We checked into this hotel Monday the June 1. 2026. We all get to our rooms and the direct tv is out. You would think that they would have said something when checking in. I go to front desk girl in front desk told me it's been out since yesterday. I asked again this morning and told me it's the owners problem to fix. Makes you think they haven't paid their bill. Work all day and can't even watch tv to relax. No answers to problem. They take your money but can't provide all the services. read more

This Holiday Inn Express in Lompoc was one of the more pleasant HIE hotels that we've stayed at. What made it nicer was the staff. The customer service was exemplary from the gentleman who checked us in to the staff preparing the food for breakfast. We wanted to see Solvang at Christmas, but the hotel rates were so high in Solvang. Lompoc is less than 30 minutes away, and the rate we received from this HIE was very reasonable. The location was convenient and safe while we were there. The hotel was very clean. Our room was fine, comfortable, and roomy. We got a good night's sleep both evenings that we spent here. Breakfast is included with the stay, and it made for a terrific start to each day. Always happy when they have those yummy cinnamon rolls available. Chances of staying at this Holiday Inn Express again are very good, if we are ever in the area again. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights with 2 rooms during 4th of July weekend for the first time, it was the best decision. Customer service had been great from check in to check out. All front desk staffs were friendly and patient. They even gave my daughter some gifts to play with. Great breakfast was available from 6-9:30am. They offered hot food like pancakes, sausages, eggs and usual cereal, milk, boiled eggs, coffee, and hot tea. They had a clean decent sized pool with clean towels available. Also had a small warm pool inside; pool hours was 8am to 10pm which was Amazon. Clean room, comfortable beds that we had no problem sleeping through the nights. They offered Dove brand hand wash, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. This was our second time staying and will definitely return again when we visit the area next time. I had a GREAT stay at this hotel! If I'm honest, I'm a bit of a hotel snob and am loyal to a particular brand, so when I found out rooms were booked here I was less than excited. Boy, did this hotel prove me wrong! My room was clean and the temperature control was great. The hotel is centrally located with several restaurants and shops within walking distance. We had wonderful meals the entire time there. Continental breakfast is offered and coffee and hot tea all day, which is great! What made it an epic experience experience though was Jenny at the front desk! She is AMAZZZZZIIIINNNGGGGG!!!!!! I promised her I would shout her out and she quipped back "you better" so here you are! If I'm ever in the area again, I wouldn't mind another stay. Thank you for a wonderful trip. read more

The room was very large and had a lot of places, other than the bed, to sit. The staff was very professional. They even called to make sure our room met our expectations. A great place and budget friendly. Stayed here for a night. The place is clean and well maintained. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous. The support staff were attentive to the details. The breakfast options were reasonable and was constantly being refilled. The food was pre-made but was warmed and served. The front desk staff followed up with a call after checkin to make sure we found the room satisfactory and had no issues. This was nice. Breakfast buffet you have food amount of options starts at 6:30am to 9:30am. Coffee is available around the day. The room also has a Kureing coffee maker with pods. The TV has good amount of channel options. The bathroom was clean. The only negative is the commode has air flush system similar to what they have in planes that make a noise during flush. If you are a light sleeper and if your partner or kids use the flush that will wake you up for sure. For us that wasn't a problem read more

I've stayed at a number of Holiday Inn Express locations, and this is probably the worst one I've been to. There's a certain bar that I expect from a Holiday Inn Express and this specific location does not meet that bar. It's basically a glorified motel that looks more like the Motel 6 next door than a standard Holiday Inn Express. The bare minimum I expect from any hotel is a clean room and this room wasn't clean. Stains all over, the carpet had a handful of stains, the bathroom vanity was stained, there was a booger on the wall next to the bed, there was a half roll of toilet paper left behind from the last guest. The list just goes on and on. The floor was strangely uneven. The carpet felt like it was just put on top of an old carpet. The TV remote didn't work. We were stuck watching one channel. The breakfast room was tiny. It was packed on the weekend, there was nowhere to sit at 7am. Far too small for the size of the hotel. The one thing I did like about the breakfast was the perfectly cooked bacon. Crispy but not burnt. And not the limp noodle bacon you see sometimes. We had dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn down the street and it looked much better. If you have to stay in Lompoc, pick a better hotel. read more

