Huge place for everything crafting! Lots of selection. However, I was looking for a particular crafting piece and I had to track down like 4 employees to figure out where this was. Finally I had to search it on their app and ask for the sku number to find it. But eventually I did. I was just sent in 4 different locations before I found it But overall it's clean and lots of options. read more

12:30 in the afternoon and 3 people are in line behind a lady returning many things. Employees walking around are moving stuff around instead of helping move people out of the store. Why are customers waiting in line for long periods of time? Instead of employees stocking shelves why can't they stop ring up customer and go back to it later. There are too many employees on the floor to make customers wait. The return line should always be separate. read more

Hobby Lobby - Fabric Stores Near Me - Tinley Park, Illinois

The assistant working the floor opened the door (I walk with a cane) when I approached the entrance with a pleasant greeting and an acute knowledge of the location of the items that I wanted. Later, the same lady aided me with the purchase of a display tree that was the only one left. Every employee with whom I encountered showcased the same polite, professional attitude. This Hobby Lobby would be an excellent training aid for recruits. read more

Wife loves the options and seasonal products and pricing. Had a lot of Christmas decor items to buy for this year.

The one star is genuine because I found good deals and my 9-year old daughters were excited about finding decor for their rooms......which brings me to my review. I went to this Hobby Lobby after so many years of not going and I remembered why. The help on the floor is scarce and when you are getting helped it's always rushed. As everyone knows there are multiple checkout lanes and cashiers, therefore there are multiple lines to choose from....I was wrong apparently....but it seems the rule only applies to me. There was another man standing in line but for another checkout counter. There were shorter lines available so I chose one of those. When the one I was standing in opened, of course I moved up to start unloading my goodies. Unfortunately, I was met with harshness and "I have to take him next, he was in line first!" So then I asked as my children and I backed away, "okay, where is the line? Is there only one?" Cashier replied, "the line is there, I have to take him first. It's the rule! I can call my manager for you to ask!" I was horrified at the micro aggression against me...and with my 9-year old girls, no less. I replied, "now that wasn't necessary. I just asked a question." One of my daughters understood feat was happening and tried to comfort me by rubbing my back. Finally, another cashier took me and to my surprise, a line formed behind me and then all of the lines started to fill. Guess what?......you guessed it, no one was asked to move. I had an "heirloom print" from my grandfather's farmhouse. Thought Michael's should be able to handle it. It was a circular image in a 20"x28" frame. The original Matt was there, but water damaged. THEY HAD THE ORIGINAL TO USE AS A TEMPLATE. But Michael does not cut Matt's, they send them to a place in Texas. I chose the expedited shipping. After 12 days with no word, I went BACK to Michael's where Miguel said he couldn't figure out what had happened to the order, but he would BE HAPPY TO REORDER IT FOR ME. Did so, and a week later I went back. The pictures tell the story. You can see the print and the original Matt, and you can ALSO see what they delivered....a 24"x32" matt with a WAY TOO BIG OVAL (not circular) opening. The Manager (Ernest?) got WAY CONDESCENDING and told me they would BE HAPPY TO REORDER IT FOR ME. (A word to the wise, Ernest, you can be snotty and condescending when you are GOOD AT YOUR JOB. Since you are not, you should hold off on the attitude). Frustrated, I figured I'd see what Hobby Lobby could do. Guess what? Hobby Lobby cuts their own matts, which the gal did in about 5 minutes. She also dry-mounted the print (another 5 minutes), and put everything together in the frame (another 5 minutes) for considerably LESS than Michael's had quoted me. Looking around while I was there, I noted that Hobby Lobby also has a better selection of frames and framing options, and their staff is MUCH more professional and talented. Another word to the wise.... avoid Michael's! Hobby Lobby is the place to go! read more

