a variety of sushi on a plate

You pay for what you get. The cooked food here I enjoyed; I liked the shrimp teriyaki and shrimp tempura, along with the wide amount of options like mini corn dogs, too. But the sushi itself was disappointing. I understand AYCE sushi not being of typical quality, but the amount of rice they piled onto rolls and sushi pieces was the most I've ever seen in my life. And the fish was super thinly cut on top. I like rice a lot; it was just too much! I guess AYCE lunch being around $16 before tip and tax has to limit expectations.

razor thin yellow tail that seems like one piece but it is really two tiny pieces covered with a jalapeño.

This is all you can eat. there's no option for dine in and ordering off the menu. The waitstaff is very nice. The problem is This is the worst excuse for sushi I have ever seen. I regret not taking more pictures of the tuna roll i ordered and the Shenandoah roll so it could be understood what i'm talking about. The fish is shredded. there is not one solid piece of fish in this restaurant. The rolls are full of rice. i know AYCE is like this, but this is off the charts pathetic. I tried speaking to the manager. nice guy, but he said they pre-slice the fish and cannot do thicker pieces.

every time i go to an AYCE sushi place i create a list!! the environment was a little depressing, very quiet even with a lot of customers there. however, my table and i made it very fun as we sat right under the speaker where they played music and it was quite entertaining. service was very quick and food came out on time as well. i'd say 3 stars only because i focus more on the food this time. the rice ratio was off it was too much i had to cut the rice in half oops. the seaweed or the nori in the roll was very stale you can taste the expiration... so i didn't order any rolls next. the appetizers were really good. my favorite was the calamari although there were only 4 rings. the takoyaki had no seasoning it was just fried balls that looks like hush puppies but it was still creamy and and chewy (bc of the octopus) just how i like my takoyaki! the shumai shocked me with how great it was, but it was a little sweeter than most shumai. the shrimp and steak lomein was the best entre by far or probably the best by any AYCE sushi places i've been to. it was a large plate and the noodles were the right consistency. most of the places i've been use really thin chinese noodles and it's too soggy and no flavor :// the price wasn't bad but could've been better regarding them using expired nori sheets.. $24 for AYCE with tax i believe it was $32 per person.

Met up a good friend who lived 2 hours away from this here establishment and so we decided to meet up and split our distances. Yes, it took me 2 hours and 10 minutes to get to this establishment so I'm definitely going to write a review. They have your typical Sushi/Habashi meal selection as well as the option for an All-You-Can-Eat. I usually don't do that latter option for Sushi but my friend decided for us already. Parking is just in the parking lot and given that this is very small country town in Harrisburg, VA, there's really not that much people. In fact my friend was saying that there's a local college population here too so it may appears that it would be busy and popular. Two door entrances to a hallway gathering area that leads to a double window door entrance to the main reception area. There are plenty of seatings from booths table to traditional rectangular table with different sections throughout the restaurant. We went with a booth that could definitely seat up to 6. After bearing seated, I ordered my drink and away we go with ordering and tasting different items off the menu. We tried the hand roll sushi, and the fried sushi roll. It was fulfilling but I've had better ones in Cali, Vegas and even Utah. We tried the Nikuri sushi, especially the Salmon, the Red Clam, and the Shrimp nikuri. They were all great. The only issue I had with the Nikuri was the portion of the fish. Usually, they would be much much bigger. The ones they make are too thin and small. Too bad I was enjoying the food too much to realize that I didn't take any food picture. Oh well. Highly unlikely to visit again because this was sort of out of my way in terms of traveling. Anyhow, we tried a bit of everything here and there since we are paying $18.99 per person for the All you can eat. I recommend coming here for lunch to try out the food. Being a friend it'll be easier to eat and enjoy some company.

