This company does not adhere to OSHA safety standards. They have employees (or "independent contractors" for the sake of not paying their employees fairly or accurately) hanging from the rooftops holding each other up by their feet rather than being strapped into a safety harness. I recommend this company if you are looking for an insurance liability or wish to make a homeowners claim because they don't know how to mitigate risk when putting up your Christmas lights. I set an appointment with Holiday Illuminations through their website which requires your address. They set and confirmed an appointment with me via phone. The day of the appointment they called and requested and earlier time as the estimator was running early. 15 minutes later they called back to inform me they do not service my area. Seriously?! Terrible, terrible, terrible. After reading the reviews, which I should have done before booking, I would say no way would I use this company. So after all this I should say thank you for saving me the experience of your terrible service. Good thing your company only needs to work once a year or you would starve. read more

Love Holiday Illumination. This is the first year we have used them and will definately use them next year. Had a small problem with the lights after installation and contacted the office. This is a business to which I would assign negative stars if possible. Mind you, I have never utilized their lighting services but the one exchange I had with them was beyond awful. I was grocery shopping at the Smith's shopping center on Durango in the Centennial Hills area last night and one of their crews was installing holiday decorations. They were in and blocking multiple handicapped parking spots near the Smith's (see posted photo), dry cleaner and tanning salon, leaving no spots available for patrons needing them. (The truck had no handicapped placards or plates in case you were curious.) I called up to them trying to get them to move and they would not. They were rude, made gestures and continued to show great disregard to customers in the shopping center- especially those who have special needs. Their company could be fined for violating handicapped parking statutes and, in my opinion, they should be. I hope that the owner of the business wasn't on site for this but if s/he was, they should be extra ashamed of themselves. Really, even if they weren't present, they are responsible for the actions of their crew. There is no valid excuse for violating the rights of others (in this case, those needing handicapped parking spots), breaking laws/ignoring statutes or otherwise demonstrating a lack of concern for other people. I would never consider hiring this company for anything and, judging by the two other reviews present on Yelp at this time, actual customers share similar sentiments. I am disgusted by this company's actions and, no matter the quality of their work (which I cannot judge), I cannot recommend them. read more

NEEDS A ZERO.... Used this company for years and had always been happy with Laurie (the "get it done girl") in customer service. This year?? NOT SO MUCH! Estimator had NO IDEA what sort of vegetation I had in my yard and I had a total melt-down when they didn't give me what I was expecting from my proposal. I spoke with Nicki (?) the estimator on the day the installers were on site... She basically told me I had to eat it and live with what I had. She couldn't have cared less that I would be using another service next year especially when my proposal was twice what it was last year. You see, I justified that when she indicated my magnolia tree was included in the price (20 feet +) I could almost understand the increase... Nope she was talking about the Blueberry bush at 6 feet... REALLY?? BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more

I am so very impressed with this company. I saw their truck and got the phone number. I called and the sales lady (Nicky I think) was here the next day and was great. She took pictures of the house and each bush and tree that were to be decorated. The crew was here the next morning and did exactly what we had asked for. It is beautiful and we are so very happy. If you like your house, do not use Holiday Illuminations to put up your lights!!! I told them do not use silicone on the house or flat areas. Not only did they use it, they used enough to secure the cords for the next 10 years!! Then when they came to take the lights down they bounced around my roof probably breaking tiles and bent my flashing. They also left remnants of the light clips on the roof line for 2 years until I demanded that they remove them ( this is the reason for the bent flashing). They also left silicone on my path ways that I had to remove!! Thanks a lot!! After I had to call several times they finally came back to paint the leftover silicone and it looks like crap!! They didn't do anything about my pathways. Thanks for nothing. I told my family and everyone I know to either put the lights up yourself, or find someone who will care about what they do. read more

Terrible customer service!!! If I could give them negative stars, I would. They scheduled an estimate for me on a Thursday, they didn't show up, I called them, they said the rep was in Anthem and asked if I would reschedule for Saturday. I said yes. They called me today land left me a message stating that unfortunately, my zip code is out of their service territory. Then why do they have a sign advertising 2 miles away from my house!!!??? It's obvious these people do not know how to run a business if they can't even deliver on something basic like customer service!!! read more

I have utilized this company for the past five years, as do many of my neighbors. I use them for all three holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). They have always been friendly, courteous, timely, and have gone out of their way to make our house beautiful for the Holidays! When my gardeners have messed up the lights with the sprinkler timers, all I have had to do is text and their crew is at my house in less then 20 minutes to fix it. They have worked through the rain and in the cold. They always come take everything down and the cords are always hidden very well. I will continue to use this company! EXCELLENT SERVICE!! read more
