I was in holmdel nj hobby lobby The manger named Paul loudly bullied me because I was returning . He said" look who's returning Christmas stuff . I wonder who it is?" I didn't make contact because I felt uncomfortable he continued to speak loudly all customers cashiers hearing him target me. He kept hounding me so he said "he's trying to make me laugh. I was just joking." I said , "that's what bullies say" What kind manger singles out a customer on return line ! He has done this everytime I go return things! I m upset I will not shop there again! I'm telling friends and family about the three incidents each time he loudly shamed me for returning things. They are shocked and they will not shop there neither will I. Mr Paul has caused me great anxiety !!!!! it use be my favorite store I just can't go back. How could a manger be so cruel! I did nothing but quietly wait online to return and he publicly shamed ! He's a manager! He needs to manage the store not me! It's none of his business what I return! I returned according to policy what's his problem. He needs sensitivity training! My daughter Alex P took me here because she couldn't believe I never went inside. What a great place. They have so many things, something for everyone. Crafts, picture frames, decorations, mugs, fabric, paints, floral arrangements and flowers, lamps, wreaths, seasonal items, party good, furniture and I could go on and on. Somethings I found were a bit pricey and other things a great purchase. Just be choosy and download coupons. I think being in the same shopping center as Home Goods they actually compliment each other. If you can't find it in one store you have an option to look in the other. A spiritual place with many religious items and beautiful music playing while you shop. Closed on Sunday. read more

Hobby Lobby reminds me of Michaels. If you're crafty, this place is a dream. They always seem to be having sales. Whether it's it the Custom frames department or your seasonal outdoor decor. They have a serious accent furniture department. Which we picked one small table for the foyer in our new condo at 35% off. Such a deal. :) Now I'm definitely not one but the Mrs. enjoyed going through crouching aisle. Picking up a few items to add to her growing collection. Staff is very helpful if you can't find what you're looking for. All you have to do is ask. I do suggest checking out the website before coming in. You will be surprised what they have in stock. I consider Hobby lobby the top place to go if you're looking to decorate whether things that are already prepared or things that you would like to make yourself. Extremely extensive range of inventory. Seasonal changes are always amazing. Their sales are also amazing because they really do promote things heavily, so I like getting their bulletins about sales. Good sales. Every time I come to this place there is a long line even though there are seemingly 30 people working. Half are on break. Half are at a register that they tell you is not open once you get there. Usually there is one register open. Shouldn't the first goal of a store be to let people buy things? I've now walked out three times because I can't take the line. They don't value customer time. read more

I have been shopping here for a very long time but I don't know if I will continue shopping here after what happened today. I waited in line for well over 20 minutes there were 4 cashiers open and the cashier proceeded to take 5 people behind me before taking myself. I understand it was Saturday and it was busy but you take the next person in line when I went to say something that cashier rolled her eyes at me another cashier saw what was going on and did nothing about it. read more

Went into hobby lobby in Holmdel New Jersey today. I am 35 years old and I can honestly say this was the worst experience in my life. I have worked at retail stores throughout my life and there's just some things that you do and some things that you absolutely don't do when it comes to customers. I went in there today and waited in a very long line to do an exchange on a wreath. The register opened up next to me and I proceeded to walk over. I told the cashier that I was here to exchange this wreath . in a nasty tone she yelled "what are you talking about!?" she looked at me like I had three heads. I told her I don't understand?she says it's called a refund. Then she proceeded to want all of my information driver's license, credit card, there were a lot of people behind me especially one lady with a whole bunch of kids I told her don't even worry about it just put it on store credit because I didn't want to hold up the line. She bust out laughing in my face then she gives me a piece of paper to sign I told her during this whole pandemic I didn't feel comfortable with using somebody else's pen because throughout the day every customer is using it and I have an autoimmune disease of my lungs she took the paper and slammed it down in front of the person I was with and said well you sign it then and yelled at him. I said we don't feel comfortable and we're not signing it. I said you can put my initials on it I give you permission and I then said we are good now we are going to go and pick out what we want. I was a little bit shaken up but I went into the aisle to find what I wanted so I could get out of that store. I was then harassed by the manager who ran into the aisle with the paper demanding me to sign it right at that very moment. I told her my concern and she said are you kidding me busted out laughing and said you actually won't sign it because of covid!! She pretty much talk down about covid like it was nothing and made fun of me for it. After that I proceeded to tell her that I just recently lost a family member due to covid and that it's a serious thing and she grunted and shook it off and walked away like it was nothing. I was so upset I was shaking and said to everybody come on let's go I started to walk to the front of the store where I noticed all the cashiers, and the manager were huddled together laughing hysterical and making fun of me as I walked out the door. Never in my life have I have been so disrespected I am surprised that that store is even open for business! I will never shop there again, and I'm going to corporate to put in a complaint against all of the cashiers and the manager who put me down ... Also put me down in front of my child no less... So if you're thinking to go there please consider not!!! I just honestly can't believe how she made it seem like covid was nothing and laughed it off like it was a joke after so many people lost their lives...very sad and disturbing... read more

I visited Hobby Lobby today and waited on line for 10 minuets. I feel I was degraded by the front end manager JoAnne. She was extremely rude to me & confrontational. I picked out a beautiful sign and ended up not purchasing it after dealing with JoAnne. After waiting in line for 10 minuets they finally decided to open another cash register. At that time another cashier waved me to her register & upon arrival at her register with no one behind me JoAnne decided to degrade me by telling the cashier not to ring me up and for me to stand on another line. The experience was horrible and I will not shop at hobby lobby in Holmdel NJ moving forward. I recommend you don't either! Double Thumbs Down...This store needs a new management!!!! read more