My boyfriend and I love coming here when we're in the area. This place is like A Disney world for sushi! For a flat rate per person you can get unlimited all you can eat sushi, hibachi, dessert, appetizers or anything on the menu. Everything I've had from sushi to noodles was delicious. They offer special rolls under the price! While it isn't the best sushi I've had it's worth the price and experience. It leaves you feeling satisfied and content. Sushi is fresh and hibachi is cooked to order. They aren't skimpy on portions or make you wait to put in orders, if you want you could walk in and order as much as you want! Make sure not to leave leftovers though (they do mention a leftover fee) I wouldn't waste much time on appetizers unless you want to try them, I would go straight for the money aka sushi and steak hibachi (totally recommend). It certainly doesn't taste like a place that lowers the quality to be able to fill higher demand. Make sure you come hungry to take full advantage!! Whenever I go I definitely eat over what I paid and I recommend you do the same.

I don't like leave bad reviews to Restaurants but this one I must .The Food tastes bad.If you Order second time they will put extra rice to the dish to make sure you won't order again that's disgusting way to do business.I attached photo you tell me if it's looks normal to you guys you will be the judge ...

All you can eat for one great price! Offering superior quality sushi and amazing hibachi, this place is easily the best value in the Valley.

I tried Hokkaido recently and the food was awesome! Super cheap, staff was friendly, and the food came out quickly. Will definitely be eating here again!

Horrible!! Worst sushi I've ever had. Very bland and chewy texture. Both rolls ordered were a total waste of money.

I guess I should've known better, but the make your own drink was mediocre because the guava option was based off a not-so-yummy juice. So next I ordered a drink off their menu and it was just alright. Honestly, I'd just skip out on drinks next time, but it was New Year's Eve so.. I did try to ask our server for drink reccs but she was 20.. So, we really enjoyed our ramens. Even the veggie ramen that I ordered, with a clear broth, was quite tasty - I've had clear broth options that were less flavorful. We also ordered a few additional appetizers. We shared some bao buns which were excellent, my partner ordered some meat skewers and I ordered a salmon nori taco. All in all, a great little shop. We considered coming back later on our trip but decided to explore elsewhere.

I came with a particular need to get something that was both flavorful but not overly traumatizing for an ailing stomach. A miso ramen fit the bill nicely. While Japanese, the menu is vegetarian-friendly and offers ample customization. My ramen was tasty, but I did feel a bit shorted by getting only one marinated tofu sheet to finish off at the end. I needed some sushi to feel full, and fortunately, their inari with a seaweed salad filling were delicious, arguably more so than the ramen. A tea from their boba menu delivered some nice chia seeds and strong flavor, albeit with an aftertaste. I wouldn't say that my bar for ramen was reset, but as a regular driver along I-81, I felt good about having made this stop and wouldn't mind repeating it.

Dine in was beneficial for the 2 customers at the hibachi table who received more of our food, yet was a costly mistake for our take out. I went into this unique place called Beyond Restaurant and Lounge which offers a variety of cuisines from multiple cultures. I ordered 5 items: 1) Chicken Lettuce Wraps 2) Pork Bánh Mi 3) Pork Dumplings 4) Pineapple Fried Wontons 5) Summer Rolls. The pork fried dumplings were crispy, compact filling and they delicious. I was a little surprised with the chicken lettuce wraps when it arrive to the table. The minced ground chicken mixture with herbs was tasty which were served with fried rice noodles but unfortunately the iceberg lettuce didn't allow you to complete the wrap. You were only able to make 4 actual wraps and after that you just have to eat the items individually. I wish it was served with butter lettuce or something that can better cup the mixture. The summer rolls were good and generous portion filled with shrimp, pork, vermicelli, herbs and a peanut sauce. The fried wontons were stuffed with cream cheese, pineapple, garnished with diced pineapple, bell peppers served with a pineapple relish. It was different from your typical cream cheese, it was good. The highlight of this trip was their pork banh mi. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outer layer and inside was soft, fluffy filled with tender pork, pickled carrots and daikon; cilantro, mayo spread and served with fresh sliced jalapeños. After the first bite, I wasn't able to just take one bite. It was amazingly delicious. The restaurant is clean, filled with beautiful decor, has a bar, offers interior and exterior seatings, and all staff are friendly. Our server was Kim and she is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Since it's a 2.5 hour drive, it was definitely worth it. I would make another visit and try other items on their menu.
