First, Connie! She is a kind, helpful, shining employee who is stronger than she looks. She helped me find a large wall clock, and then helped me maneuver it into my tiny smart car. She refused to take a tip for all the assistance. In other things, the store was stocked with so many options, and was clean and orderly. The prices were reasonable and it's a place I enjoy spending time. I had to take off one star because I don't think HL offers non-Christian holiday items in their merchandise. We needed six pieces of original art and literal antique prints to be reframed. Lauren took a lot of time helping us pick out mats, frames and glass. She was creative and patient with us. She was there for pick up and had done a fabulous job preserving our original art and antique prints. Like many businesses, HL is short staffed and Lauren and the frame team are overworked. Yet she kept a smile on her face, and did excellent work. Lauren will be running Hobby Lobby Corporate in the future. She's the kind of employee that makes HL shine. read more

My husband went in to buy 2 items, as he was standing in line there was a couple waiting to see a manager. An employee opened up another line looked directly at him, turned away, and proceeded to call the white couple over from another line. Now at this point my husband is furious he's been standing in line for a minute waiting, as the line was held up. Needless to say he put his items down and walked out of the store. The framing job was ordered on 9/14/2020, it is now October 12, 2020 and in, I believe, the third date maybe fourth that the framing job was promised. This AM, the representative allowed the part needed to fix a broken framing machine came in but has not been installed and ready for work. For a company that thrives on customer service, my experience is 180 degrees from the service promised. I would take such jobs in the future a local framing shop that apparently cares about their customers and not the POOR caring exhibited by Hobby Lobby. Nice store located in the Publix shopping center. There is ample parking and a nice selection of home decor to pic from. There is a good amount of clearance items, but depending onto day of the week the pickings could be slim. The store itself is very clean, you can find most items have price tags on them and there is usually an employee or two to help you on the floor. I am hesitant to give it more starts because it seems that they run out of holiday (any holiday) stuff weeks before the date arrives. Some of this is my fault as I am a procrastinator. But I would like to shop the week before Valentine, Thanksgiving or Christmas and still find something nice. At any rate, there is always a long line to check out so arm yourself with patience. If you have a free morning, walk around and explore. If you are in a rush, I suggest you go elsewhere. read more

