I was left completely upset and feeling extremely disrespected after leaving this establishment. My boyfriend and I drove well over an hour and a half to paint a small ring dish the size of my palm and called prior to driving down to ensure we would be able to be seen at 8:15. We were reassured that we would most certainly be able to be seen so we made the hour and a half drive down to paint and were met with complete disrespect from an employee named Percy. He claimed he didn't feel like staying late and didn't care that we had called prior and drove extremely far to be seen. He then pressured his other staff member to make the same call despite our calls prior and stood over me as I asked for a contact number interjecting to the second staff member as I spoke. As someone who works in customer service this was completely disrespectful and inappropriate and I'd hope this isn't the standard that this company holds itself to because honestly it was extremely unnecessary and rude. It's pretty upsetting as we drove over three hours round trip just to be turned down upon arrival and be met with a bad attitude. read more

I had no idea this type of activity existed until my friend invited me. I love painting so this was a perfect fit for me. It's in the mall but easily accessible from the movie theater entrance at Sugarloaf Mills. Since I had a guide for my first time it was a less stress experience but the staff offered kind and polite assistance. Wash your hand first, then wander and pick your pottery. There are many pieces to choose from at different price points. Then take your piece to the desk to check-in and choose your paints. From there grab a table and get started painting. Simply drop off and pay at the desk when you're done. Come back and pick up in a week once it's been glazed and fired. Please hire better/more staff. The young people there seem to be uninterested and flustered with the amount of work they are dealing with. There is nothing wrong with hiring young folks but please make sure they can handle what is being asked of them. When I was trying to ask questions about how much time was left to paint I was met with eye rolling and attitude. I was reluctant to ask anything else during my session. ATTENTION EVERYONE * This place is very, very, very unprofessional. This business needs to be shut down. Several people warned me about this place. I wanted to give it a try. This was the worst service I have ever experienced. One Saturday afternoon, my family and I visited the store. The staff seemed ok at the time. About 10 minutes into us starting Samantha told we have 30 minutes left to finish. So, we asked can we return the next day to finish. She said yes. We were not informed to schedule an appointment for the " working progress". We returned the next day to finish our work but Samantha told us that there was an hour and a half wait knowing they close in an hour from that time. We looked around and noticed plenty of empty tables and no one was walking in. We asked her for a refund because we couldn't return any other day due to the long distance we came from. I begged her to allow us to finish until those people showed up. She showed a lack of empathy. We decided to sit and finish our work anyway because they made us pay the full amount the previous day. We were able to finish our because no one came in. So, I felt they lied to us so they can close early. We left everything to dry that day. Eight days later I received a text message stating that our pieces will have to be mailed to us because "due to our conduct" we are no longer welcomed there. On that day we did not yell, we did not cuss, nor did we make a seen. But we are no longer welcomed there, right. I would never return to this pathetic piece of business. Business like this need to be shut down. Also, ABC management stop responding with a passive aggressive way to customer with bad reviews. Own it and do better. read more

Had such a fun time here! We were able to walk right in without an appointment, select a piece of pottery and start painting with 5 minutes! It was a perfect chill date night under $50 (you could also spend much less depending on which piece you select). This is located in a mall with plenty of restaurants and an amc theatre. *if you are painting pottery, you have to leave it for a week do they can dry it! read more

She's 6 and she has been secretly drawing in her room by watching those really awesome "Arts for Kids Hub" videos introduced by her art teacher. I love art too. We visited ABC Potteru for the first time today. The staff did a great job of explaining everything and answering questions. They very very friendly. The process was very organized. There was a great selection of items to choose from. I haven't been to an establishment like this before, so I'm unsure if I'd the cost is comparable. I went with my 8 year old and 3 year old. I'm looking forward to returning with just my older kid, or a friend, to be able to spend more time and attention to detail on our projects. The 3 year olds attention span was short. Parking is amazing here since ABC Pottery is in a mall. :) ABC Pottery has literally anything and everything for you pottery wise to paint. It's awesome. All sorts of things around the store for you to pick. Plenty of space, tables, etc. The staff are very helpful & kind! Anything I needed for my bowl I was painting - the staff was super great at helping me. I'm not an artsy person, so the basic rules of painting are not in my brain, lol. *I wanted to mention this: if you have a party you want to bring here (whether it's Adults, Kids whatever), call ahead and let the staff know! Just because they can help scoot the tables together and have the appropriate items open. ABC Pottery has a good amount of foot traffic on a normal day. After you're done painting, they'll get your item finished off with the furnace (?). You can pick it up when they let you know. read more

I love this place. Everything about this place is beyond great, I don't know where to start. I decided to go for the hand building pottery class, which wasn't overly priced and in my opinion, worth every dollar spent. The first visit starts with the actual building of whatever you want. They give a good amount of clay for you to create. I believe the instructor I had was named Bree and she was a joy to be around. The next visit which is about a week or so after the initial one is where you paint your creation and the finial visit is to pick up your items. I was a difficult customer when it came to scheduling the appointment, but the staff here made sure everything was taken care of. I wish I took pictures during each visit, but I was just so excited to participate. I'm definitely coming back here. Thank you guys for such a great experience! read more

SHAMEFUL!!! They have way too many previously painted items on unsecured shelving at the front of the store and something fell off when my 2nd grade daughter walked by. It's possible she touched the handle in passing but if there wasn't so much crap cluttered together this wouldn't have happened. The associate made her feel like garbage and said she'd have to pay $10 for it. There is no reason to embarrass an 8yr old girl and make her feel so bad. She cried and didn't want to paint... what a disappointment that wasn't even necessary. HORRIBLE customer service. We had so much fun painting our pottery. I'm only giving 2 starts because the Sunday after noon is so much more that unhelpful. She was annoyed at any question we had (we had never been before). When we went to pay she was annoyed that we did not remember the price of the pieces we had chosen and she had to walk over to the shelf and check. We had to ask when we could come get our pieces and she volunteered no information or help. She seemed like she did not want to be there and didn't want us there either. read more

We went here to make some gifts for grandparents for the holidays. My 4 year old aspiring artist loved it, as did my husband and I. The employee was very helpful with guiding us, and I was very pleased with the outcome. Lots of colors and brushes and things for all tastes and price ranges.
