advertises like a modern hotel would but lacks on follow thru. There is NO air conditioning, TV was inoperable (no remote or way to scan for channels), missing smoke detector.... isn't that a violation? I also found a beer can someone was previously using to ash in. I did request a non smoking room but it was apparent someone had been smoking. The walls are thin so you'll hear your neighbor and be able to catch a wiff of whatever they're smoking. The bed was okay however you'll need the window open for air which also brings in constant traffic noise at all hours. I chose to stay because of the history of the building more so and didn't expect much as far as lodging amenities. There were a few sketchy characters I encountered. I don't recommend a long term stay here and being aware of your surroundings. Bathroom was a bit scary - mostly original and frankly a pain in the ass. The sink has prison-like faucets as if we can't be trusted to turn the water off. A picture is worth a 1000 words but trust me - you don't want to see pictures. The elevator seemed cool but was only for "staff and maintenance" so probably not that safe to use for the gen pop. All in all this isn't the best choice. 1 star because I wasn't murdered, raped, robbed, or assaulted (STM reference).

We never stayed in a B&B before. I usually stay in hotels, so this was a good experience if you…read morehave a reason to be in the Bradford area. We were using this area to check out the Allegany National Forest and a rest point en route to Niagara Falls. Bob and Carolyn are very nice and accommodating. They offer red/white wines at night between a few hours and serve breakfast in the morning. You pick what you want at checkin and and if you're staying multiple nights, you pick what you want at the end of breakfast for the next day. Lots of bread options. A downside is they don't offer fruits, except the juice which tastes fresh. Breakfast is served between 7-9 so late sleepers may need to adjust. You need to pick the exact start time though. The inn itself has many rooms and each have a private bath. We looked at the majority of them. The second floor rooms reminded me of a frilly dolly house look. They also had tons of bunny decorations for pre-Easter. I thought they were cute. No religious decor. They have queen beds and king beds. I recommend splurging the extra $10 for a king room. We switched our room from a room directly under the innkeepers, who stay on the third floor, (where we were put initially) to the "man" room on the first floor which was very big and had lots of windows and a fireplace. They even had complimentary bathrobes and some toiletries. There was enough space to layout our own toiletries and even a suitcase rack. There was only a small dresser and some hooks so if you had lots of clothes to hang and put away you'd want an additional arrangement. The bed is very comfortable and so were the pillows. The made our bed and changed our towels daily. The house was made in the late 1800s so it creeks. We were the only people there at time of stay so not sure how well you may hear others but I think sound travels well. The house and decor aren't modern but probably in line with the rest of the town judging by the restaurants. There is some general wear and tear you'll see but nothing significant. I wouldn't necessarily advertise this place as romantic or family friendly. More just for business travelers or couples with an agenda. There are games to play and some free snacks and drinks on the second floor. Bob will talk to you a few times if you're around so it doesn't feel like an anonymous vacation. He knows a lot about the area and the history. It kind of felt like we were staying at a distant cousin's or uncle's place more so than a hotel. We even told them when we were leaving for the afternoon or for dinner. We probably didn't have to, though. One odd thing is that there are signs all around telling you to do things like turn off the heater if you're sleeping or turn on the fan if you're showering. One sign they really should have is be careful of the middle foot on the couch because we stubbed our toes numerous times and it hurt like holy hell. Just a tip, if you're on the lower level you can easily hear sounds of cars on the road, even stereos. Usually not a problem later at night but it may wake you in the morning. The most renovated room is the quietest though but we didn't see that one since a guest was in it the first night we were there. It's a king room too. So overall I was happy here but not sure if the B&B style is really our thing.

The proprietors are a super friendly (maybe even a touch chatty for my taste, though that might have been the novelty of bringing my chatty four-year-old) retiree couple with an all-American, mildly kitschy taste in decor but a great eye for the kind of details that comfort weary travelers: a well-stocked complimentary snack bar and mini-fridge, a nice set of toiletries, a roll-top desk accompanied by a quirky set of recent magazines. We stayed in the Trieste room, and the window air con was little noisy and vibratey but fortunately it was cool enough outside to open the windows once we got the temp down to a sleepy place. The breakfast options were thoughtful and served quite elegantly. The creaky floors, spiral staircase and overall turn of the century vibe makes for a charming, calming and lovely getaway space -- I only wish we had more than one night to take advantage of the book-filled sitting room (with plenty of historical materials about the area) or even just chill on the porch swing. Next time.