This location sits in the Publix Shopping Center near Peachtree Parkway & State Bridge intersection, around the corner from the Monkey Joes hidden behind it. I decided to stop in here on a trip to Publix. My son had a project due, an Electric House Project, and I assumed this place would have something to start with. Hobby Lobby is basically an arts and crafts store, merged with seasonal decorations for any house decorating project. For Christmas, they are stocked with ornaments, wreaths, tinsel, lights, cards, nick-nack gifts and anything else you can think of for the interior of your house. I admit, i was a bit overwhelmed at what they had available. They have a HUGE scrap-booking aisle so if that's your thing, then THIS is your first stop. I had to do a full round of the store before i settled into going down an aisle. So here's the cool things we got for his house project: - Specialty paper: they have patterned paper that you can use to create wallpaper for a house. Bricks, hardwood floors, clouds, basketballs, ceiling liner, rugs ... so many types of paper to cut out and use to create effects in the house. - Popsicle sticks: a huge box of 1000 sticks, which i cut up to make wood furniture with (bed, dresser, side table, book shelf, couch, love seat, table) and to create shingles for the roof of the house - Scrap booking section: found a tiny picture frame and tiny mirror to put in house, created my own mirror with their candy wrap foil - X-Acto Craft Knife: TONs of these available, and i found one that was perfect for the job (needed it to cut cardboard) - Craft Glue: super sticky and seals really fast, used it for the wallpapering and putting the wood furniture together - Fabric: i found a small bundle of fabric that i used to trim, stuff with cotton balls and make pillows and covers with If you're feeling crafty but not sure what you need, you can easily stop here and get ideas together by going aisle to aisle. Pricing is a little higher than I expected ($45 for all that) BUT it was exactly what i needed to make the project look great. They do have some 50% off deals as well if you search around. I can create and hustle without turning up ass. Another Yelp Atlanta find, I can go and get all I need to create and build inventory. I may be a whore.....but I am an art whore, bitch. First tip: wear comfortable shoes. The lines are super long and just when you think you find one that's not 5 people deep, the cashier adds a closed sign. Second tip: Don't judge the size/fullness of the basket in front of you when choosing a line. It may look like a small amount, but especially at xmas time probably includes 8,000 small ornaments, each of which is keyed in by hand by the cashier instead of scanning them. Third tip: don't go on your lunch hour if you have a time limit. Soccer moms with nothing better to do come out in packs in this area and hold up the lines debating on whether or not to buy one of the 8,000 $.49 items they gathered from around the store. Many times I come here and leave empty handed because I can't find anything and the only employees that are there seem to be clueless about where everything is and they have a "go find it yourself" attitude even though you already looked and you need help!! They're so clueless on inventory too I'm just so sick of it for now I'll just buy stuff on their online store and perhaps start looking for another crafts store..this one is just so unreliable. I have been a customer for a long time but it's time to move on until it gets better. There was a sweet lady there that was trying to help me (she was like the only one there who seemed to care) and bless her. She has trying to do so many things at once. Called the store up for some items. Spoke to a really nice girl and she put them aside for me. I swung by after work to pick up the items only to find that they were HALF USED. The containers were missing 1/2 the product. Spoke to a manager and asked was there a discount because the items were half missing (normally I would have passed on them but this all they had in the local hobby lobby area) She blatently said no. So I went on to look for my other items. ran into the girl who put the items aside who "offered" me a discount on the items because they were half gone. Went to pay and met up with this manager who I encountered when I came into the store. I paid the cashier, who was just as nice as the girl I spoke to via phone. upon leaving the RUDE MANAGER accused of me doing dirty business and made a snide remark about me using the products to sell as a higher rate and beating Hobby Lobby out of a discount. Neither of which is true! I then offered to give her back the items and asked her why didnt see at first just not sell them and damage them out.... Needless to say, to BE ACCUSED of doing "DIRTY BUSINESS" is not only slanderous, but also absurd. It shouldnt be of concern whether I'm eating the product, selling the product etc.. What should be of more concern is that Hobby Lobby is a store in which prides themselves on "Christian-Like" values, when in fact this woman is judgemental and throws out false accusations. OPEN MORE LANES!!!! Each and every time I walk into this store, I wait in line for a minimum of 10 minutes. I end up having to leave before making my purchase about 50% of the time. It's getting ridiculous! There was an employee fluffing a display of pillows while 10 people stood in a single line waiting to check out. I'm not the only one irritated by this. There was a customer mutiny forming in the line while we discussed how tired we are of this happening all the time. 3 customers (me included) walked out, leaving carts full of unpurchased merchandise. Hobby Lobby will pay someone more money to put all the stuff away than it would pay to staff just one extra cashier. Fix it already! read more

Ordered a frame and mat. Was told they would call me when it came in. They didn't. I called them and after being on hold with framing for 4 min the call was disconnected. Had to call 2 more times to get and answer. I took my art in later the same day and was told I would need to leave it because the framing person didn't work on Saturday (they could have told me that on the phone before I drove 25 minutes to store. I refused to leave my art as it was my work and is a present for a family member. I now have to go back next week when a farmer is on duty to get it finished. Very frustrating! read more

The staff is rude! I have used this craft store for 6 months and the contact I have with floor staff and cashiers is a giant disappointment. The framing department is ridiculous. I picked up one framed print that was done correctly and had to wait another 2 weeks for the remaining two prints because they messed up and had to reorder the mat and frames. When I picked up my second print (it coordinated with the first print I had already picked up) it was not what I had ordered. The woman actually told me that what I originally picked out didn't look nice and she changed it. The mat color and size were different and the placement of the frame trim was not where I wanted it to be. I was told I would have to wait 2 more weeks because they would have to reorder the frame and trim. Wait! What?! I got insulted on what I want to hang in MY home and now I have to wait for YOU to get it right? I got my print back and was given $60 for my trouble on a $150 frame job. I am still in the hole because I will have to take the original piece to be reframed so both prints will coordinate. Shop for craft supplies elsewhere! read more

