I didn't see any books on metaphysics or philosophy, or nonduality or meditation or anything. Just on crystals, and maybe on 'witchery'. The whole place absolutely reeks of incense - like a super strong, artificially-scented soap, that actually leaves a nasty taste in your mouth within seconds, and an odor on your clothes that takes hours to dispel. I was very aware that the woman staff member was watching me the entire time I was there; which made me feel super awkward and not like ever going back. I guess they must have a lot of thieves or something. The guy shopkeep seemed a bit more laid-back.

If I may make a suggestion, however, please have schools making large art supply purchases check out at the refund desk or another area. I am a retired educator who frequently purchased for my school at various venues, and almost always was directed to another checkout so I would not hold up the line for 15 or 20 minutes with paperwork, etc. That was not the case today, I'm afraid, and it was very frustrating.

I didn't buy anything this time, but I definitely could have. I also loved the little bookstore inside called The Headless Librarian. It's tucked in there and feels super cozy, like its own little hidden corner. If you're even slightly a book person, you'll get pulled in.