This hotel is a bit awkward. There are two separated buildings, and only stairs on one side of the building and an elevator on the other. The main building where the reception is, is where the breakfast, laundry facilities and pool are. The other building doesn't really have much except for rooms and may be an ice machine. The rooms are quieter in the back building. It is in a very busy part of town with several fast food restaurants nearby. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk seemed as if she couldn't get rid of me fast enough. Offering no extra information except that my room was in the other building, and the elevator was on one side of the building, she sent me on my way with many questions. I've been on the road for a week so I needed to do laundry. It is $2.25 to Wash and $1.75 to dry. There are no vending machines for detergent or fabric softener. And you need lots of quarters. The room is clean and has all of the expected amenities. My only complaint so far is that there is no fan that will run all night. It will go on and off as the temperature changes. I don't think I would stay here again only because there are lots of better options in the area. There is a hotel down the street with the best restaurant in town according to yelp. That is where I would stay next time. read more

We were greeted with smiles and attention by two of the sweetest ladies: Candice and Terri. Not only did they offer us places to locally eat, but after I explained that it was our first time visiting, Candice gifted us two beautiful Lompoc themed coffee mugs. As recognized Diamond Elite members, this random act of kindness is the reason why people should be acknowledged and appreciated for going over and beyond. Candice made our stay very comfortable by changing our room location, so we didn't have to be across the hall from the loud cries of a baby. Terri stopped her end of the year paperwork that she was doing and gave me a quick tour of the breakfast area. Our room was spacious, our bedding was clean, and I really enjoyed the cocoon-shaped showers.  Be forewarned that the structure of the hotel is run like an apartment complex, sectioned off by a different letter system. It's pretty tight when you initially pull up to the front door to check in at the front desk, as you share an adjacent parking lot with a restaurant next door. Once you leave the check in desk with your room key and drive to your assigned section, there's ample parking, well placed outside lights, and the key cards to operate the entry doors and elevators which adds a bit more safety and security.  If you're a movie lover like myself, you'll be glad to know that they have multiple HBO channels to choose from and enjoy. Lompoc is a small town, but I enjoyed the big hospitality of my overnight stay. Holiday Inn Lompoc is DEFINITELY LUGG APPROVED! read more

We were very satisfied with our4 night stay here. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel and rooms clean and well maintained. The soft and firm pillows a nice touch to make sure everyone is comfortable. Free coffee & tea 24/7 as well as breakfast which was simple, fruit, yogurt, waffles etc. Pool and spa were clean and heated, gym was sufficient and up-to-date. Lompoc isn't really a garden-spot or vacation destination, but if you absolutely have to be there for some reason, this is probably one of only three places in in the city that you'd ever want to spend the night. It's clean, well managed, has a small outdoor pool and hot tub right next to the highway/main road, and offers wifi, free parking, a decent free breakfast and coin-operated washer/dryers. It's also in close proximity/walking distance to a number of fast-food restaurants and directly across the street from a grocery store and a liquor store. Not a place to hang around outside late in the evening (especially Friday/Saturday nights) due to gang activity, but during the day you're probably fine. read more

