Only good customer service occurs as long as your money is going their direction. They refuse to give a refund or exchange when products are defective. They would rather you deal directly with the manufacturer of the product they sold you. When you are the only hobby store in town, you don't have to care about market place reputation. If I could give a negative rating I would. I purchased a $1300 drone from Hobbytown for a Christmas present. When I went to return the UNOPENED box with my receipt I was told there were no returns(which on an expensive item should be verbally stated to the customer). The owner was too busy to help me and was rude when I told him I wanted to return the drone. He told me that they do not credit back visa or debit cards. All he could do was give me store credit. I purchased it as a gift! Two days before. What a rip off. My recommendation is to never purchase anything from this store. You'd be better off going online or to Dallas. read more

Do not shop here! This store does not stand behind the products they sell. My husband purchased $200 worth of parts yesterday for his RC car based on their recommendations. He installed the parts according to their advice. When the car turned on the battery started smoking and destroyed the control unit. He returned to the store and was told they could not help and he would have to contact the manufacturers.The owner was very rude and unsympathetic. She did not care about our inconvenience or expense, so clearly does not care about customer satisfaction or service. read more

We bought a Traxxas Slash for my son from them. They were helpful to get us in a good entry level car for him. The motor went out the third week he had it. They were quick to get it fixed and get him back to playing with it. They have been really helpful with tips for maintaining the car. read more

You know this has to be one of my favorite HobbyTown stores ever. Every time I going to the store Luke the mechanic and all the staff greet me with a smile. Luke's always able to find what I need and keeps me on budget. Terrible place! Do not buy from this company! They are rude, they lie, and when you try to go return something based on it not working they argue and they're disrespectful. They obviously do not care about their customers! It's well worth the money to go buy from somewhere else then dealing with these people! I will NEVER go back and I will share with anyone I can about how disrespectful their employees are! I can't believe I wasted over $100 on a toy for my son as an early Christmas gift and its wasted because the thing doesn't work and they will not honor it after 24 hours of ownership! read more