I am a long-time member of the Choice Privileges network, and pick a hotel in that chain when possible to accumulate points. So that led us to this Quality Inn. We have stayed here before, but it has probably been a decade-plus. Last time this was a Comfort Inn, which has since been demoted to a Quality. But honestly, I thought this Quality was just as nice, if not nicer than some Comfort's. I booked a King hot tub room on the Choice website. The listing gave me the impression that it was a single room with a big jetted tub. But to our chagrin, when we opened the door it was a two-plus room suite! The bedroom had the King and the large jetted tub, which worked great. The attached room had TWO full couches, and a desk space. Both rooms had a TV. The entry hallway had a sizable wet bar. Plus there was a nice full bathroom with a larger tub. The room was bright, clean and comfortable. And this huge wonderful suite was A STEAL of A DEAL! I used my union discount, and paid just $79 (plus tax) a night on the weekend! Even without the discount, the room was still listed under $100 per night (this was late April). We've stayed at our fair share of Choice Hotel hot tub rooms over the years, and this was an excellent price for much more quality than we expected! The hotel is undergoing some renovation, which I hope doesn't ultimately jack up the price too much. Our room and much of the hallways had new carpet. And they are removing the pool area, and putting in efficiency apartments for their regular longer-term tenants who are working in the area. Really all of the shared spaces seemed fairly face-lifted and fresh. My husband indulged in the morning breakfast buffet, which was back to the pre-COVID spread. There were some hot items, like eggs and breakfast meats. And the waffle makers were back in operation. He was particularly stoked when on Sunday AM they served biscuits and gravy, his fave hotel breakfast offering. The usual additional continental options like breads, cereals, pastries, yogurts, and fruits were also available. The breakfast space was clean and comfortable. This Quality is in an excellent location for a peaceful, relaxing weekend in quaint little Bradford, PA. We parked the car on Friday (they have an easy and ample lot), and didn't drive again until we checked out on Sunday. You can walk to several restaurants and shops in the historic downtown area. The movie theater is a short walk away, too. You can also walk to the Zippo Museum and the Marilyn Horne Museum, both of which are free admission. Walking to the Uni-Mart convenient store and Tops groceries are minutes away too. Everything was within about a fifteen minute or less or so stroll, with tons of beautiful late-19th-century architecture along the way. There is food and fun for a couple, a family, or a solo traveler. And this hotel is pet friendly, so for Fido or Felix, too! ;-) A special note to my 716-area WNY Yelp friends--Bradford, PA is an excellent sneak-away getaway destination! Really! Who knew?! Well, I grew up not far from here. So I knew, haha. But I'm spreading the word to you, my fellow WNY Yelpers, ha! It is about an hour and twenty minutes drive from Buffalo, far enough that you feel like you are going somewhere without having to go too far. The affordability of this hotel, the good restaurants a short walk away, and the quick drive to some natural adventures (like Kinzau Dam State Park or Griffis Sculpture Park on the way home), make Bradford a quirky but still solid option to escape life for a couple days! Overall we had a fantastic stay at this Quality Inn & Suites. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was sizable, clean and comfortable, and an excellent price. And the location, believe it or not, has a lot to offer for relaxation and fun! We will surely be back again to unwind and continue to explore adorable and historic Bradford PA. Thanks for the great stay! :-D

So we flew from LAX to Buffalo, NY, which allowed us to visit Niagara Falls (stunning) and then take a quick drive south to Bradford, PA (home of Zippo lighters). The first thing one notices when entering this part of Pennsylvania is how well-kept the homes and farms are. And when you turn onto the access road to the Glendorn Lodge, you see their farm-to-table patch of a vegetable farm. Once through the gate, the drive is a couple of miles to the main lodge and check-in. The staff are so wonderful and polite, calling us by our last names, which is very formal but a nice touch! Our home, cabin, was lovely beyond description. The master bedroom was stunning, the screened-in porch was perfect for 10 to 12 people hanging out (ideal for a family reunion), and we had an outdoor fireplace/pit blazing and roasting marshmallows for the kids. The next morning, we rode bicycles that you keep at your cabin home. We went out on a small lake with paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, etc. We also played volleyball and had lunch catered and delivered to the lake - fantastic service. The next day we played tennis, swam, basketball and even shot skeet! As our time at Glendorn came to a close, we reflected on the unparalleled service and the deep sense of relaxation we experienced throughout our stay. The staff truly went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was perfect, and their personalized approach made us feel like cherished guests rather than just visitors. To cap off our trip, we took a leisurely drive back toward Buffalo, savoring the memories of Niagara Falls and our time at the resort. We left Glendorn with our spirits lifted, ready to cherish the beauty of nature and the luxury of wonderful hospitality. If you ever find yourself in the northwest corner of Pennsylvania, I highly recommend Glendorn for an unforgettable retreat. It's a hidden gem that beautifully combines nature, comfort, and top-notch service!

The pillows are half-fluffy, the beds are half-rocks (I've legitimately slept on harder) and the continental breakfast is sparse. By sparse I mean there's one or two bagels, a few mini-muffins, and straight-up off brand wonder bread in the pastry tray. Water and orange juice (no apple), two mostly empty cereal containers (frosted flakes and cheerios), and the milk is served in an uniced pitcher. The future owner (desk clerk) who checked us in wouldn't let us pay for two nights in case we "had an emergency because he doesn't want to mess with refunds" and then he reminded me sternly to leave the door key because each lost one costs him .50c. The outer appearance of the place isn't clean, but I think it's mostly because it's old. The rooms themselves are immaculate. Don't bother asking for new sheets daily though, they get kinda cranky about that. Basically it feels like the whole place is being run by Scrooge McDuck on a shoe-string budget. The desk clerk guy lives here, and I'm willing to bet the one cleaning staff does too. All in all its not a bad place to stop for a night, but I wouldn't do an extended stay here.
