I asked a question and this employee didn't know what I was talking about. She got some help by another employee but she said they are out of the item. I asked if they had any in the back and they said "we don't keep backstock" which I know is bullshit because they have their warehouse doors open and I saw tons of boxes back there. You telling me that item isn't in any of those boxes. It's ridiculous that they will lie to your face when you can just walk by and see all the boxes. read more

I purchased some beads for my daughter for Christmas that was marked "on sale"for $13.99 and when I went to wrap it and remove the price tag, low and behold the original price was $12.99. How shameful for this company to take advantage of people this way. I will never shop here. read more

I went into the store the has a sign above the books saying 40% off the marked price. The marked price had a label on it for 13.72. She would not give me 40% off because that was the sale price I said why does it say off the marked price then? They just argued with me and refused to give me the sale price. This was even a manager that I had asked for after the cashier told me that. To me that is wrong. Honestly very disappointed in a Christian based ran store and yet dishonest. read more

This location wasn't too crowded when I arrived mid-morning on a week day. It didn't take me too long to find what I came for. Unfortunately the lines had built by the time I got to the registers. Just one owed on in front of me took 15 minutes. Each line had at least 10 people so you can do the math. Long wait! It's not like I was in a rush. The problem is I have an injury that has left me disabled so my ability to walk and stand is very limited and painful. I can get past that if there are electric carts. I hate to use them but grateful in this type of situation. No electric carts and probably nit enough room to maneuver them. Great products! Not so great staff. Some of the employees were quite bitchy... they were super short when I asked questions. Others were very helpful and friendly. Several shoppers walked to the check out around the same time. The only lady operating a check out counter looked at my cart and then put a closed sign out. She decided to take her 15 minute break right when there was a huge line. We all had to wait for other cashiers to get to the front or to stand in the return/customer service line which always takes a long time getting the manager to the front for a return. In all it took me 30 minutes to check out with 5 items- not really how I wanted to spend my time :/ read more

The customer is DUMB here! I was buying candy melts and the sign said On Sale $1.99. When I got to the register the sweet checker said they weren't on sale and called over a manager. "Nicole" told me that the sign did not say the melts were on sale and that the sign specified green bags, Unflavored melts. She told me that I was the only customer that had EVER mistaken this sign. I said well then I must be dumb! She continued to tell me Hobby Lobby has great lawyers! What kind of a response is this? I didn't ask about lawyers...I went and took pics and brought them up to show her and she told me again, I was wrong! She spoke so loud that everyone was looking at me. Also she asked if I wanted to see the advertisement, I said no but she literally was trying to shove it in my face and chased me out the door. She was sarcastic and said "Have a blessed 4th of July"! I've been into this Hobby Lobby several times because it's near my job. I decided to go in this last Saturday because I've just moved into a brand spanking new home and being one of the first people to buy and move in on my block, I needed some sort of lawn decor so that people don't assume the house is still empty. Anyway, I went in knowing that they are having Spring items on sale right now. I was happy to find wall art was also at 50% off and decided to look for wall art for my dining room. I'm not a struggling person, but I'm definitely on a budget so I took my time looking for items that would go well with my modern farmhouse theme. When I say took my time, I mean I covered the entire store and put things in my basket and then returned them and then went back and grabbed them and then took them over to a shelf on display and arranged and rearranged them to get an idea of what would work well together. Well, as I'm going around I felt a little bit of a vibe that maybe I was being watched, but I brushed it off because I would have to be the stupidest criminal to spend that much time in a store (about an hour) only increasing my chances of getting caught, but I digress. So right when I've settled on what I want and I'm about to head over to the cashier, an employee appears out of no where, walks up to the shelf that I was using to test out items (which was the same shelf I already had in my basket to purchase), and proceeds to inspect it and the surrounding area and then walks away. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I felt like that just confirmed to me that I had been being watched. Now I'm not someone who likes to group all people into categories. I am bi-racial (half Mexican) and when I moved to Idaho, I had ignorant people telling me that I shouldn't want to move here because "it's probably nothing but white people..." the insinuation being that they were all probably racist. I totally rejected that notion because that's not how I think, and I don't want to be treated any kind of way just cause I'm Mexican so why would I treat white people any kind of way just cause they are white. I judge individuals' actions, not groups' actions. Period. But truly, I really felt like I was targeted and I really felt like it had to do with the fact that I'm not your cookie cutter blonde-haired, blue-eyed Idahoan and I'm clearly not from here. The sad part is that I am a Christian and a woman of integrity who supports Hobby Lobby's mission and values, but I really feel like I was targeted at this store because I'm different, an outsider, clearly not what most of the locals look like. I could be wrong, but yeah, my gut has never failed me before. Hobby Lobby Nampa, you need to do better. Judging the outward is so not God's heart. P.S., I still paid for my stuff and took it home because, again, I'm not gonna judge a whole group (in this case, Hobby Lobby) based on the actions of a few dummies within that group. read more

I love this place! You can lose hours in here! There's so much to look at and shop for! AAAAAND, it's perfectly placed right next to a Sportsman's and Dicks's sporting goods, so when you say, "Honey, we need to go to Hobby Lobby..." you don't get the UGGHH WHYYYY... he can just drop you off and head there while you're shopping. Pretty pricey, but if you sign up for their emails, you can always get 40% off an item. This location is also a little understaffed and you tend to wait around often. Everyone is mostly friendly. This location is always clean and organized. read more

Went there and went to the cash register to pay for something and i wasn't even there for long at all. I was a little bit short on money. These employees got bad and left. Another thing is too that the manager is a bitch. I returned something and lost the receipt and wanted to get money on a gift card. Well she refused to give me full price. Never in my life has this ever happened before. Also she was a rude snotty bitch. read more

They always seem to have so many things on sale. When they discount something, it often a really steep discount. I just purchased a 2 ft. tall metal glass enclosed candle case. The msrp is just under $70. Hobby Lobby had it for only $20. The staff is always helpful and quick. I really enjoy shopping there because it's organized well and there are decorating combinations on display to inspire. read more

I love Hobby Lobby! I go there often and can almost always find what I need. I think that most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I think with any store you might find a slightly grumpy staffer on a random day, but honestly, in my experience, that is pretty rare here. If you watch the ads (or download their app) you can get a sense of their pattern of sales. More than likely what you want to buy will be between 30% to 50% off as long as you are willing to wait just a bit to buy on sale. If not, they always have a 40% off coupon on their app that works on most items. They will even let you use the coupon in another transaction if you have another person with you. That coupon is always available so don't forget to use it! The store is always organized and very clean and I appreciate that! Overall a great store! read more

I had five of my paintings that needed framing expertise and took them to two local craft stores framing department's. I ended up using Hobby Lobby for my framing. The one framer that helped me (Sarah) was so helpful, kind and patient with my pickiness. The results were fabulous. I am so glad I found the store for framing. I would totally recommend this store for your framing. The prices were very reasonable even without coupons. read more
