If I could give zero stars, I would. This guy seemed great when he came to give me a bid. He educated me a lot about paint and what he would do, which is why I chose him over 10 other bids I received even though he was the most expensive. I wanted the job done right so I was willing to spend a bit more for a professional job. Once I awarded him the business, he blew me off each time I called him. I had told him at the beginning we'd be out of the country and unreachable when he did the job so I needed to give him the instructions for everything beforehand. He obviously didn't listen to a word I said, as he couldn't find the key I'd put out and had to break into my house, ruining my window screen in the process. He didn't caulk the crown molding as he said he would; there were spots where the old paint color showed through. Most importantly though, he didn't paint the trim as he said he would. His contract was ambiguous at best so I wound up painting the trim myself, which took 2 days so I could move my furniture into my house. Then when I brought it up to him that it was my understanding he'd paint the trim and I'd like to take something off the final bill, he said NO! Can you believe that? He said he did a lot of extra work (where?), blamed me for my lack of communication about the key and how to get in (what?) when it was right in front of his face the whole time. He came back to do the caulking on the ceiling and when I came back to see what he was doing, he was standing on my baby's mattress in his crib to do the job. He dragged a huge chair across my BRAND NEWLY refinished hardwood floors and left a scratch, and then left all the paint in the room where he touched things up. Then he had the audacity to tell me that this "was a nice little job to keep his guys busy" implying that we meant absolutely nothing to him. This is my brand new home that we just moved into and this guy shows ZERO respect for this fact. I so regret hiring him, I can't even believe it. I would never in a million years want to even see this guy on the street, much less do business with him. read more