The manager is rude, the person at check out is so pissed off with her job that she unwillingly greets you and rudely responds to your question concerning any item. NOT JUST FOR HOBBYISTS When it comes to holiday decor, and craft items, this is my preferred store to shop. They always have a great selection of holiday decor for inside and outside decorating and it is usually on sale. The post holiday clearance sales are even better and provide a good opportunity for stocking up on your favorite items. People tend to forget that this store also carries furniture. I was looking for just the right table for my bedroom wall. I wanted something that had a low profile and would not interfere with my walking through the area. I found the perfect half round table and I absolutely love it because it fit perfectly with my decor. It is black and has the bottom shelf that holds magazines and display items. Most importantly the table was on sale for 30% off and is a quality item. I love that I can walk into this store, (at the right time), to get my artwork dry mounted and prepared for framing while I wait!. Any time I can avoid making a second trip, I am elated. The best time to visit this store is just minutes after opening and late in the evening. You definitely want to be careful around the weekend, holidays and during any promotional events. Waiting in line is sometimes the most challenging part of the trip but oh so worth it when you find exactly what you need. I've been shopping at this HL for years and I've always supported their conservative views but lately I've stopped shopping here and drive further to another HL because the staff here are SOOOO RUDE. Older, short cashier (I think her name is Joan or Jan?) is condescending and makes faces like you're stupid if you ask a question about a sale. The lady with the glasses and curly hair (I think her name is Eileen?) in scrapbooking has MAJOR ATTITUDE and frequently talks about the customers in the aisles. I've heard her say "she's here again" or "she's been here forever" to others. Perhaps the managers should remind staff that it's the customer's money that gives them their work hours and pays their salaries!!! However, some of the asst managers are no better. Many of us artists and crafters go to meander the aisles and find inspiration at such a store...not to be rushed or criticized. read more

I was greeted by at least three people, asking if I was OK or if I needed help finding something. The only thing that I don't look forward to is the long lines. Horrible experience. Extremely disappointed. Disorganized & dirty. Could not find an item that I always buy (I go to this location regularly because it's nearer) because the items in their shelves were disorganized. The customer service people did NOT help at all. The first employee I asked was rude. The next one I asked said they did not know, the other one I asked did not bother helping even if I had the item number. I just wanted to know whether they had an item that I buy regularly in stock, or if another Hobby Lobby store had it in stock.I needed about 20 sets of this item and was not available for purchase online. This Hobby Lobby is enormous! I'm not sure how they stay in business though because their parking lot is usually empty and the store itself never seems to be busy. I used to enjoy going to this place a lot until the night I went for a return. The pen I got from the store seemed to have a problem. The ink inside of the pen was coming out too much and dripping whenever I squeezed the pen, which I was supposed to in order to use it, and the lady there kept telling me that I am not supposed to squeeze the pen that hard. Maybe it was my fault for squeezing the pen too hard, but the lady sounded very rude and it made me feel disgusted at the moment. I don't know what kind of return policy hobby lobby has, but definitely you guys did a great job on ruining my day! If anyone of you guys doesn't want to ruin your day like I did, drive for another 5 minutes and go to Michael's. They at least don't treat you like shit. read more

have been back twice since my first review and i have to comment, if you have to use the restroom, go before you get here! i had to when i was there the last time and the bathroom was disgusting! all stalls were dirty and when i say dirty, i mean dirty. BUT i'm not going to hold it against them since i'm really just going there for their frame shop. i would just recommend using hand sanitizer after visiting the store since the facilities were so bad. read more

Yes, the store has lots of craft/home décor/seasonal merchandise BUT the majority of the employees are VERY rude and unhelpful. Management (which is even ruder - just totally ignores regular customers after he has seen you in the store weekly) really doesn't seem to care. Have a lot of turnover in this store as well. Definitely NOT customer oriented. Have been coming to this store (closest one to me) for years but seriously considering going to one that is a little further away because this store's attitude is continuing to go down hill. Having read a lot of Hobby Lobby reviews on this site and other web sites, poor customer service and attitude have been a problem for a long time and continues to be. Why don't they take other craft stores' coupons? They only allow you to use 1 coupon a day no matter what. They would much rather lose a sale than take another coupon from someone who happened to be in earlier that day. Quality of merchandise is "iffy" - some good, some bad. read more
