We've avoided going here for many years. Having said that, we went there earlier today to buy some arts and crafts for my kids school project and were pleasantly surprised by the the quantity and quality of materials available. First time at Hobby Lobby. Heard a lot of great things about this store and decided to check it out. Plenty of parking is available. This place is huge. Aisles and aisles of home decor, frames, crafts, fabric, art supplies, jewelry supplies, scrapbooking material, baking supplies, etc. The majority of the store is organized. Restrooms in the back are clean. The cashier was friendly and very kind. The prices are reasonable. Overall, I'm glad we got a chance to visit! read more

Generally speaking, I love Hobby Lobby. However, if you need something framed, be sure you get it in with plenty of spare time! Took it in toward the end of June & I was told it would be ready July 9th. Checked the week after the 9th & they said they're a week behind. Now the 25th & it's still not ready. Took my own frame & only need 1 mat cut...it is a fabric piece so the back has to be finished in a somewhat complicated method, but they haven't even started it yet. Very thankful I didn't need it on a specific date!! read more

My brother was in a Medicare run nursing home. You can imagine how dreary the place is with worn holiday decorations. My sister and I spent an afternoon visiting retailers in the area asking for a small donation in the form of a decoration. All of the retailers were kind, understanding, and generous in giving us a holiday decoration. Not so for Hobby Lobby. The store manager, or assistant manager kept saying that they can not give anything to the nursing home because they don't know their beliefs." This conversation went back and forth several times. I finally told him the these are elderly, sick, people who go there to die. I left the store not so much angry, but sad and disappointed and wondered how they call themselves "Christians.' read more

I wanted to get a large photograph gram framed but I wanted it to look good and I was told that Hobby Lobby does an excellent job with helping you design and make your custom frame. Jaz at the framing department was extremely helpful turning my vision into a reality and helped me through the whole process!! I would highly recommend their services and I will be back to for more! Also their prices were unbelievably low! My frame was rather large and deep and I was expecting it to be around 400 but the total came out to just around 200! Deal! On 11/28/2022 The Manager, a portly young man of this store needs to be respectful to his employees. I went to check out and the cashier who checked me out was quit I'll, terible cough and was having a hard time standing up. I mentioned to her she should be at home and her reply was tell my manager. I asked to speak to the manager who did come I said your employee is sick coughing and can't stand up , she should be sent home. His reply was in a very sarcastic and syned tone saying it's the employees decision not mine and kept walking by not even stopping to see If the employee was ok. The manager needs to be retrained on employee and custmer service. read more

Pretty cool store! I've been to Hobby Lobby before and this store was kind of messy. Must've just been a busy day but things were clattered all over like people had been touching them and just placing them back wherever/ however they wanted to. Hobby Lobby is not my go to for arts and crafts, I will forever choose Michaels over HL any day. Horrible customer service!! We waited in line for 30 mins to check out with lines of just a couple people deep. A manager type, older gentlemen, gave us and our children death stares while waiting instead of jumping on a register to help the very slow employees. News flash: it's the most wonderful time of the year as well as the busiest shopping season; better step up your game Hobby Lobby! Smile- it won't hurt you. Only issue I have (not specific to this location) are their hours (they are closed on Sundays) and the check out process (they have to key in every single item as opposed to scanning). read more

Leesburg, VA Hobby Lobby is NOT like the usual Hobby Lobby's. The staff do not even acknowledge customers. They do not greet, smile, or freely offer assistance. Opens at 9 and they sometimes unlock the door 5 plus minutes after. When items in the ad are advertised for 66 or 80 percent off... On Mondays, there are no items marked in this store for that percentage off. The management are always interacting with each other as if they have issues. My recommendation is to avoid this store. read more

I really love the idea of this store. There are so many neat items and it's all organized and catagorized beautifully. I just hate the prices! It's a bit pricey but if you need a themed item RIGHT away and don't have time to create or search for it elsewhere this is the place to go. We found some really effin cool door pulls for our nautical themed bathroom. Really nice quality and heavy duty - I'll post a photo later. I would likely return but not without a coupon or sale. Some of the items were just priced super wacky for example something I thought should be $20 was like $50 and something that looked like it was worth $50 was priced $20. I will not return to this store. Attempting to get a new matte for a print, I was made to wait twenty minutes while a new employee was 'trained' to correctly fill out a simple order form. After another long wait I was told that my print would be ready in "twenty minutes". But when I returned to pick it up two days later, this store had not even begun the work! His name is Clark he answered the phone with a smirky "HELLOOOOOO" like he ran the place he was rude. We asked if he could help us he said well it depends on what you need! We bought rhinestones that had the same barcode but we're different colors and we need to find the same color rhinestones for my sisters wedding. He said we are just going to said to have to get our butts in here and look for the rhinestones your self how can a companies like this have such a rude employee I can guarantee sales will drop and I don't think there is anyone that can get us to come back there. If he stays there then no one will be a happy customer when they leave there. I hope someone from corporate can read this and give this employee some better training to change him! I never want anyone to lose their job but if you can get him the training he needs to become a better employee then that would help out your store and his job! read more

I was most impressed when I had a big framing project for our office- fifteen pictures from a staff "paint night"- the framing department helped me find frames on sale and then helped me frame everything no charge. Would give this store a zero if I could. First visit, I was the only customer in the store and had a question to ask the cashiers, but they were too engrossed in their conversation about a movie to even notice me. I stood there waiting "on line" at the register, unacknowledged, for almost 2 minutes before deciding to just leave. Appalling customer service, not to even notice the only customer in the store standing 3 feet away from the register! Just, wow. But O.K, everyone deserves a second chance... Second visit, sales associate directed me to a manager for information, and this "gentleman" was BEYOND rude. He made it clear I was interrupting him, with a heavy sigh, rolling his eyes and answering as abruptly as he could. As a business owner I thought corporate might want to know what kind of service their employees are providing, so I emailed, and received a reply along "we're sorry, but we hope you'll visit us again soon!" I'm an artist and used to be an art teacher so I go to all three craft stores in my area of Loudoun County (AC Moore, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby). Was going almost weekly at one point. I love this store!!! Not only is it well supplied with quality merchandise, but the people are always friendly and efficient. Some of the reviews below seem a little sketchy. Like any store, the employees may at times not be as helpful as you would want but since I go to this and the other craft stores quite frequently, I can tell you that the GOOD SERVICE IS CONSISTANT AT HOBBY LOBBY. The products are great and a HUGE PLUS: THE CUSTOM FRAMING IS DONE ON SITE (the other two craft stores, while also good, do not provide this service). I CAN GET MY ARTWORK MATTED WHILE I WAIT (if they aren't too busy), I GET GOOD ADVICE ON FRAMING AND MATTING and a pretty good deal with the coupons. It's a little inconvenient that they are not open on Sundays but I can always work around that. Thank you Hobby Lobby, you really deserve more stars than five! read more

When Hobby Lobby came to Leesburg, I was thrilled to have a Christian based craft store that seemed to carry everything I could ever need. However, yesterday when I went to pick up some things for Easter, I witnessed a manager verbally assaulting one of his employees in the middle of the store. This manager, I believe his name tag said "Richard", was cursing at a young African American man, probably a college student, threatening to fire him. While I don't know exactly what was said between the two, "Richard" continually told his employee to "Shut up" whenever the young man tried to speak. Not only is this entirely inappropriate to be occurring in the middle of the store, "Richard" clearly needs to be reevaluated on his ability to manage a "Christian" based store. I was horrified that my young daughter witnessed this attack on an employee, and will not be returning to Hobby Lobby unless their management is reevaluated or replaced. read more