I have been passing many Hobby Lobby stores for a few years and I have been watching YouTube videos where they are always recommending items from Hobby Lobby stores. So I have been wanting to do a DIY project with my pretty jars that I have been collecting and I needed some small handles to screw on top of the jars and I could never find any anywhere else-- like the Dollar store. Never think about it when I am in Hardware stores. so Friday, September 3rd, I made a special trip to this location which is the closest one to my house. I was amazed on how huge the store was with Stuff everywhere from floor to ceiling! So I asked a sales associate where were their knobs located and I was told and pointed to a few isles over from where we were standing but I was unable to find them. I didn't see any posted isles names so I asked a customer for help and she took me straight to them. So after I made my choice on the knobs, I stood in a line of the first register I came to. While standing there a sales associate came over to me and said she could check me out at her register. So, as she was signing into her register, I mentioned that this was my first time in a Hobby Lobby and I would like to have more time just to look around but I couldn't because my dog was in the car. She then leaned towards me with a whispering voice and said to me, "We don't advertise it but you know you can bring your dog inside with you while you shop as long as he behaved and all." I said "Oh really?" She said yeah, while shaking her head up and down for a "Yes" gesture. I turned around and looked at the overly crowded store with "STUFF" everywhere, all on the floor in a zigzag pattern. I turned around and looked at the merchandise from floor to ceiling, and then turned to her and said "I find that hard to believe." She said yeah but you can. So I thanked her and left. While in my car still in the parking lot, I was Pissed off at that "B" for lying to me like that! Why would she lie to me for what purpose? What was she expecting me to do? Come back inside the store with my dog so that personnel would stop me in my tracks and I turn around and say she said I could bring him inside with me while I shop, so she would Out Right denied that she even said that to me, and in the meantime all the customers would have been taking pictures and videos to post me on all of the social media platforms? Wow, I was just too outdone! I was really pissed driving home and I thought about that I didn't get her name nor did I see a name tag either. My last chance to call her out on what she had done to me where I was hoping her name was on that receipt! Low and behold, her name is Joshlyn Z. I not sure if she was Hispanic or White, but why would she out of nowhere boldly lie to me like that. The place is so tightly packed with stuff Everywhere that a seeing eye dog would probably hurt himself and his master in that place. Joshlyn Z is a dishonest, lying, manipulative person and she has No business working with the public! She really spoiled my very first visit to a Hobby Lobby store, I am probably Scarred for life behind this ordeal! After reading the reviews for this location maybe this is acceptable. My daughter says she is a straight up KAREN, and needs to be fired! read more

UPDATE: Thank you for Hobby Lobby Corporate for investigating my concern, that's all I wanted.

Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite artistic supply stores to go to. They have so much to explore at decent prices. Their coupons make some of the more expensive things more affordable. I like to get glass for mosaics here with the 40% off coupon. I've had a few pieces of my art framed here for art shows and I've always been satisfied with the options, prices and overall service. Customer service has been good also, no rude or frustrated workers crossing my path. They carry a variety of name brands, something for the novice or professional in different creative areas (painting, drawing, modeling, glassworks, jewelry making, floral arrangements,or home decor). If you forget your coupon and have your phone handy you can pull up their website and use the 40% coupon on a regular priced item... which is what I just did ;-) read more

I love this store however, the employees are extremely rude. I asked one of the associates if she knew where something was at, and she looked at me like I was stupid and said she had never seen that here before in an annoyed voice. Not to mention the other associate who was walking right on top of me because I wasn't walking fast enough. Say excuse me if you're trying to get by. All the employees have bad attitudes and poor behavior towards customers. read more

I gotta admit, as big box stores go, this is actually pretty reliable for having a decent selection of materials at excellent prices for my artistic needs. No matter where I am working in the city or outlying suburbs, if I run out of a particular brand of acrylic or oil paint, or just need a handful of new brushes, this is the very first place I look for in the area. Their weekly sales are worth checking into either in store or online, and over time, you'll find they're pretty cyclical. Enough so that if you need to stock up on tube paint (for instance), you'll find that sooner or later they'll be at 30-50% off, so it may be worth your while to be patient with your purchase. There's so very much to see in this store that it's easy to get distracted. A visit that should take me ten minutes often takes me a half hour just because I keep noticing other things I think I need, but of course, don't. Yet at these (generally) cheap prices, I usually find myself adding them to my cart, anyway. Damn you, Hobby Lobby...Damn you for enticing me with your sorted ways! read more

This where I get my art supplies and I must give them Kudos for many years of great customer service and for the pricing of their products, fair and affordable. Much love! read more

The customer service in this location leaves a lot to be desired. I had a question about chalk paint and when I finally found a sales associate to help me, she replied that she had a phone call and just kept on walking. Are you kidding me? How about get someone else to assist me! Just plain RUDE! not at all reflective of the Christian company you claim to be. read more

Finally made it here...very nice selection of crafts, Christian-themed decor. I'll definitely be back. One thing major that disappointed me was the horrifically disgusting restroom! At least 2 commodes filled with paper, dirty, un-mopped floors, and extremely bad smell! Really?! I thought cleanliness was next to Godliness! read more

