I am a retired physician with over 40 years of experience, and I never referred my patients for chiropractic care. I had been an avid golfer for decades, but developed increasing pain in my left shoulder which forced me to give up playing. I was referred to physical therapy, then to several orthopedic surgeons. Despite several MRI's and cortisone injections, no one could precisely diagnose the cause of my shoulder pain. The MRI did show a small tear in one of my rotator cuff muscles and some age-related findings, and I decided to undergo arthroscopic surgery. Unfortunately, I had the same shoulder pain months after the operation. I knew Dr. Hoffart on a social level, and he recommended Softwave treatments. I did not have any knowledge of Softwave, but decided to give it a try since it was non-invasive. I knew of shockwave therapy for kidney stones, and discovered that Softwave was similar, but used lower intensity acoustic waves. After multiple treatments my shoulder pain began to improve. It has been 5-6 months since my last treatment, the pain in my shoulder is minimal and my range of motion is much improved. Not only did the treatments work, but I was impressed with Dr. Hoffart's knowledge and wonderful bedside manner. I still would be reluctant to go to many chiropractors, but I can honestly say that Dr. Hoffart offers quality treatment, and he truly cares about his patients. I have recommended Softwave therapy to many of my friends who have shoulder, knee, hip, or elbow pain, and I would definitely recommend that they go to Dr. Hoffart's clinic. Dr Hoffart , Made me feel alive again. I was in a car accident in March and was injured with a lower back bulging disc. After several months of Pyhsical Therapy and Dr visits . The only solution I had was pain medication I still could not run or cycle . I could not sit all day at work with out pain killers. I started seeing him in October and by December I could run up to five miles again. I can cycle up to seven miles again. I have frozen shoulder and got cortisone shots, pain killers, and PT but what helped the most was what Dr Hoffart did by adjusting my neck and shoulder. I have been to Chiropractors through out my life yet still did not have proper range of motion in my neck. For 30 years after a accident, I was unable to tilt my head backwards and that lead to chronic upper back and neck pain and frequent muscle " knots". Dr. Hoffart immediately knew the problem, confirmed with X- Ray's and utilized his Atlas Orthogonal equipment to adjust my first vertabrae, the Atlas. What I did not know is that most Chiropractors can not adjust the Atlas. That is why my problem was never solved. After one adjustment I had my range of motion back. After 30 years! Plus it stayed that way. I felt like my life changed in just one visit. There was no neck twisting or cracking involved.
