Tried to exchange a jersey that was purchased SEVEN days ago, never worn, tags attached, WITH receipt. Was told I could not exchange because this item was "not exchangeable." We were NEVER told that when we purchased this item as a gift. We are now stuck with a $50 jersey that my son won't wear. I'm all for supporting local small businesses, but this place is a joke. It was like looking at one of those online sports stores but in person seeing everything in front of you. Reasonably priced for sports memorabilia. I had purchased almost $200.00 worth of merchandise a week ago from the store. I had a great experience and really liked the items I purchase for gifts. One of the items was too small for my father and went to exchange it for a larger size or different item. The second I walked in, he started shaking his head and stating how sick he is of people returning items without a bag. There were other patrons in the store and so I assumed he was joking. He wasn't. He started yelling at me and telling me that because there was a hair on it (this shirt had been packaged and wrapped from the day I got it till yesterday) now he had to lint roll it. That this jacket had been out in the "wet air". He continued to yell and tell me that he isn't Shopko . I asked him why he was being so mean to me, and that he was so nice to me a week ago.. He said that he is a nice guy. I told him I had to disagree with him. He said that I wasn't even trying to see his side. I apologized and told him that I did see his side. I asked him if he would like to to go and come back with the shirt in a bag. He then stated it didn't have the tags on it. I explained that the tag had the price on it and it was a gift. He threw the shirt at me and told me to get out. I started crying and told him that I promised that I wouldn't be back. HE continued to yell things. And I left. My husband called and he told my husband that "I was dragging the shirt on the floor as I came in" I clearly wasn't doing this. He was condescending and mocking to my husband. I clearly will not be back as this experience isn't one that I will be forgetting any time soon. I realize he is going to feel that I was disrespectful by expecting him to return something out of a plastic bag and feels that I have no respect for what he does. But he would be wrong. I did respect him and what he did..but there was no conversation he went straight to yelling at me and to which I was in shock and kept saying things like "really??" I couldn't believe the way I was being treated. So I take responsibility for my part of not putting it into a plastic bag. I live my life to try to be kind, giving, loving, and understanding. I feel taken advantage of and degraded by this man. Please think twice before giving this man your business. read more

They have merchandise you can't find anywhere else. Plus, they treat kids fantastic. I've dealt with sports collectibles dealers and most of them are downright rude. Bill & the folks at Hoffman's Hobbies have gone out of their way to make my kids feel special & want to come back. I try to give all my sports apparel and gift business to them because of that. read more

I walked in looking for a pretty specific item, with a certain style in mind, the person working was attentive, listened to what I was looking for and was knowledgeable enough about the inventory to not only lead me right to what I was looking for, he was able to recommend similar products that were relevant to my purchase. All this was done in a quick, professional, and knowledgeable manner. I would recommend stoping here first if looking for any sports memorabilia. read more

This is absolutely the worst business I've ever had the displeasure of visiting! they are rude, pass off second merchandise as 1st quality, devious in their practices and overall unwilling to accommodate customers in the true spirit of "service" and are pretty pushy in their sales pitch. After purchasing an item represented to be an official NFL item, I found that the tag at the collar was cut to signify it was a second, it did not have a size tag or marking, and the price tag did not have the official NFL logo or hologram. The size wasn't on the price tag either, I was just assured by the clerk it was a "L" but it was easily an "XL" based on being tried on by someone who regularly wears an XL to verify that as it looked rather big once I got it home. Very poor customer service upon returning the item and I was made to feel like how dare I question them or ask for a refund. They don't do any refunds, just store credits as I was rudely informed. They used the excuse that they didn't have the capability to refund my debit/credit card. They can take the money but not refund? So once they get you in there and you buy something, it is a "sales final" policy as you will only be able to purchase from them and not go elsewhere if you are dissatisfied. The sign that states "no refunds" is conveniently very small and more likely than not, the clerks stand in front of it when ringing up a purchase or discussing what they have to offer at their store. What legitimate business practices this method of sale, customer service, return policies, etc? Doesn't the customer have any rights? Please rethink frequenting this business. They've been around a long time which only means there are a lot of folks out there that have been taken by this company and don't even know it! read more