3.5 Had to make a quick trip to Lompoc for a family funeral. I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn over 2 other "suites" hotels because I did not need excessive room area since I was sharing & traveling with my daughter. I did treat us to a room with 2 queen size beds - which I wanted to take home. The room was very spacious and there was an small alcove area with a upholstery lounge chair, microwave, mini refrigerator, pod coffee maker with coffee & teas (which we did not use). The iron & ironing board worked well & much needed. The one closet was adequate for us but probably should have a second one if one has several items to hang. I so enjoyed the spaciousness of the room & the comfortable queen size bed. For all our electronics there were adequate outlets as well. My daughter washed her hair and used the room's blow dryer. The sink area worked except if someone was coming into the room that section can clearly be seen when the door opened. The heating thermostat allowed us to warm the room to our liking. The shower was also spacious and the shower head height would do well for a 6'5" or more man as well. The shower water was warm enough but not hot. This area also has the toilet and a door to close off for total privacy from the sink/counter/mirror alcove. I am not a stickler for in depth cleaning (my friend Gail M. Jones does that) but everything LOOKED clean & sanitizer. Parking was free and right next to our room building. There is a FREE breakfast that was offered in a room off from the lobby. I went for bagels & cream cheese and had 2 cups of OJ, an egg cheese omelette (skip it),pork sausages and coffee There is a Starbucks directly across the street but truthfully HOLIDAY INN really NEEDS to up their coffee game to at least basic restaurant standards. I stayed there long enough to taste the cinnamon buns (so-so) that were offered while trying to drink the coffee. The free breakfast had some hits & misses but I was adequately full enough until dinner. The staff was pleasant and allowed me to add an extra day with my Senior discount included. This is my 3rd Holiday Inn reservation and the others were for out of town family members. If I needed such accommodation I would probably use them again. read more

Absolutely amazing place, the room was clean and very comfortable. I felt very welcome the moment i went into the lobby. They also give a baggie of breakfast food and coffee free with your stay! This hotel is very close to everything! So if you forgot something or want to go eat then its right there for you! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area! read more

With SUPER full tummies we headed north about 30 minutes from Solvang to our hotel, the Holiday Inn Express Lompoc where we would turn in for the night.  This hotel is nothing fancy, but clean and safe which is what we find important.  The rooms are large, parking is plentiful and everything including food, gas and a supermarket are in very close proximity. The customer service is amazing, and the prices aren't too bad either. We have stayed here twice now, and would definitely stay here again. read more

"What brings you here on this bright and uninviting day?" -- Jim Hardy (Bing Crosby in the movie Holiday Inn). Love Holiday Inn (the movie) and even enjoy the semi-remake White Christmas. You just can't beat the old stars or old movies... Okay, so Lompoc in the fall is not exactly the New England countryside. In fact, if you had a spectrum of fall places to visit...with New England on the inviting side...I'm sure Lompoc would be at the other end :) But here's the thing...for proximity to SB Wine Country and especially with the Lompoc Wine Ghetto close by, Lompoc is a very inexpensive and convenient place to stay. And all due respect to the comedienne KC, I don't get the whole I never stayed or ate at a place yet give it one star. They have a two night minimum...might be asinine policy but it is their business and their rules. The policy is not deserving of a one star especially if you didn't even rent a room. My friends stayed at the next door motel 6. I just couldn't do that so with a discounted Friends and Family rate due to a hotel manager acquaintance, I booked a room here for two nights. Front desk wanted to see my voucher (um, my friend emailed link...can you print it at Business Center?...yeah, I'll get right on that) but then never asked me again. Room was clean, with lots of space and a refrigerator. Noise was minimal from second building...no homeless anywhere unlike what the 2009 reviewer said. Complimentary Breakfast was surprisingly good with a varied selection including fruit, yogurt, various breads and pastries, pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy. Service was very good to with a sweet women doing her best to amuse the tourists while doing her job. Wi-fi was fast and free, even from back building. And put the sign up if you do not want service. I was never bothered. USA Today free as well. Not as cheap as Motel 6 but a nice stay nonetheless. Recommended. read more