I was at this hobby lobby today and I wanted to say that every employee i encountered was helpful and friendly and especially the cashier jennifer j. Who took the time to verify which of my items were on sale and had such a pleasant demeanor it was refreshing! Thanks hobby lobby for such a pleasant shopping experience read more

I love this place. They have so much stuff, that I always find what I need for any crafting idea I have. The staff have always been wonderful. You can tell that the owners have a moral base, because their staff does as well. The negetive reviews surprize me because I've been here endless times without one bad experience. read more

I love this store, and I always manage to walk in on a day when there is a sale on something. Some things may be a little high priced, but the sales allow me to get them and not go broke! read more

I shop here all the time. I like the store. My biggest problem is the employees. Mostly the ladies that have been there for a long time. They need to work on customer service. A Christian store should have nicer employee. I've had a few here or there. Nobody says hello or wants to help you. The store is clean but the bathrooms need to be gutted. They are probably 40 years old. Women appreciate a nice bathroom read more

I didn't know that they had so much crap in their stores. And I didn't know that they are not open on Sundays? Or that the employees have to manually enter each price into the computer. They better know their sales paper! If you catch the stuff that you need on sale, it's a big win win for you. Nice clean store and very helpful employees. read more

Went in to get fabric, Cyndi was short tempered and rude. She commanded me to move away as she cut my fabric. I have purchased fabric many places and have never been scolded and reprimanded for :safety". Avoid this place at all cost read more

All managers here are VERY rude. If the managers had a better attitude maybe the rest of the staff would. I have never written a review before but after my experience today I decided it was needed. If I could give 0 stars I would. Tried to return something today and got nothing but eye rolling, attitude and rude comments. This is not the first time I experienced this type of issue at this store. I told the manager I did not have a receipt and if it could not be returned I understood. I'm at hobby lobby at least once a week buying stuff but from now on I will just shop at Michaels. Your loss!! read more

One star because of selection. The employees respond to questions like they don't want to be bothered. One lady didn't even look at me while she was talking to me. read more

The customer service at this location is some of the worst I've ever experienced. The manager Chris is horrible, and most all of the employees are unfriendly, uninterested, and down right RUDE!. What happened to customer service? What happened to appreciating your customers? I shop there because the product is unique, and the prices are reasonable, but I hate giving them my business, they don't deserve it. I don't understand why Upper Management doesn't recognize this, They must be this way also! read more

The customer service is the best! I love their selections of just about anything I would want. Their yarn is also the best! They have fantastic sales and coupons! I live 5 minutes from a Joanne Fabrics store but refuse to go there. I can't say enough good about the store and the people that work there! read more

Although I do love the products sold at hobby lobby - good variety of holiday decorations, plenty of art & scrapbooking supplies, nice home decor, & more - I cant say the service is too great. While the lines can get very crazy, they don't have enough staff on at a time. And since the cashiers have to put in the price manually (maybe they should update their system), they need to have more cashiers working to manage the long lines. Ive waited in lined foreverrrr once, and one staff member told me to move to a different line. When I did that, the line I was in was moving so quickly... the 3 people that were behind me ended up being taken care of way before me. I was fuming.. waiting in line for over 30 minutes. Just ridiculous. However, they do have good products & good sales/coupons. read more

I'm a fan of Hobby Lobby. No, I'm not a wannabe emo hipster "artist" (and I use that term loosely) but I still dig what they've got to offer. My boy is huge into painting, drawing, clay, whatever, and having HL nearby assures his stock stays fully loaded. The prices are reasonable and the offerings of what's in stock and available are usually pretty good. Employees are helpful and if they don't know the answer to your question they'll be sure to find someone who will. read more

I love this store for my art supplies. I also love it for decorative pieces for my home. Furniture is not high quality, but you're not paying for high quality. Bad customer service. Employees act like you are a huge bother to them if you need help finding something and always respond very rudely. For being a Christian store I would have thought they we be way more friendly. read more

Love the store, but it takes FOREVER to check out. There is always a large array of items to pick from that, usually, is exactly what I'm looking for. As someone that is an avid cross-stitcher their needlepoint section is horrible. It's been reduced dramatically the last few years and it's down to one aisle. read more

I no longer shop at Hobby Lobby because they are suing to not have to provide birth control in their employees health care plan.
