He also met my need to get the work done as soon as possible. In fact, after telling me that there was a two-month waiting list, once I approved the estimate, they showed up to begin the job just two days later. Not sure how that happened, but I'm not complaining. Steven, the job foreman, was very professional and highly skilled, notwithstanding his youth. Why do people I meet keep getting younger? He is a perfectionist, a virtue which you rarely encounter with home contractors. He even helped guide me with the color selection. I threw him a few curve balls during the job, and he did everything I asked him to do with a smile. He and his crew were on time every day, and were all polite, neat, and hard-working. They are acrobats on high ladders, and barely dripped a drop of paint where it didn't belong. The finished job looks great, and exceeded my expectations. It is also worth mentioning that Wilber's guarantees the durability of the paint job for three years. All the others who bid offered a two year guarantee. I can't speak to their other services, but I would hire Wilber's again for a major painting project, and recommend them.

Well, one of their workers crawled through a bedroom window and trampled on what was there, and broke something that was not replaceable (a sentimental basket from a deceased family member). Elite does excellent work and is fairly priced. Tony, the owner, shows up to discuss your job and provides an estimate. In all four jobs, the price I paid was the estimate. Note, I didn't rely on Elite to choose colors, I spent hours doing that on my own. You have a project manager, texts to remind you of appointments and follow-ups to check with your satisfaction while they are painting. And the jobs are simply excellent. Friends complain about seeing brush strokes, windows that are painted shut, paint drips on the floor. I never had to worry about this. The work is exemplary. I can recommend them without hesitation.

Most recently a basement overhaul to use the space as a social/entertaining area. As with earlier projects, we are totally pleased with all aspects of their work. They tiled the entire floor area, painted the walls and installed new lighting. They even installed a large wall TV. The first project, several years ago, involved painting multiple interior rooms and crown molding. Most recently, I hired them to paint three new structural porch columns and my front door. While that may sound like a straightforward job, it really wasn't. Black structural columns are not something you see every day, so preparation, product selection, and attention to detail were critical to getting the look I wanted and ensuring the finish would hold up to the elements. Bob came out to provide the estimate. He was professional, easy to work with, and, most importantly, took the time to listen to what I was trying to achieve and the concerns I had about the project. He was also able to get the work scheduled within the same week. I worked closely with Ron, who I believe was the lead painter on the job. He was incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I supplied the INSL-X primer recommended for fiberglass columns and discussed paint options with him. He agreed with the approach and helped ensure the project was done the right way rather than just the fastest way. The work took two full days and exceeded my expectations. The crew took great care to protect my brand-new porch, covering the decking and railings thoroughly so there was no risk of paint getting where it didn't belong. What really stood out was the follow-up. Both Bob and Ron checked in independently after the work was completed to make sure I was satisfied. They also made it clear that if any issues came up, they would come back and make it right.