This was a pretty nice hotel for the price point. Centrally located in Lompoc, it had all you would expect from a HIE property. bigger than most, the rooms were in 3 different large buildings. Property was clean and well kept. Hallways could be a bit noisy and some sound traveled through the walls (its wood construction), so ask for a top floor room to minimize noise. Service was pleasant and efficient. from front desk to breakfast, everyone was nice and said hello. Breakfast was standard HIE fare. All good. Not high end cuisine, but it was consistent. Lots of food options nearby (within walking distance) and a starbucks across the street. read more

Our room was super clean and new. Everything was fresh and the bed was very comfortable. The carpet even felt good. Our room had a microwave and fridge. With our triple A discount it was a great price for this room. We were very satisfied and over all happy with our room. I was done with Embassy and decided to stay here (split time with another hotel) on my recent travel. First off, the staff is great - the gal and guy at the front desk were friendly and helpful - big points! The rooms were recently upgraded, so they look clean, new and fresh. The decor is modern and simple, but new looking and well maintained. I didn't have any problems with noise (although if you wear heels on the 2nd floor, you can bet the whole floor will hear the thump of your stride), so that was good. Bathroom was very clean and up-to-date and well maintained and I would say the most annoying part of the bathroom was the toilet because it has that top-button flush system which requires you to FULLY press down before it actually functions.. and you have to push down hard. The sink area is small, but enough for one person. Beds are 'new', but I found them a bit stiff (thankfully not lumpy) and so I slept crappy the first few nights. Also, Hilton has waaay better pillows. Parking is easy and feels safe and walking to and from my car feels safe also. Gym area is pretty plain: 2 treadmills that are probably at the lowest level of quality (shaky, very few features, etc), 2 ellipticals and that's it. I guess it's "better than nothing" is how I would put it. It is clean, though and they have plenty of towels and a TV and a water filtration system to hydrate you. Breakfast was lame. It's continental style so all cold except for a super sugary 'cinnamon roll' and 'fake egg scramble' which is warm. Not enough for me to enjoy breakfast, but, again "better than nothing". They do have bananas/apples and USED to have hard boiled eggs (what I used to get when I stayed here a few years back) at breakfast.. but that is no more. Final story - I still like this place for Lompoc because: convenient location for work (if you're working on base); clean, modern rooms; very friendly staff; safe facility; free continental bfast and a couple of clean, functional treadmills. read more

Naturally, you also need a room key to enter your specific building from the outside. *They have DIRECTV. Nice to have the same exact channels we have back home. Cons- *Not a very good shower. Hard to get it hot & it wasn't very powerful This isn't your typical new Holiday Inn Express that you find lining most freeways. It seems like it used to be another brand of hotel. However, the room was nice & clean. There is a grocery store across the street, and various food establishments nearby, including, a Taco Bell, KFC, Starbucks, & Panda Express. The staff here were friendly and helpful. I had a few questions at check-in and the gentlemen at the desk was patient and helped me with all of them. Two hours after check out, i realized I forgot my cellphone. I called the hotel and they informed me they have it and will be shipping it back to me (at my own expense of course). I truly appreciate the honesty here. Our room was clean and in great condition. Towels were soft and some toiletries were provided. I liked that this location is walking distance from many delicious food places and shopping centers. I will definitely be back when visiting. read more

This is one of the new holiday inn. It's located in Lompoc town and surrounded by lots of restaurants. The place is newly built or newly renovated so the rooms were super nice. New sheets, liners, blankets and stuff. It was very clean and new unlike other holiday inns that I have visited. They also had breakfast bags to go. read more

The hotel was very clean and our room was very large with a king bed. My wife and I stopped here on a trip down the coast of California and stayed in many hotels, but this was our favorite of all the previous hotels, and we got it at a smaller price than most of the others. The next morning, when we woke up, we went down to breakfast. The breakfast looked good, all of the essentials seemed to be present, and then BAM, one of the staff members brought out a massive bowl of bacon. That was when I knew... we got this hotel at a bargain. We overheard Other people at breakfast talking about how surprised they were at how nice this hotel was, so I know we were not alone in having a great experience. Beautiful scenery here too. The front desk staff was friendly. The room looked clean until I found a live bedbug on a sweater that my daughter had left on the floor. I contacted the front staff and they assured me they had never had any bedbugs and switched me to a different room in a different building. The room seemed cleaned but I was not at peace knowing that there could potentially be bedbugs in the new room. The only reason I stayed is because I was under mandatory evacuation due to wild fires, once my 2 nights were up I left and prayed that no bedbugs would tag along. The hotel sent me a survey in my email, I sent this exact same review and they sent me an email saying they couldn't post mu review on their website due to their guidelines. I stayed here for a night with my kids. On our arrival, the manager informed me that due to the power outage,their computer system went down. I waited along with other guests for over 30 mins. The manager and another staff seems to be having trouble with the system still. Finally, I got my key cards. She informed me that the suite that I booked is unavailable and she will give me connected jr. suites instead. I was fine but when I entered the first door, there was someone in there laying on the bed. It was an obvious mistake with their system. I went downstairs to inform her of the error. I was exhausted already and havent eaten dinner with my kids. Few minutes later, she walked me to a room and gave me a key card for a different jr. suite. She was apologetic,but I know it was not her fault. I am well aware that she is doing her best to make things work. She kept her composure the entire time.I felt so bad for her struggling to straighten up the chaos with all the tired guests waiting for rooms at the lobby.I did not get her name but if she reads this, I want to say thank you and keep up the good work. You are doing a great job as a manager. We were there Aug.15 evening to morning of 16 if Im not mistaken.I am still giving you my 4 stars inspite of all the shenanigans we experienced. We understand it was not your fault. You have been so kind and thats what matters. The rooms are new,clean and has everything we needed for the night. Their soaps and hair products smelled nice.The bed was a bit too hard for me. We did not get breakfast which was included supposedly. My kids were informed that there will be no breakfast that day. I normally stay down the street at the Embassy suites but it was completely booked so I gave the holiday inn a try. The rooms aren't fancy but they are large and tidy. Plus you get both a microwave and a fridge which came in handy! There is plenty of parking as well as a chipotle, a Habit Burger and a Panda Express just steps away. Breakfast is included and in addition to cereals and yogurt they had hot options with rotated daily as well as....a pancake machine! I've never even SEEN a pancake machine but it's pretty amazing. All you do is push a button and one minute later you have 2 hot, fresh pancakes. I don't even normally have pancakes for breakfast but I just had to check out this pancake machine! read more

Great rooms, they're clean and modern, seem recently remodeled. Masks were required everywhere so I definitely felt safe staying at this hotel during the pandemic. The usual breakfast area is closed, but the hotel has adapted to this and are offering grab and go breakfast baggies to be consumed inside your room, consisting of a breakfast pastry, banana, yogurt, orange juice, and coffee, more than enough to fill your stomach! The rates were affordable despite the rooms being so nice and modern. Will definitely stay here again, highly recommended. read more

I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone we booked a room for over 217$ with 2 beds showed up they gave us a room with 1 bed we had just watched our father pass away it was a very depressing day. We went into the office no one was there we were drained and very tired we waited finally a woman comes along she goes on to say they don't have any other rooms, she offers a roll out bed there's no way I'm sleeping on a roll out bed when I spent over 200$ she then proceeds to call a manager then she goes to check other rooms come to find out there were rooms available they just didn't have the staff to clean them! So instead of accommodating us with 2 separate rooms she proceeds to tell us we'd have to get a refund through Priceline we spent over an hour and a half dealing with this absolutely no resolve drained mentally and physically don't book a room here you may come and not get what you booked they don't care and they don't have the staff to keep up ! Also we weren't checking in u til 11pm they had all day to clean the rooms! read more

The best part though was Jesse at the front desk. He was super friendly helping us check out, and then even more friendly while helping us jump our car when our battery died.
